  • Its hard to put into words how this day has affected me. Without spoiling anything. All I can say is that I am a changed bow hunter after this day, and the fire I have is ten fold

A Quick Summary of the Channel:
First off, if you made it this far into the description, awesome; fist bump for that one, appreciate it. I’ll start with what a WaterHopper is in my mind and you may actually find that you are one as well. A WaterHopper is anyone who always has fishing on their mind and/or is always ready to go at the drop of a hat. Whether that be they have the gear with them in the trunk, (for me it's the gear and the kayak); or they just are always willing to join in the fun. I hope you guys enjoy this compilation that is my successes, failures, and triumphs; sometimes all rolled into one video. I’ll do my best to keep the content coming and improving every week. Let me know in the comments if you think you could be considered a WaterHopper yourself. Have a good one, thanks for the view, and Keep Waterhoppin’.
I want to add that all this applies to your version of love for the outdoors as well. (hiking, hunting, biking, etc.)

Keep your head up....as hunters, most of us have been through it, or, are gonna go through it. We try to correct our errors, hope the deer makes it, and keep pushing. Great video. It shows that it doesn't always end in our favor.

My husband shot a nice buck mid October bow hunting. We tracked it for 2 days with a dog and thought the deer was long gone. 2 weeks later one of the landowners sent trail cam video of the buck. He was limping bad. Opening day gun season the neighbors best friend shot him at 7:30 am. only 150 yds from where my husband shot him. The friend said there wasn't much meat on him and the loins were small. He didn't think it would have survived the winter.

Yea, sucks but it happens to every hunter.
I looked at that footage a lot as well frame by frame and hard to tell where you hit. There was a "fur" spot like high neck I saw appear and then a "fur" spot in the gut area and then kind of looks like a splot of red back by the hind leg as you said, was that just flying blood or a spot on the fur or a kicked up leaf, impossible to say. One thing is for sure that deer had super long hair as it was moving all over the place as it whirled and ran, made everywhere look like a hit spot.

Guess I just had my day sooner than most folks. But I've learned from it for sure. And won't be taking a quartered to shot again for a long long time. So hard to say where it hit with the gopro footage.

Thanks man. Really appreciate. Only makes you gun harder. At least for me lol. Took a 8/10 addiction and made it an 11.

Find a buddy with a dog if that happens again.
