Much thanks for a great tip. My '96 X-90 just passed 300,000 miles and is still going strong. Oddly, in all these years I've only had two
lightbulbs burn out. The car has been a lot of fun and surprisingly functional. I'd buy a new one in an instant if Suzuki would come back into the states.

Glad you found the video useful. I use my X-90 as my daily. Hopefully it makes it to the milage you are running.

Extra tips for anyone else doing this:::
The new motor may have a machined locating pin on the geared wheel and your original one wont (It also may Not be reversed as many say) Dont panic. Where the speaker sits you see a raised metal circle, Thats approx the middle of the mounting position of the motor Drill a hole just below that and get some tin tin snips and cut a 2"(50mm) hole. (Make sure the window is up or you will contact the glass) now drill a pilot hole through the center where the motor mounts in the frame, If you got the entire window assembly its easy to see where to drill.
Drill a10mm hole to allow the locating pin to go through ( Dont push too hard if you have a long drill as it may contact the outer metal skin!!)
Now the magic, The hole you cut in the door lets you hold the motor on place, Its brilliant, the the speaker will cover it up later .

I use a spray white lithium grease on the scissor part that helps the window go up and down and it helps but that’s on my sport trac. But very helpful hint on the replacement motor.

Thanks. I may try that on my daughter's x-90. Her passenger side is weak even after a new motor.

@@trashpandaoffroad3548 my brother is an auto glass guy and I just double checked and he said that white lithium is what they always used.

I have already done both windows in my daughter's x-90 and one of mine so I understand what you are saying. I am gonna try greasing the lifts to see if I can get a longer life out of the motors

Hey, I’ve got this same problem with both of mine. Where can I get the motors for them and are they car specific?

Pretty sure I mentioned it in the video but I think it is a toyota corolla motor. You can get from any parts store. Just remember to get the opposite side for what you need.

Thank you for awesome video! can you share the link to the window motor?

I dont buy my parts online very often so I dont have a link. I just went into my local Oreilys and asked for a window motor for a 97 to 01 Toyota Camry.

Did the lithium grease help the issue?

Never did get around to trying it. My wife started driving the X-90 and I got busy working on my Overland Tracker.

@@trashpandaoffroad3548 I hear ya. My wife rolled the drivers side all the way down on mine, so it won't go back up.

Nuts. I had that happen before and it turned out to be a broken wire.
