Jaw dropping isn’t even click bait. I’ve been refinishing furniture since I was about 13 and this is the most stunning work I’ve seen. That’s high end, pure class. Your work is exemplary, and you have a wonderful artistic eye. You could see a huge return if you auction those pieces.
I think auctioning is an excellent idea. Angie showed us a piece axfew videos ago that she said was just sitting in her shop and not selling. But it was _beautiful_ ! She said she priced it at $125. I was gobsmacked. Auctioning might be a good idea - with a reserve, of course.
God bless you for treating the wood in the unseen places. To me that attention to detail I s the mark of true craftsmanship. Much love to you for the work you do to save pieces.
I love watching furnisher refinishing, but now I can’t watch anyone else. The amazing results, filming style, voice-over. Everything! No-one else even compares to you Angie. Thank you for putting the content you do out ❤
Dont understand why you dont have more subscriber. I've been watching you for a year. Your by far one of the better furniture flippers out there. Dont get it. Keep up the great work. Dont stop.
You, my dear, are a true artist. The grain is so beautiful on both pieces. And the colors of the stain are fantastic. Congratulations. Wish I could own one of your pieces.
Wow! The credenza is beautiful and classic and elegant. The dresser, though, is next-level stunning! I am in love with them both. You are so amazingly good at finding the “soul” of the furniture you revive. Thank you for the double reveal today. Thanks also for the fun extra feature of all the deer.🌸
I'm always so impressed not just by how you flipped the furniture but by the information that you provide in regards to wood and the production of the product and the age. Truly you're an artist and just a delight to watch
Absolutely beautiful transformations, Angie. I’m so glad you say how long it takes to do things like sanding, etc. The magic of video can set very unrealistic expectations so it’s good to have the frequent reality checks. Thank you for the deer family interlude. I always love the breaks for animals, bunnies and otherwise.
Angie the look of the stain on that second piece is literally jaw dropping. Thank you so much for showing us!! I’m not much of one to accumulate many possessions but I know if I owned that one I’d stop and admire it every time I passed by.
You always leave the nicest comments! I've really started to look forward to them. I really appreciate them and I'm so glad you're enjoying my pieces! 😃
Both pieces are outstanding! The grain is so unusual - interesting, and now made more visible. The credenza black accents are great - made me happy. And the dresser itself appears to be smiling (very classy smiley face). Great job.
The second one with the drawers....................OH MY GOD !! that is beyond beautiful ! the contrast in the woodgrain is absolutely stunning !! Thank you so much for another great video.
Wow, all that sanding made my shoulder hurt for you! 😂 The grain on these is incredible and I love those stains you mixed up. I love how unique these pieces are now. Seriously, I can't get over those stain colors---they are just gorgeous.
WOW Angie!!! I thought I was going to love the warmer stained piece more but that black stained piece really brought out the wood grain!!! Especially on the lower base board!!! Amazing🌸🌷🌸. What a huge family of deer too!!!🦌🦌🦌❤️
I wish there was a standing ovation emoji and even that wouldn’t scratch the surface of how I feel about this particular video. Jaw dropping is an understatement. Ladies and gentlemen, Angie is a true MASTER. This is what happens when someone LOVES what she does. Angie, your purpose and passion shows in every fiber of your work. I can almost hear each piece sigh with relief. Thank you. Keep wowing us!!!! 🤩
The 'up in smoke' stain reminded me of the Japanese shou sugi ban, where they fire wood planks to waterproof them. The grain is so prevalent and vivid against the charcoal color. Your voice over work is calming and so enlightening; I learn something each time I watch. Thank you so much.
I love the little nature breaks you take, even the times when you show your cat or bunnies. Of course, I’m an animal lover, so you’re hitting all my buttons with your amazing restorations and then showing animals too :)
WOW!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Very Impressed Angie! Two beautiful transformations….just top notch….my father refinished furniture….I mean the no paint kind…stripping….sanding, staining etc….He would get discouraged from time to time because of course you never get paid adequately for the time and patience you put into a piece! I would just say Dad you will never get paid for the love you poured into it….but you have the satisfaction knowing you did a great job and your pieces turn out beautiful🌟🙌🏻 I’m 60 and boy I wish I had him here to teach me…he passed 24 years ago….I worked as a Nurse for 33 years and I have always had a love of old furniture….I still have a lot of pieces he did for my hubby and I when we were first starting out 40 years ago….I cherish them knowing the hard work he put into them❤️ When I hear the passion in your voice when restoring the pieces you do….it reminds me of him. So I’m retired now and I tinker and am enjoying trying my hand at it….thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion with us every week…I always learn so much😊kim
I love both pieces but the second one is my favorite. The grain is so unique. It is amazing how nature can truly give us works of art. And then to have the talented people who make the piece into even more art. Then to have another talented person who can save and salvage a piece back to art again. You are so talented.
