He also had a follow up hit to Escape called "Him." It was a Billboard hit in 1980. It went to number 6. Also, Escape was No 1 the last week of '79 and still the first week of '80, making it the first No. 1 song of the 80's.
BIG FAN OF RUPERT - so THANKS. Listen to "Brass Knuckles" - a song that tells a film noir story of crooked cops and a lady who "takes off ermine cloaks." FABULOUS.
I had no idea how accomplished he is... and for days now.. i can't stop singing "HIM".. I'm totally intrigued and taken with him!! Not HIM.. but "him.. " .. and HIM, too! lol
I'm from the hometown of the Buoys-they deserve a video all their own. At 4:15 now THAT'S comedy Gold!-imagine what Chris Elliot could've done goofing on this nerd if only he achieved more hits.
That's a creative genius bio-well done

I really liked Partners in Crime, the song from the Partners in Crime album
My favorite Rupert Holmes song is "Speechless", with "Him" as a close second!
He is a genius to the level of Quincy Jones. The way he blends chord progressions that are not typically used by average composers. He is monumental.
No mention of his composition "Terminal".
Major major talent. Love his work.

He produced, the group from Syracuse NY, "Ol' Paint". Some good songs but not good arrangements or production.
Was Rupert Holmes related to John Holmes?
He'd have to pull down his pants.
shortly
Who narrates this stuff? It sounds sloppy.
it's like a slow turning wagon wheel.
Sounds like an AI voice
