Edgy Bowie is underrated. As always, he managed to get ahead of the curve and do early 2000s rock before it was cool
I remember this when it happened. Too bad they didn’t include the part where Howard thanked him and told him the story of how when he was just starting to DJ, was dirt poor, yet he and his wife HAD to put the money together to buy that Bowie album. David was genuinely touched. My favorite HS moment.
Bowie was 51 years old here, damn he looks more like 41.
He was gorgeous!
He's timeless .. how cool, sharp can one old guy get!
Both Howard and David are Capricorns
Who cares how old he was, he NAILED IT and that's all that matters!
FUCK, what a great reworking of this. I'm really digging it! Damn he is missed.
The word icon gets tossed around a lot these days but few are legit.. David Bowie is an Icon amongst Icons indisputable
Im in love with this live version
He looks like he’s about to tell Neo to come with him
Showing his true genius, changing the tune, and still an awesome performance!
David Bowie, one of the best of our time!
I can smell the 90s oozing off my screen. Love it!
Brennan Man right??? I had flashbacks to kid rocks woodstock 99 performance
That effect on the vocals is tripping me out , I love it
Being high while blasting this on a speaker system is one of life's greatest pleasures.
David Bowie will be remembered in 200 years like one of the most important figures of our time. Mark my words.
David Bowie + the wack pack dancing in front of the stage = priceless 🤘
"Pole dahhnncin'!"
what ever happened to fred "the elephant boy"?
This is like a super dark version!!!!! Fucking amazing!!!
David Bowie and John Lennon created a funk masterpiece. Great performance for Howard's birthday
You know you’ve made it big when David Bowie sings for you! An Interview with Howard would have been amazing because Howard’s never afraid to ask the tough questions or avoid controversial topics.
Quite the Contrary, that’s his Bread and Butter!
RIP Bowie
I really love this industrial era of Bowie
I agree, this version sounded badass.
I dont
It was all good except some of the 80's stuff
I didn't care for it at the time, but it aged very well. Now I love this period.
The interview that got away. Wish Howard had the opportunity to sit down with the Goblin King. :(
That would have been one of the greatest howard stern interviews probably
I think he did not want to asked about Jagger. Also, maybe gun shy about that crazy interview with his ex.
This is the first i have seen this footage!!
Wtf just happened??
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That was un-freakin-real......
Woah!!!
RIP Bowie!!.

Legandary! Damn his band was killer here!
Eterno Bowie! Performance incrível 👏🏽👍🇧🇷
Sounds like this version would faint into a Tim Burton movie. Love it!
I always thought this song had a weird funky hip-hop vibe to it. Especially live. Love it.
Zach Sorensen it’s called blue eye soul.

I really love this industrial era of Bowie
Wow just 20 years ago he seemed in pretty good shape. Sad to have lost such a great legend.
Well yeah, but a LOT happens to the human body in 20 years.
just 20 fukin years bro XD
@@keefriff99 but even in 2014 he seemed incredible. Was the cancer after that
He always appeared to be in better shape than than he was. He had heart surgery a few years after this and remained a smoker. Likely had Hep C just like Lou Reed from sharing needles. That lead to the liver cancer that killed him.
@@jessica5497 he was diagnosed in mid-2014, and was terminal in October, 2015.
No one cooler than Bowie!
never saw this before but glad I finally did
Holy shit, 90s Bowie kicked ass
For anyone digging this version of "Fame," as I, search "Dr. Dre - Fame"
What a man 💙
happy 73 David Bowie!!!
Thank you 'no show Jones' you r wonderfully brilliant (; lots ❤ of love!!! SMILE, mm
I think he was the cause of glam rock, and to why male pop stars looked like women in the late 70 and into the 80s.
Klaus Nomi, thank me later.major influence on Bowie
Actually, Marc Bolan of the T.Rex that started glam rock trend of the 70s.
But of course, Bowie's the one whose popularized it
Damn why is he gone
No doubt.
PANDAPIGEONPOWPOW 38 Gone? Gone where?
thats the most bowie bass player ive ever seen
Gail Anne Dorsey?
That would be Gail Ann Dorsey from Philadelphia. She was his bassist/guitarist/co-singer for close to two decades. Phenomenal!
She's a legend. That's no ordinary bass player.
LEGEND
This channel has been fire lately!
You are the man H. S.
Sheer brilliance!
Truly amazing 😊😊😊😊
Geez....I wish I had been there 😩🔥❤️
I def would’ve gone to Howard sterns bar mitzvah if I knew bowie was gonna be there😁👍
He's giving me George Michael vibes here. Love the way Bowie would reinvent his songs by changing the tempo or his vocal phrasing.
This version is so cool
dudes a fucking rockstar holy shit
amazing version.
I love this version, so creepy.
Bowie looking very sharp and edgy in this video.
Wow just 20 years ago he seemed in pretty good shape. Sad to have lost such a great legend.
The technical and artistic performances of this fucking clip are amazing!
You can't put a song you wrote with John Lennon into something dark !
Bowie : Old my sunglasses
That funky bass
The coolest
wow!!!
It’s so weird how David Bowie is much older than all the 80s hair metal bands and looked much in tact and put together. The other dudes look all burnt out, grimey, and old lol
Best version
The Lady at the Bass was true to Bowey thill the end
damn, i want a line just watching this
😂😂😂
Se ve macizo el Bowie la neta mis respetos descansa en paz... sooo badass
This is the funkiest Doo doo funk of this song ever! It’s toooo funkie! Pee on a stick funk! Dang!
This version sounds real dark. Product of the 90’s?
So stylish
Turn the Bass way up sounds even better Great version wish Lennon was
still around maybe he would have shown up at the BD celebration.
Wow we really are doomed for the future. this is absolutely fucking amazing the world peaked 1997-2007
All hail the Thin White Duke!!
The man was cool as the center seed of a cucumber.
The end of 90s is epic
Gawd damn!!!!!!!!
2:59 "HA! POLE DANCING!"
THIS IS FUCKING GOLD DAMN
Everything has it's prime.
Fame 90 is an amazing song . Didnt john lennon help right this. Bowie is an icon he looks so cool in this performance
Natalie Panaro Stack yes, Lennon and Carlos Alomar
Just to be clear, Natalie, this is not Fame 90. This is a live version from '97 based on Dr, Dre's cover. But, yes, the original was co-written by Lennon. And Carlos Alomar as stated below.
Please if you have time please watch this boys cover you wont be dissapointed
David Bowie ~ Moonage Daydream cover by Davis Gestiehr (Davison)
Thanks, now upload, "I'm afraid of Americans!"
Wow! Mind blowing! The way he sang *first* though
LOVE this! I think his heavy British accent made it sound almost like he was saying FOIST...LOL LOL. LOVE David and miss him so much!!!
@@headbangingmama8907 No, that's him doing DeNiro. Or Walken. Take your pick.
Needs to be archived properly.
