You may know the reaper leviathan for being one of the most horrifying sea creatures. But did you know that the Kraken from Sea of Thieves has a very similar size? Both have caused players with thalassophobia to quit the game, but one may actually be larger than the other by a bit.
Don't take this seriously. There is so many factors that can cause it to be inaccurate
Yes, like the length of a galleon. Baby krakens (the ones you are showing) can wrap around them several times over. A galleon was about 45-50 meters in length.
I’m Gonna take it as factual information, show my friends and also get them to share it around as factual information.
Always knew subnautica monsters would destroy anything SOT has to offer, and I do mean literally any of the mid tier leviathans would destroy all SoT and nobody can really
Tell me I’m wrong
Because my favorite VANILLA Monster is the Gargantuan, which is on my Xbox and therefore MUST be Vanilla cause that platform doesn’t have mods 🥸🤓
Don’t forget that the mother is like ten times the size, or more
@@mycharredrosethat one is dead bro
@@Davasher-xf7kn bigger they had to Chain that mf to the sea floor and wait for her to starve
Well the kraken we see is a child of the mother kraken who was massive
Well then we can just take the gargantua leviathan
Then youd just need the juvenile
Wasn't the old mother kraken over 1000 metres long?
All krakens in sea of thieves are still children but the mother
@@blank8447momma kraken was WAY bigger., the gargantuan Reaper was killed, they needed to chain the mother kraken down under the sea just to keep it from killing anything and everything in its path.
The thing is, subnautica has a way of making things look way smaller than they actually are
yea the reaper might look 12 meters but its actually 55 meters as it says
Yeah because I thought the kraken would way bigger than it
Bro cannot defent a reaper, when the mother kraken' ribcage had enough space to fit a galleon.
Yeah, it's pretty weird. From what I heard it was unintentional (don't know much about the specifics), and it's why the team had to crank-up the size of creatures, so that they would actually look/feel as big as intended.
Yeah if you look at a bone shark or ampeel, they are waaaay bigger than you think

@@jaba-_-the leviathan is a adult? Like bro that’s like comparing a - year old to the rock and when people say it’s unfair you say no it’s not
@@Aki-kari it's comparison between kraken that was shown to us and reaper who both are gigantic, it's not some sort of competition.
@@Aki-kari dude the reason why this comparison is not between juvenile ghost and kraken because juvenile ghost is bigger than reaper.
But still huge considering it’s just a baby.
This debate, however, is who's bigger: a baby Kraken vs an adult Reaper Leviathan. The Old Mother (mother of all the baby Krakens we see in Sea of Thieves) was said in one of the Tall Tales to be so massive it would wrap itself around whole Outposts. The Old Mother is dead now, but you can see it's skull in the same Tall Tale and it's big enough a Reaper Leviathan could probably fit inside it's mouth.
which tall tale?
The old mothers remains don't exist ingame
Yeah, but if we count dead creatures we also might as well do the gargantuan leviathan against the old mother. And that's not fair at all
Yes the adult gargantuan Leviathan could prob swollow her whole
You can sail a galleon between the ribs of the old mother.
For those saying about the old mother if we are counting dead creatures
Gargantuan leviathan (5+ km long)
Gargantuan leviathan is not the same species as the reaper leviathan
A 55 meters meters reaper leviathan is an adult
Old mother kraken is the same species as the baby one
It's not sot vs subnautica dumbass its reaper leviathan vs kraken
And don't gargantuan leviathans like canonically never stop growing until they die? If I'm remembering correctly that is

Guys stop saying the mother of the kraken is bigger. The video is not about its mother. Because if we count creatures that is not in the video, then subnautica has gargantuan leviathan which is definetly bigger than the mother of the kraken.
Who is bigger an adult Kraken or the Gargantuan Levitation?
The adult kraken

A galleon is arround 45 meters long. One tentacle is nearly 2 galleons longm and the body is maybe 10 meters long. So i think a kraken as about 100 meters long
Still smaller than Subnautica Kraken the Sea Dragon Levithan, its 150 to 180 meters, Give a spine chilling roar, it rumbles all the nearby rocks, Can grab, directly swallow, breathe fire, fire balls and even arm grabs.
Still there is one more larger Kraken the sweetest and most loving one the Sea Empress 200 - 280 meters in length, She is the sweetest one and can talk by telepathy.

