    A worthy tribute. When the X90 came out I spent a day with Jeremy Clarkson filming it for Top Gear UK. As a Suzuki fanatic I always liked the X90's quirky styling. The targa top is cool.

    That's Nice! Fun little car I ended up driving Mine from Pa to Ga/FL border with two 300 pounders in non-stop rain. It's amazing what Your friends will talk You into 😂

    VERY COOL! I also have a 1996 X-90. I have an ARMY MOM emblem on the back window. My son is LT Chris, recently back from deployment to Afghanistan.
    I love what you did to the car, especially the interior. Most excellent work!

    Thanks for all the positive comments. I really enjoyed putting this little car together but went against my better judgement and sold it. The person lives in Alabama and is having a blast with it. He never takes it out without people complimenting him on it. Keep enjoying the videos.

    I started with a 2" body lift. Anything bigger you will have to alter the steering shaft. Then I went with the Calmini 3" suspension lift. The only thing I had to do then was shave the fender wells to make room for the tires (29"). When I took it to have the front end aligned the had to change out the adjustment bolt to get more play. When you go to put the front springs in you will the help of a gorilla and possibly 2 small boys because they are a tight squeeze.

    I did all the work myself and have about $3,500 wrapped up in parts and materials. I really lucked out and found another x-90 on ebay that was in a tornado and was totaled. The power train only had 25k on it. I swapped out the complete power train to include all instuments. It now has 27k and runs like new. Great deals on ebay if one just looks. If I go back to when I first bought this vehicle and include everything done to date I would have about 7 grand wrapped up in it.

    That car is Sweeeeeet, I really like what you done with the inner door cards, the centre console around the CD Player, and the seats....
    ...How did you get the gear knob off? did you have to cut it off or does it have a scrrew hidden under the rubber top-coating?

    I have bought my wife one of these as her first car and it's a funny little thing but we both love it. I'm getting some bigger wheels and tires for it but wondered what other little mods I could do for her to make it a bit more unique. Nothing mental though, any suggestions? Snorkel maybe? Spotlights? You know the type of things

    @phaze500 It wasn't that hard..just time comsuming. It slowed it down goin up hills on the highway but I'm not into speed so it didn't matter. There was no fabrication exept I used spacers to lift the bumpers up to where they should be. The Semper Fi is permantly in my heart.

  • @phaze500
    @phaze500 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    awesome in red, and thank you for your service. my car is getting back in the booth hahaha
    how hard was it too install? and what size is your lift, what did it do to the topend if anything, did it slow it down at all? what kind of fabrication and tools did ya have to use? it came out very nice but i see no semper fi ?

    Sir, I respect your service, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for it. But thats the fugliest piece of shit I have ever seen. That thing makes prius' look cool. The X-90 has no idea what it wants to be, its not an SUV or a truck its fucking car albeit an ugly one. It has less then a 100hp and less than 100 ft/tq, Please enlighten me because I sure don't see what's so appealing about these cars.

      Bought one for my wife...They're not meant for anything serious; but they're cheap to buy, cheap to fix, built quite well, a surprinsgly good 4x4 and short wheelbase it's actually quite hilarious to see what it can do. Amazingly cheap on gas and awesome in the snow here in Canada. And they're not ugly....just kinda...butterfaced ;)

      No problem Joe, to each his own. I saw one on the net and that's when I decided to get one and lift it. It started as just an experiment but once I took it 4 wheeling and saw what it could do, wow. This thing will go where the big boys can't and it's almost impossible to get one stuck. I really regret getting rid of it but if I kept it I would have trashed it.
