Michael Richards having 9 stars on his shoes for all those years, long before they knew the show would last 9 seasons no more no less, is the kind of thing that makes me believe in destiny.
I'm glad they talked about the clip show, "The Chronicle" which was just before "The Finale, Part 1." It was crazy to make "The Finale, Part 2" a return to past guest stars, when they just did that! And the principals just sit around with nothing to do or say for the last episode.
The way the episode paid tribute to all those great guest characters was so well done! Getting them all in one room like that, it feels like Avengers: Endgame. Like seeing Peterman, Frank Costanza, Newman, Joe Bookman and the Soup Nazi all together like that.
Elaine and Jerry getting back together was a major theory everyone had. Looking back that would have been such a stupid ending. I think the show ended just fine
One underrated part of the finale is the story of Elaine trying to call her friend Jill. Such a classic Seinfeld type story that could have easily been in the first few seasons. The payoff when she calls her from prison is perfect.
I’ll always be wondering how long the show would have been popular for had it kept going. If the ratings would have kept going up. Because look how popular the show is today decades later. It blows the popularity of stuff like Cheers or All in the Family Away!
I remember the insanity of it. The speculation of how it might end. And the frenzy. Living in L.A. at that time was particularly crazy. You couldn't walk out your front door without hearing several theories of how it might end. One particular theory I remember was that finally Jerry and George will reveal they are actually gays. Not that there is anything wrong with it. 😁
It is FAR better to quit while you are still great than to hang on and on and on until you become like a pile of old newspapers, like The SImpson's. While The Simpson's legacy is assured, it will always be a balance of the glory years, say the first ten years and the dreadful hangings on of the years ever since. The magic was gone long ago and yet... Seinfeld will never suffer such a fate and will always be regarded as one of the greatest television series, from start to finish in all of TV history.

My school was having an Arts night and they wanted me to sing and perform something because I did Drama/Arts. I declined, telling them that it was the same night as the Seinfend Finale. Most people scoffed at me. I never regretted it.
Something that Two and a Half Men should have done after the departure of Sheen. Kutcher wasnt cut for that role and fk up the dynamics between every character in the show.
Sometimes I wish the simpsons had ended after they're 9th season. Because if they had, then both this show and that show could have been evenly matched. And they both aired in 1989, and just like seinfeld, the simpsons 9th season ended in 1998. So yeah I really think that if both the shows had ended that same year, then that would have been much better, and the simpsons wouldn't have ever gone down hill.
