Just want to point out that you don't need to fully charge the 2 stacks to get the Bloom shots. In this sense, the visual indicators don't match the actual minimum timing required. You can release the charged shots just a little bit after the level 1 charge and you will still get the complete Level 2 Bloom shot. You may need to practice the timing a little bit if you are new to this, but it's pretty easy to nail down and do consistently. ;)
there are some mistakes here. Ganyu can always use her burst in melt teams where xiangling is present, and not using her burst there is a HUGE DPS LOSS. Otherwise wonderful video ❤❤❤
Thank you. I think I was specifically referencing burning related teams. If not than I am sorry for the misunderstanding. The amount of cryo from burst and charged attacks can put out burning too easily. Of course you don't have this problem with Xiangling in your team. 😁

@@cajun1253 Lol late reply but, for a freeze team your not really going against bosses so all the mobs you go against should be able to be frozen. Therefore in a freeze team you can use Rosaria for her extra crit rate passive talent instead of Diona because you shouldn't really need the shield/heal because all the enemies are frozen. Diona is still a good character and you should build her for other teams. Another "freeze" team you could use is Morgana if you get Venti and Mona.
Last abyss cycle I ran a mono cryo Ayaka and then mono cryo Ganyu. Was able to clear the second side of the abyss with both. A shielder for mono cryo Ganyu is a must and I think Layla is the best fit as - Her shield is beefy and has a low cooldown - Her burst does decent damage thanks to Shenhe - Her c4 buffs Ganyu's charge shots. - Her burst radius is huge so you don't have to try to play circle impact as you do for Rosaria - If don't have a Shenhe she can give cryo resonance Zhongli provides many of these benefits too but he's in high demand for other characters that require a thick shield such as Wanderer, Cyno and Hu Tao (I should say any hyper carry that has windows where you can't swap them out).

I don't agree with Shimenawa set *only* being better than Wanderer set if you get 5 charged shots per rotation. My WandererTroupe set has better sub stats and crit ratio than my Shimenawa set, but does less damage nonetheless. And when you consider the fact that you can't even use her Q in many melt teams, I don't see why Wanderer set would be preffered over Shimenawa. I've tested this with 4* bows, 5* bows, Atk% Sands, EM Sands. In all scenarios, Shimenawa set came out on top despite having worse stats.
So........ Fun fact. You can use the burst even in a Xiangling melt team. If it's in single target, the rotation is Ganyu E->Q. Zhongli E, Bennet Q->E Xiangling Q->E 3-4 Melt Charged shots, Ganyu E, Bennet E into Xiangling repreat with Ganyu using her E after Zhongli's E instead. She doesn't loose ST melts. Ganyu only looses AOE melts, but in AOE, the burst is better anyway, so I'd just snapshot Bennet's attack buff onto the burst. Or, if you absolutely want to use Ganyu's skill on cooldown, you could potentially use Dehya as the "shielder" and lower Xiangling's energy requirements.
The best Ganyu guide should include animation cancels. You have to spend some time practicing for both C6 and non-C6. Edit: For Ganyu enthusiast, follow Xianlin Cup which is exclusive Ganyu competition. You’ll learn a lot about her playstyle
There are 2 viable options IMO. Diona and Dehya. Ganyu can actually make use of her burst if you rotation with it and don't spam her skill off of cooldown. For that playstyle, Diona batteries Ganyu. In AOE, it's a no-brainer and your using her burst anyway. Dehya has the opposite use. She generates pyro particles, so she lowers ER requirements for Xiangling/Bennet, allowing you to either shorted rotations, or run more offensive stats. It also makes the Ganyu burst consequence free even if you spam the skill on cooldown. You do have to be mindful on how she works though. Once you get close to a second with Dehya on the field, then you use Dehya's E, and immediately swap out, allowing Ganyu to have interruption resistance for 4 shots, possibly sneaking in an extra 5th. I don't recommend Layla for melt, because she will compete for melts, making using Ganyu's burst not an option.
c4 yanfei w/protoamber is actually the best 4* option for melt ganyu but needs ER sands and decent invest. Diona is good too esp with high cons, the only downside is her shield only lasts 12 seconds vs 15 seconds. Layla is not reccomended as her cryo app gets in the way.
I got Ganyu and I was really happy, though I really just wanted Kaveh lol But now I'm in a bit of a struggle cuz my only hydros are Xingqiu, Barbara and Candace so I don't have a team for her Any advice helps, thanks!

