It's looking great Martin! As usual! You da best!!! Microphones: As you commented I had the same issue with my simple computer mike.. I bought a new one.. not to expensive.. not too cheap and sound quality didn't improve, so instead of buying a professional mike I used my HD camera and hid the image track behind the slideshow with my video editor (Pinnacle) so that I was not seen but my voice could be heard... and Eureka!!

Ha ha...although it was an all day event with other great artists such as "The Keith Richards Band" and after smoking weed and drinking a pack of Lager beers, I still remember the event like it happened yesterday. Led Zeppelin came on at 11.00pm and finished at 1.30am, then did 3 more encore songs....when one is at the feet of the Gods, one remembers it well!

I wish I could of sit down and watch every of your updates but I just had to skip some parts :/ I am going to start the F14 I got 3 months ago soon. Just going to make small progress day by day. I'm going to try oil wash on it. Wanna get something done before the weather gets cold and I can't open my windows while working. Hi Martin, Your models are very nice!! When using the model masters primer, do you have issues with it lifting off with tape? Also, I have used future for the gloss coat but it is 'messy.' How does the model masters acryl gloss perform when applying decals and washes? Take care!
+principaldrew Thank you Drew, greatly appreciated : ) Regarding the Model Masters primer lifting with tape: are you washing your sprues in warm soapy water and letting them air dry to remove molding residues that will prevent the primer adhering to the surface of the plastic parts? If not, then I suggest you wash your sprues before you begin building your model. Also, what brand of tape are you using? I use Tamiya tape, but never straight from the roll- I stick my tape onto my table top and rub it down a couple of times to lift off some of the adhesion so that it is less tacky when applying it on top of paint. Also, before you tape onto the primer; are you allowing plenty of time for it to dry? I usually let my primer dry overnight. I've stopped using "Future" for clear coating....I only used it half a dozen times, but it's just too watery and can puddle easily...I prefer using my Model Masters Acrylic clear coats which works great for decals and washes. Thanks for your response! I tried the MM primer last week and still had issues. I do wash my models, use Tamiya tape and take off some tack, and I always let my model dry for at least 24 hours. I have had great success with Rust O'leum 2x Primer for plastic. It has a decent finish and is 'bulletproof'! The MM acrylic paints that I love bond to this extremely well. I do have a garage so I am able to paint outside the house. I was just hoping to use something indoors!! I am with you on the Future! I have used the MM flat and semi-gloss before. I bought the gloss last week to give it a go and really liked it. Future is nice for dipping canopies though. I have never done a video on TH-cam....I don't have a proper camera (except what is on my Ipad and phone!) Not even sure how to do it or if my models are 'video-worthy.' If you are interested, here is a link to some pictures of a few models I built over the last few months. There are a lot of different sequences and techniques used to achieve the battle distressed appearance achieved with airbrushing, detail brush work and the use of oil paints, too. Cheers : )
