    I wanted a body size waterproof bed pad for my elderly parent but didn’t want to spend the money so I made my own and you can too! It’s made of fleece, which comes in all sorts of fun designs. Easy, reusable and machine washable. #joann #incontinence #bedwetting #enuresis #caregiver

    You can use vinyl shower curtain liner as welk

    • @LinzseyslilPad

      You sure can. I prefer the pul fabric though because you'll have to wash often. I did use a thick shower curtain liner to cover the mattress though!

    Thank you so much!! I have 3 dogs that sleep with me, one is a 10 month old puppy and the other two are 7yo adults, one of my 7yo dogs just recently became incontinent though. She has doggie diapers but sometimes she leaks through them in bed at night. I could technically crate her for the night but I just would feel so bad, I want her to be able to enjoy sleeping in a comfy bed with me and my other two dogs. This looks like it’ll be perfect so she can stay comfy but I won’t have to keep washing my sheets nonstop and waking up to a soaking end of the bed!

    Thank you, this helps a lot. I thought about doing something similar like this for one of my old cats. Either a blanket for the bed or floor or a flat bed for her to lay on just in case she has an accident. This gave me ideas

      Me too with one of my dogs ❤ I’m gonna do this for sure. I’m so tired of waking up to pee on the bed but I’m stubborn and won’t kick her out of bed for something she can’t control😂 plus I want her to stay comfy and I love to sleep with all 3 of my dogs

    I like this. Would this be a good pad to make for a young girl starting her menstrual cycle?

  • @vikkiknull2811
    @vikkiknull2811 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    So the fleece is on both sides? Also what size pad does your instructions make?

    • @LinzseyslilPad
      @LinzseyslilPad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi. Yes, the fleece is on both sides. You can make the pad any size. Fleece is usually 60 inches wide in fabric stores. I made them different sizes to use in my car, her recliner and the largest size for her bed

    Could you use a serger for this waterproof pad? If so do you have any hints on how to do it?

    • @LinzseyslilPad
      @LinzseyslilPad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi. I don't have experience using a serger but I wish I did!

    Fleece by itself is not absorbent enough

    • @LinzseyslilPad
      @LinzseyslilPad  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly! You don’t want your loved one to be soaking wet. It absorbs exactly enough that’s it’s water resistant, the item is not ruined and the person is not uncomfortable

    • @LinzseyslilPad
      @LinzseyslilPad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also it’s not just fleece. You have the WATERPROOF pul vinyl core

    Pul fabric is $116 for 1 yard on amazon Canada

    Is the waterproof part on the inside or outside? If that makes sense.

    • @LinzseyslilPad
      @LinzseyslilPad  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s in between two layers of fleece

  • @Allison-lg4hx

    It would be better without music and actual voice instruction

    • @LinzseyslilPad
      @LinzseyslilPad  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t do voice instructions because I don’t like seeing them either. There is an audience out there for non commentary videos and I’m here for it. My videos are for those who catch on visually. Thanks for watching!

      @LinzseyslilPad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Can these be used by dog owners?

    • @amandavalenzuela6982
      @amandavalenzuela6982 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes they can be. This is great for dogs. I would suggest two layers of anti pill fleece instead of one for better absorbency.

    • @LinzseyslilPad
      @LinzseyslilPad  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely!

    • @LinzseyslilPad
      @LinzseyslilPad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly. My method calls for two layers. The Pul fabric is between them

      I do have one but am so used to scissors. I’ll have to try that next time. Thanks for the suggestion!