diona's actually great for interruption resistance :D i think build diona first since you're a newer player & she's cheaper to build, & once you get better at the game you can replace her with rosaria who does good sub-DPS
Just pulled Ganyu after failing all the 50/50s on her reruns. Great guide any reason for not to use the blackcliff bow as a stat stick? If you're running ganyu with a cryo resonance and have the boosted crit rate wouldn't aiming for more crit dmg be a viable option?
as someone who used her with blackcliff, i would say the ATK loss and the passive loss is major issue. Ganyu is a very straightforward character and her kit revolves around ATK/weak points. Aiming for artifacts which both have crit rate&damage with atk percent is a waste of time because the chances are very slim, especially with wanderers even though with artifact box.
this also goes for blizzard strayer x4. artifacts/resin is still a huge issue in genshin that needs to be adressed. For 4 star the reason why crescent is very present is the passive is a game changer and getting it R5 is very very easy.

Going with Anemo allows Ganyu theoretically to do more damage but it leaves you open for getting attacked which leads a big dps loss. You should get a shielder like Zhongli, Diona or Layla.

im fairly new (ar 38) and i don't have most of the characters you mentioned in the vid, i pulled for ganyu because she seemed cool and i was told she was rly f2p friendly anyways here's my pool of available characters what team could i build with this? : Ganyu (ofc), xiangling, dehya (i lost my first 50/50 when trying to get ganyu and god dehya...), barbara, mc, fischl, amber, kaeya, candace, sayu, faruzan, rozaria, dori, lisa, kaveh, collei and noelle. Hi Foxfire here. I can see 2 decent teams that you can build here. One will be Ganyu, Faruzan, Rosaria and Sayu. The other one is Ganyu, Dehya, Xiangling and Barbara. You can replace Barbara with Benett once you got him. The first team I mentioned is a cryo mono team. It has only cryo units and one anemo (it's called cryo mono but anemo is allowed) that team has a shielder and a healer. So should be pretty save. And Sayu can hold a Veridescent 4 piece set. You should farm it once you hit AR45. The other team is a melt team. That has also Dehya who mitigates damage and gives you restiance against interruption. So you can do charged attacks with Ganyu in peace. Barbara keeps the party alive. And Xiangling will put pyro on the enemy so you can use melt with Ganyu. For Xiangling you should get a lot of Energy recharge so you can use her burst often. I can tell you much more but I don't want to create a wall of text. So if you have any further questions. Feel free to ask.
i have 65 wish and was prepared to lose. but oh boy got baizhu on 7th pity after Nilou. I still continue because I want Kaveh. my general rule is to wish on other banner if i already got the 5* on the first banner. so yea after 27th wish it turns gold again and it's ganyu. totally unexpected. i been skipping her coz i dont really need her. but i have amos lv90 lying around and some good WT (i have a lot of good pieces even my tighnari is popping off) I was right if i get a ganyu she'll also be popping off. so the ratio is 59/213 with 377 em (because em sands) cant wait to test its maximum potential since she is still lv71 and talents 4,2,2 (i have no mora from levelling 2characters i prefarmed for)

