Sadly just went to to do a check but quoted price went from £12.99 at full price to £15.56 at checkout with no reason given or anything to draw your attention to it. Presume VAT but no mention that price was plus VAT either on front page or checkout. I think that's illegal but certainly immoral so won't be using them on principle I'm afraid. Sorry.

BLS, BSV and BXE worst 1.9 tdi engine codes known fault vw cut costs and put big end shells with no channels in them to lubricate the conrod or crankshaft so seizes causing it to throw a conrod/piston its all over the VW forums. The other 2 more reliable codes are BJB and BKC if memory serves me right. Excellent video as usual though guys

Nice one Rob. It shows how you can get caught out if you don't do your homework. Luckily you bought it right, so no harm done. It will probably end up as a NON Blue motion car as the replacement engine is much cheaper. Many thanks for showing us some of the pitfalls.
Cheers Lads really enjoyed the different video, looking forward to seeing the outcome. Hope it works out and bids up with 2 people that already have the engine for it.
Interesting video Rob and Chris I would like to see similar posts. Something I would like to warn people about is the growing number of forged v5 around London, people have changed chassis numbers and have dodgy v5s I have seen stolen evoques like this
The BLS engine is renowned for throwing conrods Rob .. the ASZ 1.9TDi engine is a common replacement as they're a lot better engine and don't suffer from conrod issues like the BLS engine.

Defo worth breaking. Those Mk5 Golfs are getting hard to get bits for, the gearbox is a common fault. Quite often get swapped for the petrol box by dodgy garages when they explode (as my buddy found out). The diesel boxes go for more than you paid for the whole car.
