I have followed your channel since the beginning, love the crew especially Hillbilly. But adding Colton to the group has sent your channel to another level. His positivity is great…
Yes, the song is “867…” but Colton said “876” because he was counting Robbie’s labels on the wire. You should pay attention and know what you’re talking about before firing off a critique.
I suggest putting a "drip loop" on the wire before running through the grommet. Allow water to find a low spot and drip off instead of running down the wire to the grommet.
Man! Colton has really come into his own. I'm in awe of how much his natural good nature and kindness shows through as his confidence on camera has developed. This channel is now my first watch of the offroad big 5. Genuinely good content. .
Hats off Robby to your video editor. Your videos are really well put together. The multiple Robby's painting at the same time in the beginning is really cool. Good job video guru...
Robby , You and Matt should take Whiskers & Bombi to Eric's in Wisconsin next winter ! Eric heads to Utah for so many events . He should show his home turf to you guys !
This winter it wouldn't have been a challenge because....what snow? Lol Maybe 2 feet total for the entirety of the winter and it's melted as fast as it's fell
That whiskers, is a hurting, so much potential. Hopefully a restore is in its future. Its a bigger, nicer model. She just needs a restore job. Look forward to when it happens
Take it from someone with experience in overwhelming amounts of lights on a vehicle. The fewest switches possible - that do as much as possible - THE BETTER! A simple toggle switch that turns on "ALL" the front lights, one that turns on "ALL" the sides, left & right, and another that turns on "ALL" the rears will make your whole life better... Because having to flip/tap a dozen switches to turn on each individual light when you're in the middle of nowhere, working on something stressful, (like you're leaving the atmosphere in a spaceship) is cool for exactly a week, and then it makes you angry, and you'll be rewiring that whole rig to simple toggle switches soon after. Great video as always and can't wait to see it done nonetheless!
Robbie your wiring skills have really reached the next level. You 100% could give Chad's fab a run for his money. You are really stepping up your game. Fantastic job!
I was saying they Chad could not have done the job Robbie did much better if any better. Hence how Robbie could give Chad a run for his money. It's funny how the peanut gallery is there to always try to knock a man's accomplishments down. He did a fantastic job....anyone who thinks differently, great. My statement stands.
@@_Outraged Chad could not have used the pretty parts on this Amateur job any better. However my kids can put together pretty parts too. Chad's Fab takes wiring to a total different level.
COLTON, when your attaching a hook for towing or winching 21:49, always hook upwards because if the hook was to fail the energy will send the hook downwards into the earth / floor, when hooked down and the hook has a failure it will go airborne backwards towards the pulling pressure and anything in its flight path will have a bad day, either scenario is a bad thing but hooking up is the safest, PS, you are a great addition to the Layton crew and humble with it.....
I used to work at a van customization company, Rodco VT, inc. One of my jobs was custom wiring for lighting and stereo systems. I know how much fun you can have doing something most people can understand.
Raptor liner for the win!!! FYI, you can roll that raptor liner on, and it still ends up with a texture, albeit a smooth texture. But the smooth texture is nice because it washes off easier. Did it to the lower part of my truck, and fender flares.
Been watching Rory build your wrecker. Someone suggested the name "Stanley" from the Cars movie as a name for your wrecker. That's got my vote! Very cool and functional wrecker. With the Utube names evolved in that build it is extremely valuable. Priceless is a better word.
You might not have enough time to look at things but we were friends before he could say a few words, even in Brazil the people who were uploading to TH-cam when I was programed to watch them had videos that were two and one and a half years but they knew I was watching and made sure they eventually had a number of videos that were a day old to check on how was it possible that I was like there in Brazil but in style maybe to not chase their fans away because many people actually hated me for just being alive so to speak especially those who are not White you can say
You might run into issues with the lights on the roof. I foresee trees and branches ripping the lights off. Maybe some sort of thin tube cage/ domes will protect the lights.
Bullyliner is the bomb! That stuff is amazing, it’s a shame you had issues and had to revert to raptor coating I hope you use the bullyliner on another project and get to see how amazing it is.
At 20 minutes. Not sure what that fabric is you’re drilling through but with the age of Whiskers they used a lot of asbestos containing fabrics years ago for heat shields.
The Lights that they should be using are Supernova Altiq Lights and instead of the many little bit of Light up the little area that they are using now and Altiq has a TH-cam Channel and they are Very Super Bright And Very Long Distance Throws... and I didn't know about them until I was searching for Lights and they came up in the Algorithm and then I wish that I had the money to get them.... and then super expensive....
I had a suburban that had typical 20 year old faded paint. I Raptor lined the entire thing in 2 colors. Best decision I ever made. I get comments on it all the time. Rain cleans off all the dirt and color has held for 2 years now. Only thing I clean are the windows
Bully liner is amazing stuff. I used it on my bed and my frame. 2 years later still looks new. I did direct to metal. It's a former air force pilot that invented it. Easy clean up
I used Raptor liner in my ute, it held up in the 5 years I had it in the hot Australian sun, it took a punishment of having motorbikes, firewood and all sorts thrown on it.
hi Robby , the raptor lining has taken off in Australia , half the serios off road 4wd's are fully painted in it , its a rugged , durable coating which also covers alot of Sins
Really wish you could make whiskers look cool with a paint job and some cool seats maybe a little bit of power upgrades but the wiring is going to be huge help.
I can say, my first car was a 23 year old Nissan Maxima that ran with a rusted cylinder until the starter failed, twice. Best $500 dollar car for a beginner, put me in some scary, but safe, situations.
Whiskers is coming together. Can’t wait for it to go on its First Recovery/Rescue mission. Demri, the Boss, is cute, funny and and ups the video. Colton is a great addition to the crew. Hillbilly, kool , and Robby keeps the Ship running. Great video.🤙😎
I've never seen before, on the big flatbed tow truck, electric window heaters in the windshield, at the locations where the wipers would build up snow...Live in New England, I understand that build up...1st time ever seen, but great idea
I hope whiskers is going to get some more love from the crew. It looks like a rust bucket. You did such a good job on the bombie whiskers needs way more.
Thanks Cody for keeping that shop running with all these kids goofing off all the time!
I love the way your editor can multiply. Your painting is absolutely unreal.
I have followed your channel since the beginning, love the crew especially Hillbilly. But adding Colton to the group has sent your channel to another level. His positivity is great…
“Everything is sealed now”. Famous last words🤣
Colton goes: ” 8, 7, 6” and Hillbilly comes out with 🎶five-three-oh-nine🎶 Love it!
Ahh Tommy Tutone. Great song.
The song is 8-6-7.
Yes, the song is “867…” but Colton said “876” because he was counting Robbie’s labels on the wire. You should pay attention and know what you’re talking about before firing off a critique.