Both colours are fab but the black (Up In Smoke?) is stunning, due in part to the extraordinary timber grain. Btw, the dresser's drawers are smiling; great choice of handles😁.
Hi, just wanted to say, You belong on HGTV with your outstanding views, craftsmanship and your talented approach to your projects. It would be amazing to see your projects become inserted in the furnishings of homes. May I also ask, can you scrape the tops with veneers and laminates? Love your inspiring videos. Thanks, Steve
Oh, thank you so much Steve! To answer your question, yes, I scrape veneer tops all the time! It’s often safer than sanding old finish off them, especially if they are thing. Laminate tops on the other hand can’t be scraped. Only scuff sanded or removed entirely. Thank you so much for watching and the kind words :-)
Both pieces are beautiful...but, the second piece, the dresser....OH. MY. GOODNESS. That is some of the most gorgeous wood grain I've ever seen! 😍 Definitely a masterpiece!❤🤎❤🤎❤
Angie, you are a furniture goddess, I bet these two pieces are prettier today than they were on the day they originally left the showroom. Stunning!!!!
I find it extraordinary how you bring the wood grain alive. Those pieces have so much wooden personality that sometimes hide under a thick finish. The second stain worked magic. Love your work.
Thank you for the respect you have for mother nature’s art. I cringe at videos that show beautiful grains, burls, and mixed wood motifs covered with paint. You are a gift!
I have run out of adjectives to describe how amazing these turned out. The dresser is my favorite, but both are great! The wood grain on the dresser is so beautiful!
Took my breath away, so beautiful. My beloved, deceased husband was a gifted Carpenter/Joiner/Cabinet Maker and watching you work is exactly like seeing him tenderly and expertly restore old and unloved furniture. Thank you for sharing your Craft 🥰💕
My word, that up in smoke stain on that wood is just to die for, thank you so much for sharing this idea with us. These two peaces are truly a feast for the eyes.
@@TranscendFurnitureGallery I do not mind painted furniture either. But YES that wood was too gorgeous to hide. Where do you get Odie's, is there a website??
Michelangelo was asked how he created such extraordinary sculptures. He replied "The figures are in the marble ... I just liberate them." That train popping on the stretcher of the necessity the curved drawer fronts. Omg, that is my favorite piece! Look how gorgeous that bit is! Fantastic all around, but that grain was absolutely hidden before and that stain really made it stunning!
Wow. The amount of movement you achieved in these two pieces is amazing. Didn’t give a second look at those before you started but wowza!! Absolutely your best “rescue” yet!!!
Once again, absolutely amazing work.
May I ask what pads it is that you use to apply stain? TIA.
Oh yes! Sorry, I forgot to include it in the description - they are 1500 grit Mirka Mirlon pads!
@@TranscendFurnitureGallery thank you so much!! Your work is so amazing
What applicator do you recommend to apply GF gel stain? As well as a liquid oil base MinWax stain?
@@janicesnapp2850 other stains I usually use a regular cheap foam brush to apply and a cotton rag or shop towel to remove.
I had the same question -thank you!

Agreed. Wow! Absolutely WOW!
True story 👍🏼
Wow! That “Up in Smoke” did some amazing things to that elm! Both pieces look great, but the dresser really stands out! 👍
The color of the drawer pulls adds so much to it, too. Imagine if they were silver -- it wouldn't look nearly as good.
God bless you for treating the wood in the unseen places. To me that attention to detail I s the mark of true craftsmanship. Much love to you for the work you do to save pieces.

The second dresser has to be my favorite of the pieces I have seen you do!
It’s also my favourite!
Up in smoke was a winner!
The finish on the second piece makes that wild and crazy wood grain just leap off of the wood. Very cool!
