James not really, in the mind of a rebound person they 1 do not think its a rebound and 2 they believe they are ready to move on because it is ALL OVER with you period, they have not process their feeling but for them they believe they have, it is not linked to you , it is linked to the believe the grass is so green over there and LOOK it is really greener but after the high have calm down the boat crash hard and they are going to be forced to face all their unresolved issue, it is not linked to the person they have left

Even if they have known them from childhood, jumping into a relationship with them years later and living together is a different thing altogether.
To discover that my first serious relationship of 1+ year was just me being used as a rebound... it hurts so much. Especially when he admitted that he hadn't moved on from his ex girlfriend and he dated me because he thought he had, and that he saw glimpses of her in me- meanwhile my feelings for him were real.
Something happened to the ex and he immediately questioned his love for me. The thought of losing her was way worse than the thought of losing me. And so, 2 days ago, he broke up with me.
All of these videos kept talking about how the rebound relationship don't matter, while it's true, it's crushing me so badly to know that I was never loved. I'm currently in the process of healing, I don't want to jump immediately into dating because I don't want anyone else to know the pain.
I'm willing to heal but to think I was used as a rebound kept beating me up inside

I feel like my ex is doing this to the guy she is with now. She tells me that she wishes he was me sometimes and it was too soon but continues to pursue a relationship with him. It hurts me more knowing that she isn't trying to heal and improve herself and I'm tearing myself apart trying to improve and be what she needed me to be.
I am so sorry and you are not alone dear friend. I just ended it two days ago. Just found out that I am the rebound. He broke up with his ex a year ago so I had no clue I could be a rebound. I really feel you on the point on what we had was real. It really was. But you still feel so used and no one wins in this.

@@kalypso9256 I certainly know the pain and you definitely don't want to experience it anymore. I just hope you're not afraid to fall in love again though. One thing I learned is that if I can love the wrong person that much, imagine how wonderful it'll be like to love the right person. So for now, let yourself to grief and cry even. Talk to family and friends who can give you support, do activities to take your mind of the person, delete anything that has anything to do with them and block them, this is crucial. My best advice is to focus on healing yourself. You wouldn't want to move on too quickly and give the same pain to the next person.
I remember my past 8 years ex who married someone a week later and moved out of state and called the cops on me. He knew he did something wrong that he has to live with the rest of his life

Not if they're still calling you 2 years later expecting you to talk to them like they didn't cheat & lie. In that case, it doesn't matter because exhibit A is a total lack of trustworthiness on their part.
My ex told me he has more feelings for the girl he met 3 months a go then he EVER has for me in 12 YEARS. I feel so awful and unworthy. 💔

I was with my ex for 17 years and all it took was a comment on her TikTok video and as soon as she broke it off with me they started talking and she started going to see this guy he also lives 3hrs away and to top it off we live together and have a 5 yr old together

My very recent ex (D/A) dumped me (F/A becoming secure) a month ago for a guy she met at work but it has only really been a thing for about two months. We where together for about 31/2 years and where engaged. The new guy broke off from his fiencee of 6 years (they where getting married in month from when I post this) me and my ex where also engaged. I made a silly financial mistake during lockdown and my ex has seen this a man a red flag. We have not really communicated properly for about 12 months as I have been dealing with depression (now diagnosed as potentially Cyclothymia).
I can be hard work but everyone I know has said that I am such a great person but I became such an introverted and anxious person with my ex. She isn’t the easiest person to de with either.

So the issue that I am having with my ex is that they married their rebound partner who was also their high school sweetheart just 3 months ago. After being told that they would never speak to me or see me again we have gone to texting and conversation/going out. My ex went into a rebound relationship after a 5-year I believe he's jumped into a few different relationships I think why is jumping into other now I year he's dating guy.. I was with this guy since 2016. If he still loves me how come he hasn't reached out to me yet? Last week I saw him in public and he stared at me for a second what does that mean? He didn't come up and say hi to me and try to apologize for what he did. He looked at me twice. I saw him on the bus and he looked at me at the corner of his eye what does that mean? He hasn't tried to reach out to me saying I saw you today I love to talk things out with you and be your friend. I'm dating somebody else though maybe I can be friends with my ex while I'm dating somebody else. And the rebound relationship as he met up with this girl online and people online. I think he's been doing dating apps online.
My ex boyfriend broke up with me on May 4th after almost 2 years of a serious relationship. We were long distance but we got to see eachother every month and we were incredibly close. We were bestfriends and he was VERY invested. Within a month after we broke up, he was already with someone new... He posts pictures of the two of them and they both changed their profile pictures already to the two of them together... He never posted anything like that when we were in our honeymoon phase so something seems really off. Like he's trying to prove himself to her and everyone else... @@IamCoachCourt they knew each other but we were incredibly close and he was very obsessed with me and talked to me 24/7. When we weren't working we would be on the phone. And we would talk every morning and night till we fell asleep. So if that were the case, he didn't really have much time to talk to her. Plus she was in a serious long term last year as well that ended...

My Ex brought up breaking up with me a couple months ago and officially wanted to break up a few weeks ago. She connected with an old friend she used as a rebound in the past. @Bruce Gant Rebound start fast and have a high intensity about them so right now, dont do anything, dont say anything, just focus in your own life like you did not notice this annoying episode , focus on bettering yourself because that person is coming back and when they do you need to be in better place with yourself mentally and physically, advance yourself, Rebound goes fast and crash fast as well so let them hit the rock and thats going to be pretty soon, when that person come back you need ti ask yourself if you want them back as its questionable but that person is coming back
@@BrighterLifeInstitute I feel that, because as of right now I've gotten over the weight of the reality of the initial breakup. So I'm not as emotional as I was when she first sprung it on me. Since we live together I made sure to avoid arguments and keep the vibe good. So now she says she wants to get her own place, which I anticipated was going to be coming soon. I feel, honestly, more upset about my children not being with me everyday and not being a family under 1 roof. That's what hurts the most. But, like you said I have to get myself in a better place financially, mentally and spiritually.

But I was focused on other aspects of our situation. I guess I feel like I dropped the ball on keeping our relationship alive. Kind of like I failed her and the relationship. We we're in a relationship for 4 years and 9 months. We were in a long distance relationship and a month ago, he broke up with me. His new gf is in the x-ray department and he's actually managing the canteen of the poly clinic where his new gf works. I guess, they were already talking before. They were official before he broke up with me. I don't know if he still loves me or if there's still a chance for us to be together.
Just move on. If there’s any chance of it, don’t entertain it. They don’t respect you and won’t ever again. It’s very rare it will work long term. Also why would you want someone that had eyes for someone else and even emotionally violated your trust?

Hi, I have tried to end my relationship with my girlfriend 4 times in 6months because of the fear that I'm a rebound guy. @@IamCoachCourt yes, it's pretty unhealthy situation. My ex is undiagnosed borderline (quiet) and it was like a dancing with sweet, intelligent and beautiful devil. I blocked her everywhere because after breakup she started hoovering me by 4 months in no contact. However I'm a lot better now, after excusting 3,5y trying and trying to make it work. I know I have problem with copedency. My therapist said two weeks ago she's clearly borderline. Now I see it. It's... Sad. I don't want to back to her anymore (it's still battle of heart with brain but mine sanity and dignity is more important). I thought to contact with her rebound if it could be 'something more' to take her to therapist. But if it's something for few weeks or months it's make no sense (she don't listen to me in this moment). I'm a bit terrified. Now she had exams for university, changing city... F&$6ing empathy.;) Thanks
