I completely agree with you! It’s refreshing to see a story that emphasizes the importance of treating everyone with respect, regardless of their background. Vanessa's experience highlights how deeply ingrained biases can lead to unjust treatment. It’s so inspiring to see her take a stand and demand the respect she deserves. Imagine if more people had the courage to speak up like she did! What do you think would happen in similar situations if everyone stood up against discrimination?
02:10 Wow, this is such an inspiring story! Thank you for sharing it with us. I love how Vanessa stood up for herself and created a more inclusive environment.
Absolutely! Vanessa's strength and determination to create a more inclusive environment are truly inspiring. It’s amazing to see how one person can make such a significant impact, not just for themselves but for everyone around them. Her actions remind us that standing up for what’s right can lead to real change. What part of the story resonated with you the most? Did you find any moments particularly empowering?
I'm so glad you loved the story! It really does highlight the importance of good morals and standing up for what’s right. Vanessa's journey is a powerful reminder that kindness and respect can create a ripple effect in our communities. It’s encouraging to see stories like this that inspire us to uphold these values in our own lives. What other stories or examples of good morals have you come across that really touched you?
I’m sorry to hear that you experienced discrimination in Rotterdam. It’s disheartening to know that such situations still occur, even in diverse cities. Your experience highlights the importance of conversations like the one sparked by Vanessa’s story. It's crucial for us to share our experiences and work together towards creating a more inclusive environment. How did you handle that situation? I’d love to hear more about your experience and thoughts on how we can encourage positive change!
Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot to me to have such supportive fans like you. I'm glad you enjoy the stories, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Your encouragement motivates me to keep creating content that resonates with others. What topics or themes would you love to see more of in the future? God bless you too! 🙏
I’m so glad you loved the story too! It’s incredible how Vanessa took charge of the situation and transformed her experience into something positive. The ending really felt like a triumph, didn’t it? It makes you think about the power we all have to create change in our own lives. What do you think would happen if more people took a stand like she did? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
I enjoyed your story which alluded to many beneficial lessons. First: always stay calm under the piercing injustice of prejudice and bullying. Second: learn from past mistakes. Third: swallow your pride when you are exposed for wrongdoing. Fourth: show compassion and never seek retribution rashly.
I enjoy the story and the idea of excepting people as they are and improving customers relationships in welcoming the customer as they are and no judgment whatsoever is always great to feel welcome to be comfortable environments and having customers being welcome in the store of no judgment
*Oh my gosh, I can’t believe how Tom treated Vanessa! It’s so frustrating to see someone act like that out of prejudice. But the moment when Vanessa came back to her legal team was so beautiful. It’s a great lesson for anyone who has ever been judged based on their appearance. Thank you Vanessa for standing up and changing things!*
Funny how this story wants to mirror what may happen in real world but in real world when fired manager first thing would be getting his set of master keys to the store and changing combination to the safe and making sure he takes no money from safe while in office getting personal items and codes for cameras and getting alarm codes changed!
In 1957 i was 14yrs , i was a MEXICAN farm migrant from TEXAS picking cotton in Missouri and ARKANSAS in BLYVILLE,ARK , my friend and me were thrown out of a clothing store. The manager grabbed by the arm threw me face down by the parking car space face down . The store and many other businesses didn’t allowed Indians,Mexicans or Blacks.
@@RDDean-y5w You know I don’t feel a grudge for what happened, at time just felt disappointed and laughed about it. During that time we got along, working together with Blacks, Natives and whites, also went through the middle of that protest in Little Rock. Lucky we didn’t get harmed, it was ugly.
@@RDDean-y5w By the way at time didn’t even think about suing any way you never win. I am retired just living on social security and disabled but thank GOD for all my family our Breath of life and daily Bread, i hope you all doing well 🙏🤲✝️
There has always been something in my mind when it comes to discrimination of color, my question has always been, if you discriminate some one on their color, why do people go to the beach to get a sun tan?????? get it!
I read your story with interest, and am compelled to comment. Vanessa is described as an intellegent investor. My thoughts were that she had obviously done her due diligence and decided to buy this successful, high end, haute coture, exclusive store. It is HIGHLY unlikely she would make imediate changes to turn it into a target, or (lowering my voice to a whisper, a Walmart). No, she would have let that store do what it was good at, and cater to the crowd that consider theselves the elite. Vanessa's goal, as an astute business woman, is to make money, not fix social inequality.
Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! As a black businesswoman, I can tell you that her desire to make money is high, but her willingness to accept disrespect is low! As a business owner, you try to cultivate talent and mentor people, but you do not allow cancer to stay and spread! You can make MORE money by treating people with respect! Do you know how many sales some stores miss out on by being disrespectful to customers that don't look the part? I've personally had this experience. I was in Chicago on the Gold Mile. I had on sweats, and I left my hotel to grab a gift for a relative. I went into a particular high-end store and was treated just like this woman. I didn't own the store, so I just left and went to another store that treated me well. The store I went to made a five-figure sale and the store I left lost that sale! It wouldn't have hurt them to treat me better, but they didn't and they lost money because of it. Treating me with respect wouldn't have turned the place into "Walmart", but it did cause them to make less money! So many rich and wealthy people, like me, don't always wear suits everywhere we go! Sometimes we dress down and when you walk into a store and have someone treat you poorly, you vote with your dollars and leave. Truthfully, many high-end stores allow you to make reservations if you're rich or wealthy, but when you walk in that door, if you aren't treated well, you leave - no matter how much money you have. So, you can buy a business because you see the potential in it and realize that if you change some things, the store could make even more!
I am a retired General manager from a well known retail store Sears I had the best team ever respect was a must from me and my team returned it as well...rewards from honey not vinager I'm 76 yrs old some of my team still stay in touch ❤
This was a great story Everyone should be treated fairly. Not the color of your skin but as potential customer

Too repetitive!
I hate it when they get too much information in the beginning. And ruin the story
Then don't listen
