You'll probably never read this, but I wanted you to know that you have always been my favorite car reviewer Steve! You're reviews are a digestible length, and you do something that the others don't: talk about how the car makes you FEEL and how others react to seeing the cars. Everyone else just reads off of a stat sheet. Like in your i8 roadster review how you said there are faster cars but that's not why we truly love cars. You're the best brother, keep it up!
If I had won the $2bn Powerball, this is the single ICE I would have picked to buy. As none of my numbers came up, I’m grateful for your giving me a taste of this nearly perfect example of a fading breed. Thanks very much.
@@xFlared My friend, dealer markup on one of these is $15-25k if you’re lucky enough to find one. Also, I have two high schoolers in the pipeline. That means no orange Cadillacs unless both of them suddenly grow two feet and start hitting fadeaway jumpers on the regular. Will just have to live vicariously through Steve’s reviews for now.
A dine sports sedan, but Cadillac did the CT4 Blackwing dirty. they launched it at virtually the same time as it's bigger, better brother, and it never found a market. That's a good thing, as dealer markups should be in check, at least in comparison to "The last gas powered Cadillac ever!" If you are a driver, and don't have the budget for $100k, this is a sweet choice.
Hold up - that’s Indian Ledge!!! I grew up at the end of that road and have driven it thousands of times. Such a great spot. I’d love to drive my Blackwing there but I live in TX now. Very cool!!
M3's ground clearance is way lower and it's ride quality is way harsher. In addition it's manual is rubbery and devoid of feel and it has less involved connection especially from steering. I guess the only negative of blackwing is the brake by wire. To me it's a very stupid and over complicated feature that will only result in issues down the road.
I sold my 22' CT4 BW for an M3 Competition xDrive, I loved the BW and highly recommend it, but the M3 fits my lifestyle better,. The M3 has a usable back seat for the family, xDrive for the winter in NJ, and much better technology. I did prefer the steering in the BW and how the car felt small when driving. The M3 feels bigger but feels WAY faster. Both cars have comparable brakes, and the M3's ride doesn't bother me at all on comfort mode. I also owned a ATS-V, both Caddies did have slightly better ride quality, regardless of mode, Mag ride is amazing. Both chassis are top notch with great balance. Both my cars had the auto and I prefer the 2 less gears on the BMW. I had the full carbon exterior package on the BW and the ground clearance was a nightmare, much less stress in the M3 pulling into parking lots. Its hard to compare both cars, both were fully loaded for the most part and the BW was $79K and the M3 was $99k. The M3 just offers so much more but you PAY for it; self parks, self drives (great for long drives), side mirrors fold in, more interior room in the back and front seat, much better materials inside, all wheel drive, better rims. The M3 just feels a step up as an overall package, but it should at the price. Either car is amazing, really depends on your situation. If you're just looking for a amazing drivers' car and don't need a back seat or care about excess technology, go for the Cadillac and save $20k or more.
@@Yukon6255 you’re right in that the rear seat packing is HORRIFIC in the CT4…which to me, at 6’-6” is basically a deal breaker. I think otherwise though, the Blackwing would be a superior car both objectively (as a more engaging car) and especially financially (as it’s much less expensive).
@@xFlared I've got a Blackwing and I promise you there is no piped in noise unlike my Ford vehicles I have. These Blackwings sounds incredible inside and out.
I just saw this car on the street and it is dull looking, that is one reason that these cars don't sell a lot more, they are boring looking, I LIKE THEM, but they don't stand out, and performance cars should be good looking.

This is very affordable for mid class salary. Most new cars today start at 50k.

What an awesome sporty sedan, Steve!
Absolutely love that car! Great job GM!

I love the braking at the end of your videos. That's your signature right there.
Thanks, man!
Can't wait to get mine later this year!
Oh to have Extra $$$. The BlackWings are going to be highly collectibles especially in Manual.
I'm currently looking for one on the used market in black! I'm stoked..... Great review! 💪🔥💯🇺🇲
Thanks, Paul!

Yes it was! Good eye!
Steve - how long will Caddy be making the blackwing sedans?
Great review as always Steve. This or the RS3?
I’d take this, for sure. The RS3 is fun but this is just more of everything.
Did I miss the MPG Report? I know the CT5 is about 12-15mpg.
Amazing car, but the dealer mark ups have been high :/, they know when they have something good!
Steve - this CT4-V Blackwing or base M3 manual?
I’d probably take this Caddy. But either way you can’t lose.

@@xFlared the real advantage of the M3 over the CT4 to me is the packaging. The rear seat room in the BMW is in a different category altogether.

What are your favorite roads in NY? We don't have many nice ones down on Long Island, I'd love to come up for a spirited drive.
Albany is perfect because 10 minutes in any direction and you’re in the country or the mountains. Albany to Cooperstown is fantastic.
@@stevehammes I'm actually going for NY trooper candidate processing in Albany next week. Had no idea there were fun roads.
This or a Camaro SS?
that screen on the center console looks like it was just slapped over there...
You mean like with 99.99% of vehicles today?
This or BMW M4 ???
This is a v6 sounding like that?? How do y’all get it to sound like that and what muffler is on it
Sound generator through speakers in cabin like with 99.99% of modern performance cars. :(
