Always remember when Rudy talked about Hasbro limiting the print run of Doctor Who Collector boxes (video released to public on Oct 3, 2023). Patreon members had earlier access to that video and started to buy up boxes on Oct 2nd. Then TCG player boxes started going up from ~$220 to $270 by Oct 6th. Heavily indicating that Rudy's Patreon members and true believers started buying boxes at inflated prices. Since then, boxes are found everywhere for $200 or less. Yes, these boxes will eventually go up someday (hopefully sooner than other recent collector booster boxes that haven't come close yet). Just don't get caught up in market swings generated from a TH-cam video. It is 100% okay to enjoy talking about people paying a monthly subscription to buy sealed product at 20-30% above what they should be. Rudy does it all the time and his Patreon members don't even understand he is talking about them lol.
This is a super fun set to play,i also love a lot these long openings,plus still watching Dr Who the series,currently at season 6

Ironically "rare" is indeed a very well known and chased card type across many TCG's, including Magic.

Would have loved to get my hands on this set. Alas with this economy today they really dont give a crap about the fans and just want to pander to the elite few that can afford these sets. This only destroys their fan base, and we will all just end up moving on to another TCG that hasn't walked all over the fans/players.
I'm always amazed they get away with the prices they do. Pokémon got a load of stick when they did that £300-400 Classic Collection box. In Magic those kind of prices are the norm.
@@monkey39128 Magic players have been set up in a textbook definition boiled frog situation. The only difference is that they cranked up the heat on this fire like a blast furnace and people keep throwing money into the blaze. It really was refreshing seeing the Pokemon market react to the Classic Collection box and gave me some hope that other TCG communities won't stand for this kind of approach.
The last time I was at Target they had tons of $30 hanger packs. Or do you mean you only want the collector boxes? Do collector boxes have the chance at numbered cards? If so isn't it that you don't really want the cards...you just want the rare cards that everyone else wants, and that's why they're so expensive?

Hasn't the BBC destroyed Dr. Who? Fallout, when was that last relevant? They going to do a Universes Beyond with Spawn next? Aren't they doing Marvel as well? Yeah that IP is doing really well at the moment 🤣🤣🤣 It's one thing to be positive, it's another to be completely delusional.
It's a common trend with most of these "Universes Beyond" IPs. When was the last time Assassin's Creed was relevant? Is Final Fantasy still big? I'm thinking Final Fantasy might be the only "big" IP they've gotten for this, but I've never really been a fan of FF.

Yeah the BBC went ultra woke. It's a shame because it was a solid series during the David Tennant and Matt Smith eras. I feel sorry for the new guy playing The Doctor. He's come in at a bad time.
@@jayton2741 yeah Spawn was super good. But, I just don't get why a card company would bring in dead IPs to push their products. I'm also probably one of the only people who says negative things about all these modern cards and doesn't buy them.

What sleeve are you using for the PCG slabs Rudy?
It’s not a perfect fit sleeve, it’s a few millimeters past the end of the card. As for brand, I don’t know.
@Mactakun Yes I tried my PCG slab with "PSA perfect size" but doesn't fit I need some millimeters more as you said

My brother told me the place where he plays Yu-Gi-Oh is full of trans people nowadays so maybe they do play card games. 🤔 It's a niche group though so I don't see why Wizards or the BBC would specifically target them. The world's gone insane.

Rudy, you keep missing a single card as you flip through the cards. In the second box you skip a couple of cards. Like around 9:00 where there is a card behind Quantum Misalignment.
