Being a rebound sucks, which is why will never get involved with a woman who's fresh out of a breakup. The thing to do after a breakup is to get yourself right, first and foremost, before you invite someone else in. After a breakup, the thing to do is to instead of trying to get your ex back, your first job is to get yourself back. Invest in yourself as a person. At the end of the day, and yes you can do things that will improve your chances of them coming back, but whether your ex decides to come back or not is a choice they have to make for themsleves, just like you have to ultimately make the choice wether or not you will take them back. The only thing you can do is keep pushing forward.

Emotionally detaching does not mean someone actually processed the end of a relationship or healed. Many times, someone emotionally detaches so they can avoid processing it and then rebounds to distract themselves. Someone still needs time between relationships to heal and reflect (especially if it was toxic), or it will still be a rebound.
Takes time to heal especially in a toxic or emotionally detached doesn’t matter you still need time alone to process things don’t use a toxic situation to soothe yourself with a rebound what you doing is toxic because you’ve learnt nothing

im confused about the 5th one because my ex and her current partner both got to know each other by opening up emotionally soon after meeting each other and faced similar trauma growing up, and i feel like that mightve been what caused them to move really fast into their relationship after being together for almost a month. they are posting each other all over social media and my friend told me about how they went on a first date to the aquarium we had planned to go to. is their bond through similar trauma a good or bad thing?
My ex is hanging out with a guy I work with he’s that type of guy who “there for them” the guy who is a shoulder to cry and and messes with her emotional state and makes her feel like she likes him. The worst part is that he has not told be about it or he’s avoiding it. Some people take advantage of the emotional vulnerable and it sucks

it's a Trauma bond -- it's not a good thing. Eventually one of few things will happen --one person may decide to work on themselves (ie. therapy) and they will start to see how the relationship is not ideal and the other person may either choose to stay stagnant because therapy you will have to hold your self accountable and face some things, 2. both people may continue the relationship because it's comfortable and they know how to navigate the chaos, 3. one of the people may see that the person they thought they were getting with isn't what they thought the other person was and leave whether in a healthy manner or a toxic manner

I assume she met this guy within the last month.. but I am not sure.. could of met like 2 months ago and texted.. but now she posts as cover photo on Instagram.. I do not look so I am not sure how fast it has happened.. she has a lot of trauma to deal with and plays the victim card.. she has little life experience and I feel like this is all about her gaining experience. Chasing the 80/20.. I think she moved to a new city too and started dating this guy..

If one was in a toxic relationship or had emotionally detached from the previous relationship its not always a rebound.
