When the lift string is inserted in the bottom rail, I do not see the metal looking rod that is shown later in the video going between the lift strings.
Mine does not have a rod like that.
I don’t which, but one set of strings just had a tied in each.

Are you saying "Latter" or "Ladder" strings.... As am unsure which are which in either case.

Hi there! The video is talking about the string ladder. This diagram shows which strings are the ladder and which are the lifting cords: fixmyblinds.com/pages/wood-faux-wood-venetian-blind-diagram. Please let me know if you have additional questions!

It’s not easy to take the white plastic pushers without ruining them.

Pretty poor video. First of all, you said you only needed 3 tools yet in the video the guy is shown using needle nose plyers to thread some cords back through the holes in the bottom slat and then he seems to thread a cord through a tiny hole that is not mentioned in the voice over?

Also, you could of sped up the part where he is removing slats as gis was painfully slow and then you mentioned something about ‘end caps” that I assume came with the blinds- not to mention the valance at the end that comes from no where and is given little ot no instruction on how to unstall. Granted, the valance is probably the easiest part of the whole installation. Grade = D+