She is my favorite character. I lost 50/50 for Tighnari. Tried on my 2nd account and lost 50/50 for Keqing. Then i said f**ck it and bought 150€ worth of primos and lost my f2p virginity. But now i don't need to spend ever again as my main goal is done.
As a long-time Ganyu player, I get the stigma with Dehya but it's dead wrong. She's great with Ganyu, but she doesn't replace Bennett. She replaces Zhongli. At least, she's good enough not to get, "why'd you even pull for her, kek."
I have a question i have ganyu and now i have her weapon too And my stats are 226 crit dmg, 31crit rate , 4pc wanderers but still missing some rate why ??
Melt but depends on your situation melt ganyu needs more crit rate and wanderer troupe set while freeze need way less maybe 40% will be sufficient and don't forget wanderer troupe is much harder to farm.
I hate to be that guy, but Amos isn't good. The other sig bows are typically better. It's an upgrade over the 4 star options, but I'd honestly bench the weapon if you had other 5 star bows. At least it only cost you 10 pulls. For teams, it's situation dependent. For general use, use melt. For AOE, use freeze. Though an alternative is mono cryo as something that operates on a similar principle to freeze, but doesn't have as harsh of a damage loss against bosses.
As a c6 Ganyu haver and main, the c6 is kinda.. dumb? I didn't even go hard for it. I just get lucky on her banners. All below 20 pity and won 50/50s where I pulled out of boredom and love for the character. I use her with Bolide since I have Zhongli in her team always. Since shield strength affects the ones having it on them and not the shielder, its actually better to have shield strength on someone who's going to be shielded rather than the shielder themselves. I have never liked the c6 but got it from random pulls simply because I do love her character and wanted to do some pulls. She's my main who I love and adore. Her c4 is the insane one in my opinion. c6 is just.. meh. If the no charge needed charge shot were for as long as the skill is on the field, then I'd feel differently. Just one charge shot though? I go into charge mode and stay there until I need to redo my shield or do a burst.
What do u think about using Layla with Ganyu? I have her C1 and think it can be somewhat decent in a team with her, Sadly i dont have any Hydro units aside from Xingchiu Edit: i also have Barbara
Can i clarify how she somehow has a base 20% crit rate, as i don't see this reflected in her attributes. I have Skyward Harp, so i have 20% due to that weapon, hit an enemy with cryo get 20%, hit that enemy within 5 seconds of a frostflake arrow get another 20%, hit an enemy that is then hopefully frozen get another 20%. So even against unfreezable enemies i should be able to sustain 60% crit rate after 3 charged shots, correct? Or is it 80% due to this alleged Ganyu-innate 20% crit rate?
i disagree on aqua being better than amos in melt. across the board my amos has always performed better than aqua. with a simple melt setup with kazuha for vv shred and guoba to apply pyro, amos consistently gaps aqua by 15%, considering my amos is r2 and aqua at r1 i think its still feasible for amos to gap aqua by 10-12% at r1. do keep in mind amos is still pulling ahead at 220% crit damage with amos while on aqua my ganyu has 309% crit damage. both tests done on 4pc WT. maybe im missing something here
I got her off 50/50 but tbh I didn’t care if I got her or not because if I didn’t I could just use my guaranteed on Kazuha, but I guess I’ll have to win another 50/50 now.

I want to have her with Ayato, Yomia, and either syu or Kuki Shinobu Im not sure if this team is good but It has alot of effects like freeze, Mealt, Swirl if I have Syu and Super Conduckt if I add Shinobu. diona's actually great for interruption resistance :D i think build diona first since you're a newer player & she's cheaper to build, & once you get better at the game you can replace her with rosaria who does good sub-DPS
Just pulled Ganyu after failing all the 50/50s on her reruns. Great guide any reason for not to use the blackcliff bow as a stat stick? If you're running ganyu with a cryo resonance and have the boosted crit rate wouldn't aiming for more crit dmg be a viable option?
as someone who used her with blackcliff, i would say the ATK loss and the passive loss is major issue. Ganyu is a very straightforward character and her kit revolves around ATK/weak points. Aiming for artifacts which both have crit rate&damage with atk percent is a waste of time because the chances are very slim, especially with wanderers even though with artifact box.
this also goes for blizzard strayer x4. artifacts/resin is still a huge issue in genshin that needs to be adressed. For 4 star the reason why crescent is very present is the passive is a game changer and getting it R5 is very very easy.
Sooo in conclusion as F2P melt team craft hamayumi or crescent?

Going with Anemo allows Ganyu theoretically to do more damage but it leaves you open for getting attacked which leads a big dps loss. You should get a shielder like Zhongli, Diona or Layla.

Just started Genshin and Ganyu my 1st 5 start. Been using reverse melt sith bennet and Xiangling. Im stuck on who to use as a shielder. I got a Kirara... she an ok shielder till better options come?

im fairly new (ar 38) and i don't have most of the characters you mentioned in the vid, i pulled for ganyu because she seemed cool and i was told she was rly f2p friendly anyways here's my pool of available characters what team could i build with this? : Ganyu (ofc), xiangling, dehya (i lost my first 50/50 when trying to get ganyu and god dehya...), barbara, mc, fischl, amber, kaeya, candace, sayu, faruzan, rozaria, dori, lisa, kaveh, collei and noelle. You have 200 comments already so you probably won't even see this one but i would really appreciate some help with teambuilding
Hi Foxfire here. I can see 2 decent teams that you can build here. One will be Ganyu, Faruzan, Rosaria and Sayu.
The other one is Ganyu, Dehya, Xiangling and Barbara. You can replace Barbara with Benett once you got him.
The first team I mentioned is a cryo mono team. It has only cryo units and one anemo (it's called cryo mono but anemo is allowed)
that team has a shielder and a healer. So should be pretty save. And Sayu can hold a Veridescent 4 piece set. You should farm it once
you hit AR45.
The other team is a melt team. That has also Dehya who mitigates damage and gives you restiance against interruption. So you can
do charged attacks with Ganyu in peace. Barbara keeps the party alive. And Xiangling will put pyro on the enemy so you can use melt
with Ganyu. For Xiangling you should get a lot of Energy recharge so you can use her burst often.
I can tell you much more but I don't want to create a wall of text. So if you have any further questions. Feel free to ask.

