I have well over a dozen wired chifi IEMS including some truly considered endgame IEMS. I have 9 DAP players and a Shanling H5 Dac. The engine 4: Minor Negatives is the treble missing that final extension and minor minor hint of grainess and the bass is a bit bloated. But this is the intentional tuning of this IEM. This is a very good wireless IEM. The relaxed tuning is so good, it is my go to sleeping earbuds. If it is all about the music, It is a very good musical IEM. I purchased A2DP for the LDAC connection and all my music on Jriver is pure wav file. I can say I am running at 909 KB consistent with any drops from my PC. Fantastic LDAC connection. Fit and finish is fantastic!
Engine 4 is an excellent all rounder and with the treble tuning roll off/dissapation, no chance of silibance. The bass is a bit bloated but works with R&B and many genres. Currently the wired IEM market is saturated and pushing the limits of treble with the likes of the of the S12 and Simgot lineup which are silibant/near silibant. No IEM is perfect, most are tuned to certain genres or all rounders. Endgame IEMS just raise the bar. They will be tuned to be engame in certain genres or endgame all rounders but will be beaten by the engame in certain genre IEMS. @@pickyaudio The other thing is synergy between dac and iems. I saw another youtuber talking about speakers and dacs and they have to have synergy. For example Warm sound paired dac paired with a neutral sound might have synergy or it might not.

great video as always .. i ve got mine engine 4's about two weeks ago , first impression was great , they did sound really good althougth i always felt that something was missing in the upper range of frequencies , female vocals and trumbets sounds like from a distance and the overall sound was not as dynamic and engaging as i prefer . a few days ago i decide to remove the plastic cover from the buds hole and also the membrane besides them , i suppose this membrane was there for the ipx4 rating , anyway the sound was immediately transformed .. female vocals sounds amazing now, highs become airy and sparkling and overall the sound was significally upgraded . im listening with flat eq and i dont feel the need to even touch a thing , thats how good they are ... i really cant think any earbuds under 100 usd sound like that ... really if you dont care much about ipx4 give it a try ... you ll be amazed ..
what about sound quality between engine 4 and liberty 4 nc? is that close or just bought engine 4 for the sound quality? also, engine 4 fitting look like quiet uncomfortable
Hi, how good is the passive isolation in these? I'm used to walking on the street, cars coming and going, and I wanna know if these are any good in blocking some of that noise. If it helps, I HAD the H1 and I thought those made a good job with that, so, comparing it to the H1,how good is it?
@@robertoencina2932 yeah I have Soundpeats TrueEngine 3SE and Anker Life dot3i/A3i. The passive isolation on 3SE have the same level with Anker when the ANC on almost 90% the same😅. Its good enough to isolate my Air Conditioner and PC noise. But I dont know about the Engine 4, the price so attempt to try around 37-40 usd here from official Soundpeats online store.

I just bought the earbud based on this raving review. Unfortunately, this is my 3rd Soundpeats I bought from Amazon and I will also be returning it as well. I could not hear any of the bassy sound you've described. Using the customized equalization in this video made the high distorted. My Samsung Galaxy Bud 2 Pro sounds miles better than this.
@@pickyaudio the bigger tips seemed make the sound a lot better, which is still not as loud as my Samsung Galaxy Bud2 Pro. Also I could not get the Android app to update the firmware. I had to use the iPhone app to get it the latest firmware. Also I can't get my Samsung Flip5 it to use the LDAC codec.. it's always using AAC for some reason. My Pixel 7 does utilize the LDAC (yes I have 3 phones). Not sure if the problem is Samsung's or Soundpeat's to fix?
A dumb question : my earfun free pro is getting old (some abrasions, right earbud drain faster..) but still working. I want just to know if engine 4 is a real upgrade (only in terms of sound quality), or I don't have to expect a big step (so, maybe wait for something as good or more than Eng4, but with more functions)

Hello James. So recently bought this pair, and i notice i have some issue with the multi point connection. I connected my engine to my android device, then from Soundpeats app i turn on the multi connection. I then turned off my phone's BL off, then connected the second device: my windows laptop. After connected to my android, after some time the connection to my android BL turned off, so was only connected to my laptop. Been experiencing this issue for quite sometime. I tried, multiple times, resetting the buds then reconnect to 2 devices, but this problem somehow still exist. any idea how to deal with this?
That's annoying! See if there is a firmware update in the SoundPEATS app. There may also be some multipoint settings in the app s well. If that doesn't work try a factory reset of the earbuds (check the manual on how do this).
