  • As the world marks 50 years of Israeli occupation in Palestine, Conflict Zone speaks with Yair Lapid in Tel Aviv, a former finance minister who is tipped as a future prime minister. What is his vision for peace in the region?
Conflict Zone is Deutsche Welle's top political interview. Every week, our hosts Tim Sebastian and Michel Friedman are face-to-face with global decision-makers, seeking straight answers to straight questions, putting the spotlight on controversial issues and calling the powerful to account.

Being of half middle eastern descent, I really didnt like Netanyahu. I really like Yair Lapid, and actually agree with him on many issues. I would hope he would be the first Prime minister of Earth when the "world order" finally emerges . This would most likely happen after a nuclear war or when we after have first contact with extraterrestrials be it friendly or not.

Sebastian is actually asking tough questions on all his interviews, he has fair points to make too, as far as I seen Sebastian is not really pro or anti anything on the interviews, he just looks for the questions that will make the person he is interviewing tick or corner him, I highly suggest you look at his interviews named "Qatar: dragging its feet over reform" and "Barak: "I'm not happy with any human life lost"" for comparisons.
he may seem bias depending on which side you are listening from but what remains consistent is him asking tough questions, him pressing those is another matter depending on the context like when Lapid becomes confrontational with him or Barak trying to explain himself, maybe Sebastian has some bias but him asking tough questions is not it nor the allegation that he refrains from that depending on who he is asking questions(in my opinion).