The Reaper is a pretty small leviathan compared to the rest of Subnautica’s levis, if we are talking about largest then an adult Gargantuan Leviathan can grow to 5+Km. It can grow indefinitely as long as there’s enough food for it to feed on.

Such a shame it wasn’t even involved in the video huh? Two completely different species huh?
@@starphantom7866well let’s use that logic. The place where the aurora crashed in game is one of the very few shallow habitat reefs on the planet, considering how close the aurora is to the ecological dead zone is insane. Using that logic, some of these reapers could’ve been attracted to the aurora from the void meaning in the void there could be reapers the size of sector-0. Get outplayed SOT fanboy

gargantuan leviathan puts the old mother to shame
The kraken you measured is just a child
How tall is the main character in Subnautica because when I encounter the reaper leviathan he seems so small 😂
When calculating the size of animals, weight is the way to go. That is why Elephants, Rhinos and Hippos are larger than giraffes.
They weigh more. So the Kraken is likely larger. Longer... yeah that goes to the Reaper lol
that was a baby kraken, and take into account how fucking tall ships are and how the kraken fully encircles a galleon not to mention its tentacles reach way above the tip of the main mast
What's also worth adding that reaper leviathan is the smallest aggresive leviathan in the base game
Gargantuan leviathan in the corner: what!!!
I swear there is a conspiracy that one of the islands is the skeleton of the mother kraken
yh, krakens fall looks like an upside down kraken skull
It's not a conspiracy it's in the lore. the ancient and the merfolk made unbreakable chains and chained up the mother kraken on krakens fall for it to die of starvation.

Gargantuan leviathans grow infinitely until they die of starvation😂 it’s estimated to get to above 5000 meters or +5km before that happens, and I’ve only found the mother kraken to be over 1000 meters which is only +1km. Subnautica is just unrivaled when it comes to the biggest ocean game creatures. Plus there’s an endless void so we still could not know what else is out there.
No they don't grow until they die and the biggest one we know of is 1300m
Gargantuan leviathan is rolling in his grave

Juvenile kraken, though the empress leviathan and sea dragon are bigger than that
If SoT is allowed to bring in old mother. Subnautica should be allowed to bring in the garg
the old mother would be a breakfast for the garg
Idk if you should be comparing the Reaper or the Sea Emperor to the Kraken, judging by how that is just a baby.
According to google the mast of a galleon is 120m tall and the krakens tentacles are like 2times a mast if i remember right so kraken bigger but i aient sure

That is a baby to be fair... I'm a subnautica Stan but the mother kraken is so big it's not rendered and there's nothing(real)(looking at you gargantuan) in the subnautica universe that's close to the size of the ink spot the kraken puts in the water
Gargatuan ITS a real specimen / leviathan the closest alive garg its modded (and its canon all the garg's info)
@Shady_noire I mean the skull is a real specimen I'll give you that outside of that and the very limited and even in universe hypothetical entry data we know nothing for sure about the species and any attempts on modders behalf to render it as a living creature are just that. Attempts at an artistic rendering of what an extinct creature (could) look like and as such none of which are (valid) examples of a real creature as far as the subnautica universe is concerned scientifically
@Shady_noire although with the naysaying out of the way, even counting modded content all gargantuans except those with their growth set to truly unlimited(the most popular variant of the mod)(which for the purposes of our discussion I will be considering completely non cannon) given the real skull of the creature as canon ill use it for a litmus test of base size applying the game mechanics for size varryance my most generous calculation for garg length doesn't bridge the gap between the kraken's two furthest arms during a galleon encounter not to mention the krakens nature of residing below renderable game depth in the first place creating an illusion: representing what right now is the most massive sea monster in gaming history
@@ZackDimagioThe skull its from a early juveline btw... if you look to the garg information (Vanilla) it says "garg actually doesnt have cap size" and the founded skull was a EARLY juveline (sorry if i dont write a lot, im too bad in english 😭)
