Pool Area Makeover - Building A New Flower Bed - Day 02

This video is the second part of a small series about the gardening project I did in the south of France, near Cannes, back in March.
The homeowner wanted a new flowerbed next to the pool, a new sprinkler system and a new lawn. I worked there for 10 days.
In the second episode I disconnect a part of the old irrigation system, it will be unnecessary because of the new bigger sprinkler heads. The homeowner liked the second layout of the flower bed better, so I started to remove the top layer and fill up the flower bed with a lot of compost soil.
In the next episodes I install a new irrigation system, removing the top layer of the lawn around the flower bed, leveling the ground with new soil and planting a lot of plants.

The homeowner was very happy with the layout of the new flower bed. Him and I were super satisfied how it turns out with the new soil. Hope you guys like it too.

That was such hard work removing all the grass! 👏 I had flashbacks to when I did something similar in my yard last spring. 😬 After I was done I swore I would never do that again. 🫤 My back has never forgiven me.
The video was really entertaining with the transitions in the beginning and end. At the start I was like, “Oh he has a helper”. So dumb I didn’t figure it out for a bit. 😂 Interested to see what plants you choose to put in it. Have a great week! 🌸🌴🪴

Hey Erin. Yes my back was so done too after this project. And this was only the first step. I removed the entire gras in the area around the new flower bed aswell and sow a new lawn.
Great to hear that you like the transitions. 😊Wanted to try something new and I like how it turns out. Thanks for your support. ✌🏼 the planting of the new plants will be somewhere in the next episodes. Maybe part 4. Don't know exactly at the moment.
