I hope this message finds you well. My name is Tasmia Biswas Prity and I'm from Bangladesh,I have been an avid follower of your page, where I have found valuable information and inspiration on creating reusable handmade sanitary pads.
I am particularly interested in exploring the benefits, potential disadvantages, and scientific approval associated with the use of such eco-friendly menstrual products. Your expertise and the wealth of knowledge shared on your page have been immensely helpful in guiding me through the initial stages of crafting these pads.
In my pursuit of understanding the broader impact of reusable pads, I would greatly appreciate any insights you could provide regarding the advantages and potential drawbacks, as well as any scientific endorsements or studies that support their use.Thank you for the incredible work you do in promoting sustainable menstrual hygiene. I look forward to any guidance or resources you can share on this topic.

Thank you for your kind words, Tasmia Biswas Prity! It's truly heartening to hear about your dedication to sustainable menstrual hygiene practices and the impact of eco-friendly products. I'm glad to know that the information shared on my page has been beneficial to you in your endeavors.
I've been using the cloth pads for quite a while now. Back then, I couldn't find them available like now. I asked my mom, who exclusively used cloth pads when she was young because disposable products weren't available back then. : )
I had discomfort with disposable pads so I started making my own.
For me personally, the greatest benefit has been the comfort they provide. Of course, I used cotton only! Reusable pads offer environmental benefits by reducing waste, however, they might still have an environmental footprint. To make true benefit of Eco-friendly, please use cotton. Cotton, being a natural fiber, provides exceptional comfort, and its 'zero waste' aspect through composting is a significant advantage.
Also, it can be cost-effective in the long run. If you make your own pads with your old cloth or cotton towel, it will be a 'Win-Win' Additionally, proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial to ensure hygiene and prevent infections.
I started my journey by asking my mom, how she used and cleaned the cloth pads and diapers for my son when he had rashes so I got the support from my mom, not from scientific background. LOL!! So, for scientific support... I suggest exploring reputable research articles for a deeper understanding, : )
If you need any specific guidance or additional resources, please feel free to reach out. Together, we can continue to promote eco-friendly practices and create a positive impact on menstrual health and the environment.
Have a Happy & Healthy Holiday Season!