Bro, when you check Fiil CC Pro or CC Pro 2 ? I am sure, they are the best sounding earbuds in the market on the budget! Amazing value with features! Come on, bro! Waiting fot your opinion! Hello from Ukraine!
"I came across your channel, desperately looking for an answer and man, your review is amazing. I love Soundpeats and, for some reason, my H1 which has been the loudest earphones I've ever had, great bass, I love tribal and electronic music... And, the problem is that out of nowhere, my H1 is not as loud as it used to be, I have unpaired it and even did a hard reset, it didn't fix the problem. Man I used to love it so much.. Any idea here, or do you know what else there is for me to do to make it come back to life? lol.. My space A40 is now louder than the H1.. That never happened!! I am so upset! Now, if I am not able to fix it, is the engine 4 as loud as the H1? Which one do you recommend to make it up for my H1? You got a subscriber here... There is no other review like yours! Thanks for the video and keep it up!"
@@freofeIf you looking for volume the Engine 4 aint it. H1 are definitely louder. I would say try to see if they need some cleanup. If the filter is clogged remove it completely I personally dont feel like they make a difference.
I love the 48000 Hrz H1! Best buds ever ! Crisp, loud and with a big soundstage. The 44100 Hrz Engine 4 sounds nutered in comparison. Especially the loudness is lacking. Overdriving them with special software tells me that they could get louder. But the idiots chose battery life. As an owner of 6x H1 i can tell what happened and what to do. I love them to bits, but they all have the same issue with humidity killing one of the two speakers inside, if you wear them for a long time and recharge them directly atferwards. Yes, you heard correct. Your buds are toast buddy, sorry. I have prolonged their life by turning them off after use an letting them cool off/dry for a few minutes before i put them back in the case to recharge.
@@beerus3911 idk just got the engine 4 and the fit is harsh. I can't get a good seal. If I push them all the way in, then they sound good but it's not practical. I might return them if I can't fix these problem
Try to use Wavelet to fix it, use the limiter to increase their max volume, it'll help a lot cause i had the same issue and basically with this option turned on i found myself not being able to go over 70% volume most times (counting that before this I had to blast them all the way up to 100% volume sometimes).
For me too, i need to use bigger eartips than normally, but with them good fit. For the dual pairing, for me it switches instantly, nothing from 5-10 seconds.
Liberty 4 is slightly more v shaped with more sparkle in the treble. But sound stage and instrument seperation is better on the engine. Super close I just prefer the liberty 4
better trebble on the CX plus. Mids kind of similar. Engine 4 is a bit warmer with more sub bass. CX plus slightly more balanced. It depends on what you like
Great review. I love Soundpeats earbuds and I just ordered a set of these this morning. There are things I don't care about in earbuds, among them being much quality since I always remove my buds for phone calls anyway. I'm not too concerned with ANC either. I am all about audio quality and battery life and these seemed to fit my needs. I always rely on your reviews to inform. Another great job!
I just got them and I have the H1 and Free 2 Classic, if you add a bit subbass on eq so the first slider basically and use the same treble eq as picky audio the sound quality is a bit better than H1, but subbass is a bit better in h1 even after the eq but I feel like the treble is better executed here at engine 4 because it doesnt get harsh as h1 gets sometimes, and as far as volume, unfortunately it doesnt get as loud as h1 and free 2 classic which sucks, I just wish I had just one click of volume more. Its not like its quiet but coming from h1 and free 2 classic which are crazy loud you feel these more muted, however for me it seemed at least as the firmware update fixed the volume a bit still not as loud as h1 tho but jot by a huge margin. Dual Point connectivity is soooo good as a feature, and battery life isnquite simply NUTS. For reference i dont use ldac I dont see the difference at all between ldac and aac not ro mention not a whole lot of subscriptions use it as I use TH-cam music which is not hifi. If you have any other question let me know, glad to help

great video as always .. i ve got mine engine 4's about two weeks ago , first impression was great , they did sound really good althougth i always felt that something was missing in the upper range of frequencies , female vocals and trumbets sounds like from a distance and the overall sound was not as dynamic and engaging as i prefer . a few days ago i decide to remove the plastic cover from the buds hole and also the membrane besides them , i suppose this membrane was there for the ipx4 rating , anyway the sound was immediately transformed .. female vocals sounds amazing now, highs become airy and sparkling and overall the sound was significally upgraded . im listening with flat eq and i dont feel the need to even touch a thing , thats how good they are ... i really cant think any earbuds under 100 usd sound like that ... really if you dont care much about ipx4 give it a try ... you ll be amazed ..
Awesome stuff I’ll have to give it a try. The only long term issue with that is ear wax and other gunk blocking that hole.