A little dab of silicone when installed or even later will seal it too.
@@georgevindo Great suggestion.I was thinking the same about all the bolts for the mounts too.
@@georgevindo Better is to use nylon cable glands.
Man! Colton has really come into his own. I'm in awe of how much his natural good nature and kindness shows through as his confidence on camera has developed. This channel is now my first watch of the offroad big 5. Genuinely good content.
.
Yes, he sure is a fun guy. Cody is very good in front of the camera as well.
The banter back and forth is what makes the show......nice.
love listening to Hilly billy explain things! super talented mechanic, just tongue tied , reminds me of myself, listen to what i mean, not what i say!
Hillbilly is a natural mechanic.
I really appreciate the effort he puts into it - ain't easy, but he's gonna do it anyway. Good man, there.
Colton is one of the best additions, just love is positive outlook. i would hire home based off that positivity
Hats off Robby to your video editor. Your videos are really well put together. The multiple Robby's painting at the same time in the beginning is really cool. Good job video guru...
Totally agree!
Robby ,
You and Matt should take Whiskers & Bombi to Eric's in Wisconsin next winter ! Eric heads to Utah for so many events . He should show his home turf to you guys !
Or get Rory and take their wreckers up there to have some mini games where it's a little more fair for Eric.
The snow cat recovery challenge
They all ant to go out to Eric.
That would be pretty cool to see them up where there are trees and mud.
This winter it wouldn't have been a challenge because....what snow? Lol
Maybe 2 feet total for the entirety of the winter and it's melted as fast as it's fell
I love that Colton shows us Bombi. He's a sweetheart! ❤
It's his cat 🐈 at this point 😂
And Bombi did say something to us, purr, purr, mreow?
That whiskers, is a hurting, so much potential. Hopefully a restore is in its future. Its a bigger, nicer model. She just needs a restore job. Look forward to when it happens
I'm hoping Robbie will give it the same treatment he gave Matt's Bombi.

