In the KOF manga, it was shown that Yuri is a genius who can copy people's moves just by looking at it. However because she never bothers to take time to perfect them, most of the moves are just cheap copies who can't match up to the original.
Honestly, I'd just take slightly updated versions of 1 and 2 with online play. CvSNK2 is the only fighting game I really got good at from constantly playing it online from 2003-2006.

People bitched about on disc DLC when it was 12 characters for $20, in a cast that already had like 36, but would gladly turn around and give Arcsys $35 for 6 characters, one of which was a character you could already unlock for free from beating the story, in a cast of like 10-12. The gems weren’t even a big deal, I made a Gem load out for every character day 1 and never changed it since. The game was fine, people act like it was game breaking. Even today with channels that upload SFxT you see comments where people are praising the game, saying they miss it, and others saying they wish they gave it a chance. As for MvCI: the roster decision wasn’t Capcom’s decision. It was Disney’s. It should be obvious enough that it was Disney’s choice to exclude X-Men because they’ve been churning out these boring ass avengers and shoving these boring ass Avengers down our throats for years, while X-Men has been nowhere to be found. On Capcom’s side, who did they bring back? Jedah, Megaman X, and Sigma. 2 of which were THE most requested characters to be added. The game was ugly, but it wasn’t unplayable like people love to act like. The gameplay itself was seamless and the online was on point too. Everyone that I’ve seen that had actually PLAYED the game always praises how great the gameplay is and how amazing the online is. This “Hurr Durr Capcom bad, Capcom can’t do anything right” train has to stop. It’s so corny.

With all honesty, if NESTS wasn't too busy faffing to Kyo, and created a Yuri clone that wasn't slacker they could have created a more deadly soldier, but they were too focused on Kyo's supernatural fire that can destroy Orochi.

Well yea, Yuri would kick Sakura's butt man. She does have at least SOME formal training from Takuma and is able to copy other fighters moves just by seeing them. Sakura has no real training at all, she just copies what she see's Ryu do to the best of her abilities.

I knew Dan was a parody to Art of Fighting characters, but I didnt realize he copied so many of Yuri's poses, and that she had so many movements similar to Ryu/Ken and Sakura, specially with that running with the "dragon punch" variants. The "charged hadokens" came up first in AoF, tough.

IMHO i never liked the marvel vs capcom series because of the mechanics and playstyle but the times I've played snk vs capcom 2 were golden

In KOF 2003, Robert's flash kick is a regular move. You do the normal anti-air move with a kick button.