This versus CMF Buds Pro? Planning to buy the Buds Pro 2, but I would appreciate a comparison between this and CMF Buds Pro.
Have you reviewed the new soundcore r50i nc..?
If you have which do you prefer by sound quality...?
Hi mate whats the volume on these like. Same as opera?
Will I notice significant difference when using spinfit eartips?
You might notice a slight improvement in the treble
Engine 4 or air 4 pro? which one should i get?
which one is the best H1 or engine 4 ??
Engine 4
what about sound quality between engine 4 and liberty 4 nc? is that close or just bought engine 4 for the sound quality? also, engine 4 fitting look like quiet uncomfortable
??? Im wondering the same... what about the liberty 4 nc??
Hi, how good is the passive isolation in these? I'm used to walking on the street, cars coming and going, and I wanna know if these are any good in blocking some of that noise.
If it helps, I HAD the H1 and I thought those made a good job with that, so, comparing it to the H1,how good is it?
For me when I use the larger ear tips it’s better than average passive noise isolation. Slightly better than the H1 going off rough memory
@@pickyaudio Thanks!
Ear tips on these sucks you must replace with softer ones are you won't get the seal and bass response you want
I have soundpeats engine 4 and realme bud air 5 pro, i think i really like realme bud air 5 pro because have a great bass than engine 4 with dual driver woofer 11mm and tweeter 6mm
Can u post you favorite eq?
h1 vs engine 4? which is better? im using h1.want to move another one
Engine 4
my h1 left earbud giving muffled sound after connect 10 to 20 sec in start it gives gud sound but after 10 20 sec it got muffled.loss treble and sound get low.what is issue?
i just bought them, and these things have such a huge sound stage, a few times i had to take the earbuds off just to be sure the sound isnt coming from outside , you know what i mean?
like listening to this video on my earbuds i had to take off my earbuds just to make sure the voice isnt coming infront of me from the laptop.
or when im watching netflix and theres a doorbell sound in the movie, i actually looked to my right wondering why there is a doorbell in the train
WAHAAHHA that's actually so cool! Out of the countless vids I've watched from Kenneth Tanaka, and Picky, and among a few other vids from other TH-camrs, I think I'm picking these ones for my budget!
😂😂 top quality uh
I know what you mean, happened to me with the Donner do bud one
Have u ever review soundcore life dot3i?
Im still confuse which one is the best for listening rock/metal music
I just got mine, how do you wear this thing.
The fit relies on the ear tips so try all of them and see what works best for you
@@pickyaudio yea, its just the buds are shaped differently for me. I'm used to just a standard earphones. I don't know where you should point it. Like how this tutorial demonstrates th-cam.com/users/shortsL_MUdeEKvQc?si=pHmKKIfAg12_VwFf
I accidentally washed the L bud! But its still working! Hope it still last though 😞
I accidentally took my right earbud for a good 2 hour swim. I didn't know it was in my pocket. To make things worse, I threw the damn shorts in the washing machine shortly after swimming so yeah my Soundpeats Engine 4 right bud was in the water for 3 hours. It's not working anymore 💀
I've been wanting to try other brands but I'm scared they're not gonna sound as good as the Engine 4s
Please can you do a video of the KZ VXS PRO vs Soundpeats True Engine 4??? 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
What level of audio do they offer ? Donner dobud 1 or Sony xm4?
so if you only get to choose one which would you get edifierw240 or these ones?
I have both and love them equally. If ANC and Ambient mode is important to you then W240TN. Otherwise, I’d choose the Engine 4
@@cliffordchan. How about the passive isolation on Engine 4?
I have TrueEngine 3SE, the passive isolation so similar to my Anker life dot3i/A3i when the ANC ON almost 90% the same. Isolate my Air Conditioner and PC noise 😅 .
@@xgadgetid8270 it’s heavily dependent on the individuals ear. But with JVC Spiral Dots ear tips, it does have very good noise isolation
Great channel
I just bought the earbud based on this raving review. Unfortunately, this is my 3rd Soundpeats I bought from Amazon and I will also be returning it as well. I could not hear any of the bassy sound you've described. Using the customized equalization in this video made the high distorted. My Samsung Galaxy Bud 2 Pro sounds miles better than this.
Have you tried all the ear tips? I had the same issue until I found the right one for me
@@pickyaudio the bigger tips seemed make the sound a lot better, which is still not as loud as my Samsung Galaxy Bud2 Pro.
How’s the volume control, do they get loud?
Engie 4 or capsule 3 pro?? Plz reply
would you recommend the W240TN or the engine 4 for sound quality?
