Var still helps more than others. Your point only stands if its fair. For example some teams have had 4 pgmol apologies for decisions that bad and some have had 0
Di Canio had a reputation for being a diver and back then if you had a reputation for it it seemed way harder to actually get a penalty awarded. You can see how tenacious he is and how well he manages to stay on his feet outside the box, but the moment he gets in there he's going down at the slightest bit of contact. That being said the first incident was a stonewall penalty and I'd have probably given the 3rd one too and you cannot take anything away from his ability - he was a fantastic footballer
@@Itonwise come on son. Certain players like him always tried to win penalties in the box. Just back then referees were more selective about awarding them or not. The refereeing here was just ridiculously shambolic, but it wasnt uncommon for them to not give to certain players who would look for contact and hit the deck
The pen they gave to Rooney to end the unbeaten run 🤮 refs had a clear agendas then, they still have them now it’s just more subtle and backed up by VAR
This is why I have no time for refs all think they are super important and most think they are famous for what being useless, if you are useless in any other job you get binned, I feel di canio was hard done to here and I back him
The referee hate him soo much . The best Italian dribbler
The commentator is also fucking golden on this lmfaoooooo "Di Canio, to put it mildly, is incandescent."
The ref was dreadful
If people ask you why VAR is important just show them this video.
nope, VAR destroys football. No emotions.
Paolo is a great football personality
@UC1le4-Cz5iGEeJO8s1Ad8Fw maybe that's the reason why he never called by Italy, a fucking prick like him bring more problem than good.

Same here but where the part where he said Di Canio sitting abt 5 mins in the middle of the pitch?
he just mentioned it again last night so bought me here - it definitely wasn't 5mins
01:41 that backheel pass is so amazing :)
Can assure you now, VAR wouldn’t have made any difference to the outcome
Ahh, the Prem corruption years. Fergie’s era
Referee denied clear penalties. Smh
Stone wall penalty
This man needed VAR
Day light robbery