i have 65 wish and was prepared to lose. but oh boy got baizhu on 7th pity after Nilou. I still continue because I want Kaveh. my general rule is to wish on other banner if i already got the 5* on the first banner. so yea after 27th wish it turns gold again and it's ganyu. totally unexpected. i been skipping her coz i dont really need her. but i have amos lv90 lying around and some good WT (i have a lot of good pieces even my tighnari is popping off) I was right if i get a ganyu she'll also be popping off. so the ratio is 59/213 with 377 em (because em sands) cant wait to test its maximum potential since she is still lv71 and talents 4,2,2 (i have no mora from levelling 2characters i prefarmed for)

She is my favorite character. I lost 50/50 for Tighnari. Tried on my 2nd account and lost 50/50 for Keqing. Then i said f**ck it and bought 150€ worth of primos and lost my f2p virginity. But now i don't need to spend ever again as my main goal is done.
As a long-time Ganyu player, I get the stigma with Dehya but it's dead wrong. She's great with Ganyu, but she doesn't replace Bennett. She replaces Zhongli. At least, she's good enough not to get, "why'd you even pull for her, kek."

Should i use Freeze or Melt
Melt but depends on your situation melt ganyu needs more crit rate
and wanderer troupe set while freeze need way less maybe 40% will be sufficient and don't forget wanderer troupe is much harder to farm.
I hate to be that guy, but Amos isn't good. The other sig bows are typically better. It's an upgrade over the 4 star options, but I'd honestly bench the weapon if you had other 5 star bows. At least it only cost you 10 pulls.
For teams, it's situation dependent. For general use, use melt. For AOE, use freeze. Though an alternative is mono cryo as something that operates on a similar principle to freeze, but doesn't have as harsh of a damage loss against bosses.

As a c6 Ganyu haver and main, the c6 is kinda.. dumb? I didn't even go hard for it. I just get lucky on her banners. All below 20 pity and won 50/50s where I pulled out of boredom and love for the character. I use her with Bolide since I have Zhongli in her team always. Since shield strength affects the ones having it on them and not the shielder, its actually better to have shield strength on someone who's going to be shielded rather than the shielder themselves. I have never liked the c6 but got it from random pulls simply because I do love her character and wanted to do some pulls. She's my main who I love and adore. Her c4 is the insane one in my opinion. c6 is just.. meh. If the no charge needed charge shot were for as long as the skill is on the field, then I'd feel differently. Just one charge shot though? I go into charge mode and stay there until I need to redo my shield or do a burst.
What do u think about using Layla with Ganyu? I have her C1 and think it can be somewhat decent in a team with her, Sadly i dont have any Hydro units aside from Xingchiu

Layla has a pretty sturdy shield. Stronger than Dionas and at times stronger than Thomas. Just a bit short uptime with 12s but workable.
Can i clarify how she somehow has a base 20% crit rate, as i don't see this reflected in her attributes. I have Skyward Harp, so i have 20% due to that weapon, hit an enemy with cryo get 20%, hit that enemy within 5 seconds of a frostflake arrow get another 20%, hit an enemy that is then hopefully frozen get another 20%. So even against unfreezable enemies i should be able to sustain 60% crit rate after 3 charged shots, correct? Or is it 80% due to this alleged Ganyu-innate 20% crit rate?

I wanted kazuha in 3.7 or zhongli somewhere in the future.....got her at 40 pity and used my guaranteed
i disagree on aqua being better than amos in melt. across the board my amos has always performed better than aqua.
with a simple melt setup with kazuha for vv shred and guoba to apply pyro, amos consistently gaps aqua by 15%, considering my amos is r2 and aqua at r1 i think its still feasible for amos to gap aqua by 10-12% at r1. do keep in mind amos is still pulling ahead at 220% crit damage with amos while on aqua my ganyu has 309% crit damage. both tests done on 4pc WT. maybe im missing something here

I want to have her with Ayato, Yomia, and either syu or Kuki Shinobu Im not sure if this team is good but It has alot of effects like freeze, Mealt, Swirl if I have Syu and Super Conduckt if I add Shinobu.
