His technique was so good. It’s not just his aim, but the way he controls the ball, and the ease at which he switches feet… the goalkeeper was always kept guessing right till the end. Such a technically gifted player.
Crazy if you think about it. Di Canio wasn't a regular player for Italy back then, because they had Roberto Baggio, Alessandro Del Piero, Gianfranco Zola, Giuseppe Signori, and Roberto Mancini for this same position.
Best player I’ve seen at Celtic in my lifetime, doesn’t have the legend status of Larsson obviously but what a player, remember watching him warm up when I was a kid, some of the things he would do were just out of this world
This dude had some insane practice pitch goals Italy was stacked at the time but playing outside of the Serie A and having consistent rows with managers specifically Trappatoni had have been the number 1 reason he was never called up for the Italian national squad
He was quality in those times I remember when we play against man united (I think the fa cup) and he was up against Barthez (who didnt play to the whistle ) and scored against us. He always gave me Cantona vibes in his play and mannerism.
It wasn’t so much the competition but his attitude and reputation. He’d pissed off so many of the top guys in Italy like Capello for example, he left Italy because he’d burned so many bridges that’s why he came to Celtic
Paolo di canio was a player defenders had trouble stopping his ability to swerve left right volley and shoot on sight visionary heart use both feet get out of tight situations.all this and more made him light up the Premier league especially for west ham brilliant player and top fella.
Reminds me of Platini at his best but more physical and possibly more prolific. Who else can volley like that with both feet? Very very few players from all time.
Him and Waddle best players to ever wear a Wednesday shirt. Same mercurial talent as a Maradona, Gascoigne, prime Messi/ Ronaldhino. Two feet, swerve, control, pace, balance, strength, absolute technique on the volley. Also the same coolness as Beardsley in terms of dummying the keeper/ defenders then rolling the ball into an empty net.
Vedi Balotelli,. è durato pochissimo
My girlfriend went into the celtic shop n asked for a paulo dicanio dvd ,the guy said celtic fans hate paulo dicanio and your boyfriend isnt a real fan,i said when she came back you never asked for that did you, paulo my best player ever for celtic
Difese e portieri inglesi a quei tempi lasciavano a desiderare.
How the hell didn’t this player not played for united or Liverpool or even Italy i don’t know maybe he’s character was to much to handle for the coaches
L' istinto del gol piu elevato in assoluto. Giocatore completissimo e tenace come pochissimi.

Greatest player I ever see at Upton Park⚒️⚒️❤
Legend. There's no other word.
Pure Genius.....
This dude had some insane practice pitch goals
Italy was stacked at the time but playing outside of the Serie A and having consistent rows with managers specifically Trappatoni had have been the number 1 reason he was never called up for the Italian national squad
Might possibly be better than Baggio
He was quality in those times I remember when we play against man united (I think the fa cup) and he was up against Barthez (who didnt play to the whistle ) and scored against us. He always gave me Cantona vibes in his play and mannerism.
Io l'ho conosciuto a Lignano(Ud) nel 1992. Mi ha offerto una piccola birra. PAOLODICANIO tutto attaccato!!!
Amazing player and a nice fella as well he was and still is regarded as a LEGEND at WEST HAM
Absolute legend. He’s the hardest working player I’ve ever seen.
Legend, Genius.....
⚒ Legend….!
Grande Grandissimo idolo assoluto
What an absolute legend
Incredible player. A travesty he didn't play for the Azzuri senior side.
Even as a neutral to every team he played for he's the type of player that make you fall in love with this game.
Unbelievable talent and very much underrated players, these kind of gols are only scored by messi or Maradona
3:43 Reminds me of Dennis Bergkamp's goal.
Watched him at Celtic one of the most talented players to pull on the hoops but mad as a hatter
Or Zola
Legendary!
Paolo , li ha fatti sognare
Meraviglia😱😁
Di Canio pushed ref Paul Alcock over when he was a Sheffield Wednesday player. He was fined £10,000 and banned for 11 fixtures!. From Joe. X
I'm trying to get my head around how he didn't get to play for Italy, what a special player 👍
He was in the same generation as players like Roberto Baggio Gianfranco Zola, Beppe Signori, Mancini, Vialli etc. The competition was immense.
It wasn’t so much the competition but his attitude and reputation. He’d pissed off so many of the top guys in Italy like Capello for example, he left Italy because he’d burned so many bridges that’s why he came to Celtic

Not more prolific. Playing used to score goals on the big game for fun. Not to mention A1 free kicks.
This guy is a mix between Cristiano messi zidan and paul schols.
You forgot to add the Eric Cantona in him 😂
And george best
Great man! One of the best italian player too much underrated ......😢
With Zola amazing player

Paolo sei un grande . Ti vorrei nella società lazio
Oggi è venuto alla squadra lazio😂mio figlio è contentooooo
Third String Juventus strickee
Il Maradona italiano
Ave Paolino
How the hell didn’t this player not played for united or Liverpool or even Italy i don’t know maybe he’s character was to much to handle for the coaches

the very first goal is unreal
Vs Milan with NAPOLI
GRAZIE PAOLINO ❤
