I am SO PROUD of Jenelle, for having the courage and determination, not only to stop this bully from tormenting her own son...but for having the courage to demand change and the determination to see that change grow from empty promises to resounding action. She is a Mama Lioness and her roar was powerful when it came to demanding change and better treatment for her son and other students.

I enjoyed this story of a determined Mom that dedication for her son showed her unconditional love for her child. Well done.

I enjoyed this story I feel like no child should be treated different because of the color of their skin,I am so proud of ms Thompson for standing up for her son , and bringing changers for every child that was treated different.

What a pity this became a us against them between white and black. I am alarmed about the effect of this type of racism has on our children actually teaching our white children to treat others differently .... All parents should be realy concerned.

I had a rotten teacher miss Buckner she was hateful she should never had ever been around children she made me hate school from the third grade up through high school adults really dont realise just how bad their words and punishment does to a child she even bragged about breaking a wooden 12inch ruler over a little boys head and she made them stand in the corner for eight hours straight
she was rude and cold I still dislike her I had a crosseyed and she made fun of it that was something I couldn't help I was a homely child and she made me feel bad about my looks in fact I still do even though I've been told I'm beautifull now I wish I could meet her today she like to tell 3rd graders about her love life which is so out of place in a class room for little kids

and what's really sad is the children never tell what adults are doing to them because the children are taught that grown ups are right and children are wrong we wer 'nt tought that adults can be wrong especially when the children are being taught not to tell your parents what the teachers are doing to their students like teachers haveing sex with children and that's the woke left not just the president and vice president and the left I'm not saying all the
teachers but some do not just don't tell that we are going to change your sex it's all wrong it's not up to teachers to tell the students don't tell your parents it's our secret

This was a wonderful success for the students. The sad thing is it’s not fiction but reality. I wish all of us are color blind sadly many are not. I find diversity is exciting and rewarding. As a 82 year old, I am glad we have diversity in heritage. Henry Ford sold only black cars, would that be boring and dull. Colors make our world exciting. That applies to skin color too

I witness this happen to my daughter in 3 grade over 30 years ago. I was looking through the door window and saw my daughter sitting behind a cardboard during class! I will never forget that sight. It’s a parents nightmare. My fight began for my child an honor student in middle high school and college as well as graduate school. Parents stay woke! My child could not communicate what was happening to her. It was my job to find out what was going on and take charge of her education.

Always trust your instincts as a parent. If you notice changes in your child's behavior, don't hesitate to investigate and speak up. Your involvement can make a significant difference in your child's well-being.

I had problems with a teacher who didn't know anything about ADD. My daughter didn't have the hyper element but, was very distracted. She was never allowed to go to recess. Because of other medical issues, she was taken off medication to help with her attention. I spent 8 hours a day, after school, doing her homework. We were both stressed. When she was able to take her meds again, she went from being the one who never finished her homework to being the first one done.
I can testify that year was a nightmare.

As a retired Additional Support Needs Teacher, and Teacher of English as a Foreign Language, having worked in both Mainstream day schools, Special Schools and Residential Schools , with pupils between ages 3 years up to and including Adults, I am horrified at what I see here! The purpose of education should be to teach and train All children to work together and help oneanother, to make fiends and to interact with oneanother. It can be done! It is really amazing to see pupils of all ages learning and working together in small and ever- growing groups to support conversation, play, routine activities in classroom, playground, canteen and on out of school activities. We have taught pupils to use sign- language, Makaton and foreign languages, introduced safe areas and Friendship benches to encourage inclusion, friendship groups etc.
