Focke Wulf Fw 190F-8 /32 Revell

- The Focke Wulf Fw 190 is my favorite aircraft. Especially the version with a BMW 801 radial engine. When the model by Revell appears in 1/32, I immediately start building. While building the model I used many accessories. Engine, cockpit, phototech pars and guns by Eduard from Brassin Series. Gun bays of MG 151 by Aires. I swaped all barrels and pitot tube for metal ones by Aber. However there was still lot of space for upgrading soo I made others details by myself. Building this model with a lot of accessories was hard, but the results are worth it.

I've never seen such an incredible model like this, the detail is amazing and the painting and weathering pure art perfectly blended to look like metal. This model belongs in an Aviation Museum.

Every modeler has their favorite military vehicle that they go over and beyond the normal level of detail. For me personally it's the Bf-109.

When it come to Fw's the Revell series and the Zeuki Ta {to me } are the best. I've built the NF and F, but not even close to this in detail. I'm an OoB guy, very little aftermarket, but this, what you've built it magnificent. Beautiful detailing. The 801 and engine compartment I especially admire. Beautiful paint and weathering. Bravo & Congrats!

I built this kit with exactly all of the same aftermarket (the only thing I didn't do was the radio), and I can verify that it was a huge pain in the a** getting everything to fit together. Absolutely worth it, though.
The FW-190 was absolutely fantastic, well done, I am mainly a tank modeller but seem to watch more aircraft builds on TH-cam, you have yourself another subscrber, greeting and bedtwishes from Australia, keep safeand well.

Stunning build! Just found it ... I have a similiar project based on the second Hasegawa-mold.... But motorized with sound and riveted with MDC-riveter.. Only shame is that Hasegawa did not picture correct angle of wings, diameter of spinner, blades and landing gear as well as faulty canopy... I needed to correct all this... Revell did much better this time second to eduard. Brilliant build !!!!

Thank you very much. The Revell kit is really not very good. The Hasegawa kit is probably better. But there are more accessories for Revell.

I wrote about Fw 190 in 1/32 scale. Fw 190 in 1/48 scale is definitely the best from Eduard (NEW form).

Gyönyörű munka! Viszont azt sajnos meg kell hogy jegyezzem, és nem csak ezzel a videóval kapcsolatban, hogy ennyi készen kapható feljavítóval már nem akkora kihívás egy ilyen szintű modell elkészítése. Nincs már meg benne az a kihívás. Ettől függetlenül minden tiszteletem!
Köszönjük a figyelmet. Bonyolult konstrukció volt, de nincs más módja az Fw 190 ilyen részletesen történő megépítésének.

This is a most fabulous build. It just shows that you don't have to spend big money on a Tamiya 1/32 aircraft kit. Even though they haven't come out with a German subject yet, Tamiya milk their molds with the same damn kits all the time. If you can dress up a model with aftermarket like this, a masterpiece like this can be built on a $30 dollar kit instead of a $150 kit. Again this Fokewulf is a real jaw dropper!
Thank you very much for the compliment. Tamiya kits are at a very high level. If you add the price of the accessories used to the Revell kit, the final price will be around $ 200. And the construction is much more demanding. Unfortunately, Tamiya Fw 109 does not produce ...
Detail kits will always add up to more than even a pricey model surely?
Models improved detail sets are always more challenging to build. I prefer quality kits, such as Tamiya models in 1/32 scale. However, the selection is not very big.

I know this specific aircraft from a wartime photo which was made in January 1945. The aircraft probably belonged to Stab I/Schlachtgeschwader 2. I built a model of it in 1/72nd scale ("black 9", Hasegawa kit) many years ago. The real aircraft was probably finished in the standard RLM 74/75 scheme on the upper surfaces, not just RLM 75. The oilcooler ring was certainly not red, but either black or dark grey and the individual number "2" was black too. At the end of the war, most interior parts were left in bare metal, to save material...
Thank you all for your feedback. According to the latest findings, both the number and the front cover of the radiator were blue. I did not have this information years ago...
Absolutely incredible build! The build quality and detail is world class. One question: how do you feel the surface detail and scale outline of the model compare to the Hasegawa version?
Thank you all for your feedback. The Revell model has more details. The Hasegawa construction kit is, on the other hand, easier to assemble. So it is impossible to say which one is better. I still have a few Hasegawa and Revell kits at home...

Thank you very much. Yes, I made the springs. They are coiled weak copper wires of various diameters.

