Thank you so much for this review - mmm you have me very interested and nice to see something both a bit different and fits a normal hanger. Thank you again
The original sram axs derailleur is just under £400 now with a replaceable battery. Will be interesting to see how long the lifespan of the battery is in comparison . Great vid👌👍
Totally and one we can definitely compare as I (Laura) am on original AXS. Issue I had with that is my battery door opened and battery fell out mid race this year so I quite like the integrated one instead of my sram cable tie backup solution haha. Thanks!
Hope you managed to find your battery those things ain’t cheap. I run the gx axs that has a protective battery cover preventing it from falling out. It’s good to see other brands take on the wireless stuff really interesting 👍
Interesting product! I am still running mechanical 1x11, which gives me all the range I need. Moving that to electronic shifting without having to deal with the larger chainring, cassette and cage of a 1x12 is tempting. But for me the non-replaceable battery is a bummer, on the one hand it makes charging a bit of a hassle, and what happens once the battery dies? Could not find anything on their website about a replacement service, but even if they‘d offer one, I‘d not be too happy about the downtime.
It is, I enjoyed trying it out and will see how it lasts over the next while. The battery is meant to have a really long life so I'm hoping/expecting it will outlive it to be honest. My other half had her SRAM axs battery door open and battery fall out in a race this year so for me the integrated battery is quite attractive for rough riding. Definitely does have the sacrifice of more awkward charging though if no sockets nearby!
So does this work with shimano shadowplus then something I've been looking for I don't want to swap everything to sram I have 1x12 shadowplus on my new cube stereo action team, waiting for TRP to come out but this looking very int thanks for the review From Scottish new subscriber!
Yep it works with any 3-14 speed cassette as you just tune the distance between the cogs in the app. I fitted it to a shimano cassette. Huge benefit compared to the other brands that fix them for their own cassettes etc. Just had sram in the title as they have dominated the wireless scene until now. Glad it’s helpful! Welcome to the channel 🙌
Cheers, looking at it now it's asking to pick short or long cage, I have XT 1x12 with the SGS Long cage will it be the long cage I'll need to get yeah? I'm sure the short cage is XTR?
Yeah it’ll be the long cage which is for up to 52 tooth cassettes. The short is only up to 28 tooth which is a really small cassette. There’s a discount link in the description, it’s not much but it’s a small bit off it!
I would never use standard allen key bolts on a wireless system..Always use 'security bolts'..Like locking wheelnuts on cars wheels....Ha!! I'll stick with my XT thanks...!!

Tomas, it looks good. Look forward to a long term review👊
Thanks Woody. Yeah I’m interested to see long term too. I’ll do an update at some point 👍

No doubt a few rides in now, how is it holding up? Happy with it?
Yep plenty rides now and has been faultless. Still running on the one charge too riding every weekend

At seth's (Bike Peak)review the battery is not the same and removable and them give 2 battery
Think that was an old model last year

That one is Tiger King at Thornielee. One of my favourites on that hill

Do you know if they ship from china? One site was saying post office will be in contact to pay customs charge today
We asked this too and were told all charges are included in the price on the Wheeltop website. We didn’t have any on ours when it arrived

1 less cable through that nightmare of a headset 🤣
Hahah yes always a good thing with that headset 🤣