Engine 4 👍
A dumb question : my earfun free pro is getting old (some abrasions, right earbud drain faster..) but still working. I want just to know if engine 4 is a real upgrade (only in terms of sound quality), or I don't have to expect a big step (so, maybe wait for something as good or more than Eng4, but with more functions)
I think its only support SBC & LDAC, no AAC (in box desc)
Genre rating? 🙏
Soundpeats mini pro vs soundpeats engine 4... Which one is best
Engine pro 4
Man these release after I get a new bud 💀
Anyway these seem like a great deal to me! I might get these soon
What new bud did you get?
@@pickyaudio the free2 classics they're greats buds but I mainly got them because of battery life and your review
Oh btw I have a really obscure bud to recommend to you. The infinix moi air 1 pro could be alot to ship to where you live though
Used to love the time markings on your videos
I still have them?
Ahh I forgot to add the first time stamp so It didn’t show,. Thanks for letting me know 👍
Bro, when you check Fiil CC Pro or CC Pro 2 ? I am sure, they are the best sounding earbuds in the market on the budget! Amazing value with features! Come on, bro! Waiting fot your opinion!
Hello from Ukraine!
Cheers Dwight, I’ll review them eventually 👍
@@pickyaudio 👍🤝
Are they better than soundcore liberty 3 pro? Soundwise.
Liberty 3 pro is better in every way. If I’d compare these to anything from soundcore a year later would be the Space A 40s
Have auto pause?
They don’t, forgot to mention that 😅
My phone don't support ldac So will I not get the best output from this device? Or i should check another?
No need to worry about the codec it only makes a small difference
capsule 3 pro or engine 4 ??
Sound quality engine 4 is much better
This guy does not respond to his subscribers. That's not how things work. Too bad.
@@freofeIf you looking for volume the Engine 4 aint it. H1 are definitely louder. I would say try to see if they need some cleanup. If the filter is clogged remove it completely I personally dont feel like they make a difference.
It has a decent amount of volume. I generally listen at a high volume, too. I can only crank it up to 70-80%. It is loud for me.
@@sixtus2318 are you sure about this? You're making me buy H1!

Which is better soundcore a40 or engine 4 I’m really confused I ordered the a40 but I’m still unsure
Engine 4 sounds a lot better, but you don’t get ANC or good app support
@@pickyaudio yeah but i already ordered the Soundcore one should i cancel it and go for the engine 4 (context im a college student)
@@pickyaudio what would you do in my situation?
@@pickyaudioif you could help me that would be great
@@beerus3911 idk just got the engine 4 and the fit is harsh. I can't get a good seal. If I push them all the way in, then they sound good but it's not practical. I might return them if I can't fix these problem
I like them however the fit is not the best. Also They don’t get that loud compared to my AirPod pro 2nd gen
Try to use Wavelet to fix it, use the limiter to increase their max volume, it'll help a lot cause i had the same issue and basically with this option turned on i found myself not being able to go over 70% volume most times (counting that before this I had to blast them all the way up to 100% volume sometimes).
What should I do if my headphones are disconnected? How can I reset to factory settings
Open the case and press the button at the bottom for 10 seconds, while the earbuds are still inside :D
For me too, i need to use bigger eartips than normally, but with them good fit.
For the dual pairing, for me it switches instantly, nothing from 5-10 seconds.
How does it compare to the Soundcore Liberty 4 in terms of sound quality?
Liberty 4 is slightly more v shaped with more sparkle in the treble. But sound stage and instrument seperation is better on the engine. Super close I just prefer the liberty 4
@@pickyaudio interesting! For something half the price of the Liberty 4 and sound as good, it could be a great gift for love ones.
@@geekytroll7968 Don´t forget the H1, which tops both by a smidge in my optinion.

Is it good for a side sleeper?
No. It sticks out quite a bit. It is not plush at all, and it is quite chunky.
@@ryg1991 that sounds uncomfortable I think I'll pass. I'll just wait for Liberty 4 NC review then. Thanks
Can you review "jbl tune buds" ?
sound quality vs sennheiser cx or any sennheiser model without anc .... please
better trebble on the CX plus. Mids kind of similar. Engine 4 is a bit warmer with more sub bass. CX plus slightly more balanced. It depends on what you like
Capsule 3 pro or engine 4?
Capsule 3 Pro: more features (ANC, transparency mode, etc.)
Engine 4: better sound quality, better battery life
Great review.
Thanks! These sound like a great bud for you, enjoy 😊
Hey, air 3 pro or Redmi buds 4 pro?
Also if you have some other's that are better than these two in similar price range.
Thanks in advance ☺️
I don't think you mentioned the volume in this review!? 😱😱 How do they compare volume wise to H2 H1?