I used to do commissions. Nowdays I dont do commissions because it was hard for me to say goodbye to the models.
@@DetailsScaleModels That's funny, but I do understand. I build custom Italian motorcycles and have the same problem. The trick is to build the same thing twice...
I've tried that, but for projects like the Fw 190 it's very challenging.
Amazing work but I missed the details of the building . For example how did you do the weathering of the engine covers with the white paint? How did you paint the engine? With which method? Etc. But the result is amazing- congrtulations!
Thank you all for your feedback. I will describe all the procedures used in detail in the next videos. For example, in February I will release a video in which I will demonstrate the creation of winter camouflage on the Fi 156 in 1/32 scale.

I don't know how many hours I built the Fw 190. I build these detailed models for a year. I have more of them divided. In the meantime, I will build many simpler models.
I didn't see any details of the oil cooler around the front of the cowling. Was that missing, or did I just not see it.
The radiator is there, of course, including the connection. Unfortunately it's not much to see ...

How did you paint such a complex engine already glued together?
Exhausts painted individually. It can be removed. Others using masking tape and brush details. Many details eventually highlighted the wash and drybrush.
The coloring of the engines will be in one of my other videos.
What references did you use for the engine et al
Especially the publications Valliant and HT model. And also a lot of data, accumulated over many years.

少ない資料を手に入れては色々と凝った塗装に努めたな。
If the real plane looks same as this model, how come the guns donot damage the propeller when it fire? coz in this model it looks like the gun barrels are in range of the propeller radius.
It calls it synchronization. Weapons are blocked if there is a propeller blade in the path. Synchronization was already used on aircraft in World War I.

Zajímavá kamufláž. Co takhle udělat Doru? Tohle měřítko už je na muj vkus šileně velké. Celkově fakt dobrý.
Dora mě už tak nerajcuje, ale mám čtyři v 1/48 postavené (včetně Ta 152). Celkem mám doma 23 Fw 190 postavených a 15 ještě v krabicích... Něco ještě vymyslím.
@@DetailsScaleModels To mě se pravě Dora s řadovým mororem libí více než z hvězdičákem a pak se mi libi noční letadla s parohama. Nejvice Heinkel a pak Messoun 110. A po Švalbinách naprosto ujíždim
Teď pracuji na kokpitech pro Me 262 1/32 Revell, takže na ně také dojde... Určitě také bude "vousatý" Ju 88.
@@DetailsScaleModels To Ju-88 s těma malynkýma dipolkama do kříže. Hm a noční skvrnitá kamo nebo také hady jako u toho fokouše?Taky sem dělal letadýlka ale v 1/72 pouze štětečkem, mam je někde v karabici a pak plno neudělanýćh či v rozestavěnem stavu. Teď se placam s tančikama v 1/72, to je na štětec idealní. Snad se dokopu alespoň udělat nějaky fotky z toho co je udělano a dát to sem na jutubko. Ja rad lepim , samej scratchbuild a konverze, ale musel bych najmout nějakyho sprejera, co to za mnou bude střikat jak na běžicim páse!
@@pumelo1 No mě se donedávna líbily právě taky ,,krátké čumáky" ,teď jsem jako oddychovku (jinak stavím scratchbuilty obrněné techniky IDF v 1:72 ) postavil Doru taky v 72 kterou vyráběl Směr. A protože ta stavebnice je celkem hrozná tak nakonec moje předsevzetí udělat jí jako krabičku vzalo za své a o pár věcí ji vylepšil (tedy myslím si že vylepšil :-) ) . Při shánění podkladů jsem prolezl ,,tuny " fotek a nakonec se mi ,,dlouhej čumák " začal líbit snad víc.
Co se týká velikosti 1:32 taky jsem to považoval ze moc veliké ale nakonec jsem neodolal a přál si pod ,,větev " Fokáče v 1: 32 ve verzi Sturmblock kterej je pro mě naprosto nejhezčí verzí krátkých čumáků . A jako druhý model jsem chtěl He-219 Uhu taky v třicet dvojce a tady se trošku potvrdilo rčení ,,buď opatrný ve svých přáních protože by se ti mohla splnit " :-) Takže jsem ho dostal taky a zjistil s lehkou hrůzou že je to pořádný kus nábytku a bude problém vymyslet kam s ním :-) Ten Fokáč je proti tomu pohoda.
No a protože jsem hodně zatížený na německé noční stíhače a k tomu ještě na Bf-110 všeobecně, a od Edy mám postavené v 1:72 všechny tak jsem pojal plán pořídit si ještě jednu stavebnici v 1:32 a to 110 od Revellu a tu přesochat (jak se mi bude hodit trénink z IDF :-) ) ne verzi G 4 . .. . .
Tak, to by byly plány a teď na to všechno ještě najít čas :-)
Jinak videjko paráda, stavba krásná a určitě se ještě několikrát podívám pro inspiraci .i když já to budu mít jednodušší protože jsme vyznavač čistých linií a proto stavím modely až na podvozky pozavírané, jak říkám ,,těsně před startem "
