I'm a cat rescuer and all my babies are special needs. When I lose one, it crushes me. I make a shrine on the buffet and keep it up for a year during which time, I collect and organize photos, write an obituary, and do my best to lean into the pain. I think it honors the little angels. For Phabeni, I'm watching videos --- laughing and crying at various moments. For me, there's only one way and that's through the pain. My prayers for you 💚

I feel the little baby had a tough start to life , and hard things just kept coming his way. He kept fighting and fighting and then fought some more. I hope we can all learn something from that little guy. I too kept crying, and then the thought come into my mind. He is no longer suffering. He is in heaven, and he is now an angel. A spirit like his will live on. I will be a fighter In tough times and will be more appreciative of my life because of that little guy. Everything happens for a reason. He is In peace and he's story will inspire through out time
I believe he was happy. ❤ I'm sure. He simply could not tell Adine where it hurts but he had inflammatory process, infection, antibiotics and blood transfusion. Its not a perfect solution to diagnose baby elephants. I believe it was simply a medical issue and the vulnerable immune system of orphaned babies ❤ Adine the team and Vet do everything they can but it's a lot of trial and error in this unique world of raising a baby elephant 🐘. ❤
This is a very beautiful video of the herd and water reflection but I'm having trouble viewing through my tears😢. Does anyone else sense the herd is feeling a profound sadness and is very somber and quiet plodding along no interaction just quiet reflection of each individual because something is amiss. I feel the little baby had a tough start to life , and hard things just kept coming his way. He kept fighting and fighting and then fought some more. I hope we can all learn something from that little guy. I too kept crying, and then the thought come into my mind. He is no longer suffering. He is in heaven, and he is now an angel. A spirit like his will live on. I will be a fighter In tough times and will be more appreciative of my life because of that little guy. Everything happens for a reason. He is In peace and he's story will inspire through out time
I believe he was happy. ❤ I'm sure. He simply could not tell Adine where it hurts but he had inflammatory process, infection, antibiotics and blood transfusion. Its not a perfect solution to diagnose baby elephants. I believe it was simply a medical issue and the vulnerable immune system of orphaned babies ❤ Adine the team and Vet do everything they can but it's a lot of trial and error in this unique world of raising a baby elephant 🐘. ❤

This is a very beautiful video of the herd and water reflection but I'm having trouble viewing through my tears😢. Does anyone else sense the herd is feeling a profound sadness and is very somber and quiet plodding along no interaction just quiet reflection of each individual because something is amiss. This is a stark reminder to love each moment of our lives and that life is fragile. RIP sweet Phabeni we'll remember you every day you are in our hearts forever ♥️. LOVE and XXXX

Oh my gosh! On occasion I thought the same thing and then pushed it out of my mind and replaced it with a Sebakwe waiting to happen! 😊. I didn't want him turning into a michievous Mambo whose cuts the dear carers have to tend to each time he comes home. What a rascal! Bless you for reminding me of that amusing memory! Remember when Mambo and Khanyisa were together and he climbed up on a rocky hill and left baby Khanyisa by herself, And she started to scream, and the whole herd came running to protect her? But That rascally Mambo kept on walking. He didn't even look back! However, having said all of that with a smile as I was writing it, I also remember, that he was Phabeni's blood brother.
