@@hackneybarkers I had 3 mini wires myself and then our breeder let me groom 6 of theirs to learn how. Got lots of practice. Eventually I would groom them ready for show. When my dogs got older and sore with arthritis I switched to clipper work on them to keep them comfortable. I have subsequently learned to groom golden doodles. I am not a pro or FT groomer. Just do it on the side. Currently have 3 "clients".
It depends on the circumstances. If the dog is matted and using that blade was necessary, I would explain the situation to the customer and work together to establish a grooming routine that helps maintain a longer coat ❤️
Hello 👋 Many grooming competitions often have seminars. Alternatively, you can always reach out to breeds/style experts, they often hold classes upon request!
Im a little relieved 😂😂. I saw the size and thought he might be a goldendoodle. He just rescued a pup and he looks pretty big. I was trying to gauge how big 😂. Thank you
Great video, I have a spanish water dog and have went through 2 sets of wall clippers that couldntget through his coat as it is so thick both sets were cordless, can you recommend set of clippers that could get through his coat
Hey! We’re glad that you have enjoyed our video! Hmm that’s surprising, which Wahl clipper are you using? We use Heiniger sapphire clippers and Andis clippers for the majority of our work and our Wahl Arco for small areas such as paw pads.
Great advice ladies. I am a self taught dog groomer and today I tried to groom my sisters cockapoo 🙈 my gosh it was more difficult than I thought it would be. What number attachment would you recommend for all over body as she doesn’t want her too short. ?? Thank you 🙏 god bless 🫶🏻
Hey! The yellow comb attachment is generally a nice and manageable length. However, everyone’s perception of short is different. If you try it, let us know what you and your sister think! Good luck with everything ❤️
I love the comment about burnout. I am now returning to grooming professionally after a 2 year gap because I was a powerhouse waiting to shut down.
Thanks for this video! I am going to start my Level2 dog grooming course next month! I’m so excited and so buzzing about it!! Can’t wait! ❤
Hey! That’s amazing news! Glad that you liked the video! Have the best time on your course and good luck 🐾
Relaxing to watch
That’s great! 😀❤️
Great tips. I used to hand strip 9 mini wire-haired dachshunds. Your video brought back memories :)
Aw! That’s amazing!! 🥰

Hi.what do you do if the customer says a number five blade is to short for a mini poodle?

Excellent advice 😊
We are glad you found them helpful 🙌

Hi, great video. Can I ask where you go for seminars? I’m new to grooming and work alone so would love to keep learning. Thanks 🙏🏻

Hey guys, What breed is the big grey and white dog? Looks like an ooodle of some sort?
Certainly! Here’s an improved version:
That’s right! Meet Noodle, the Bernadoodle! A mix of a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Standard Poodle!

Thanks for this video. Where is the best place to get all the equipment, please?
We are based in the UK and we bought most of our equipment from Christies Direct 🤍

If ya have a matted pooch ya know it's best to have the Shih Tzu's shaved is ok to suggest to the groomer to just please shave them?
Definitely, if you know your pet is matted, you can ask your groomer to shave him/her ❤️
I’m taking way too long on any type of dog and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
The most important thing is to be satisfied with the result of your work, don’t worry too much about speed, as it will improve over time 💪
❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
Brick face is cute
🤩 thank you!
Great hand stripping
😀❤️ thank you!!
You guys do great! This advice needs a warning though. These tips arent for corporate groomers lol