Wiskers needs to be "Robby" Blue with Silver Tiger Stripes.
The boss Demri needs to be in more videos. She has the cutest giggles .❤❤❤
Finally Whiskers gets some love❤
WHAT????? No Solder Sticks for all those splices? Thank you for taking us along! Robby you have a beautiful family, God Bless.
Robbie your wiring skills have really reached the next level. You 100% could give Chad's fab a run for his money. You are really stepping up your game. Fantastic job!
Robbie is getting good but Chad is on a whole nother level.
Wiring an entire vehicle from scratch is completely different from adding pigtails, extending wires or replacing wire for wire.
Robbie is still an amateur. He is just using pretty parts. His wiring skills are not comparable to Bishop Carter.
I was saying they Chad could not have done the job Robbie did much better if any better. Hence how Robbie could give Chad a run for his money. I must say Mrs.Boss looks like she gets younger Robby is a lucky man to have a wife that stays young
I just hope you understand the skill involved in the multi-Robby edits. They are way cool and your editors are rock stars.
Yeah what an amazing composition to open the video with! Great work by the editor.
To all:CONGRATULATIONS, to you all have done an amazing job on the snowcat! Thank you for sharing! 👍 😊
I hope you get some snow recoveries for Wiskers but nothing dangerous. As well, your kids are precious. Take care of yourself for them.
Gotta love the multiple Robby's working together!
Nice to see Cody again. He’s a good guy and no doubt a great asset for Robby.
I used to work at a van customization company, Rodco VT, inc. One of my jobs was custom wiring for lighting and stereo systems. I know how much fun you can have doing something most people can understand.
I love how Robbie, is always calm and collected when he’s at a job.
Keep up the good work 👍🇺🇸
My Dad use to say, "Do something you love, and never work a day in your life", Robbie clearly loves what he does.
I love the multiple Robbie’s in the spray booth. It reminds me of the 80’s or 90’s movie multiplicity
What amazes me in that opening sequence is that you never get in your own way… that is the sign of a true professional. LOL
Raptor liner for the win!!! FYI, you can roll that raptor liner on, and it still ends up with a texture, albeit a smooth texture. But the smooth texture is nice because it washes off easier. Did it to the lower part of my truck, and fender flares.

Love the multiple painter effect
the roof turned out looking good, you should raptor line the whole thing . do the sides layton blue with a grey stripe just like your work shirts
The hello and a small laugh from Linc made my day, I remember when I would do that, thanks for letting us watch
I am that uncle he likes teasing

I'm a catdad so seeing Bombi warm and plump makes this guy smile. Thanks for taking him in.
7:50 the only one giving you a hard time Robby, was Robby 😂
Upol makes tintable raptor liner, so the roof could have been blue. I'm so glad Matt introduced us to you 😊
Great editing on your videos. Specially the spray booth scenes.
See how happy those kids are you can tell Roby and his wife are Good parents
Harley is Black & Orange, surprised Hillbilly missed this.
Give Whiskers the Moor Bombii treatment 👍 you're halfway there with all the upgrades!
You might run into issues with the lights on the roof. I foresee trees and branches ripping the lights off. Maybe some sort of thin tube cage/ domes will protect the lights.
Robby , Sir , I must say that you have the prettiest boss than all of the other wrecker services !
Man, the roof all sealed, the lights all wired up and working, you guys are ready to go to work with it. Nice job. Thanks for the video.
Bullyliner is the bomb! That stuff is amazing, it’s a shame you had issues and had to revert to raptor coating I hope you use the bullyliner on another project and get to see how amazing it is.
Thanks for the feedback Tim
Made in Australia is good!! Please set up shipping for your merch to Aus we're keen to support you too.
At 20 minutes. Not sure what that fabric is you’re drilling through but with the age of Whiskers they used a lot of asbestos containing fabrics years ago for heat shields.
Maybe some 270 degree servos for the lights mounted on the corners? Up, down, cover at least 270 degrees for spotting whatever you need to light.

I'm impressed how you are able to clone yourself when you are spraying!
don't mess with Chad. he is the king of wiring. but your pretty good too.
I also enjoy wiring, glad to be in good company. Cheers!!
A master switch on the battery might be a good idea on Whiskers.
I hope Robby paints that snow cat someday .
Just want to take a moment to give you some props on those painting montages with the slow zooms and the matting out; they look great!
Why make the wiring nice the first time when you can just waste time reworking it 🤪😀 Thanks guys for sharing! Have a great week!
Man. I was so excited to see hillbilly drive that bronk* up the mountain. I'm a Chevy guy but that was awesome congrats to both of y'all
Bully liner is amazing stuff. I used it on my bed and my frame. 2 years later still looks new. I did direct to metal. It's a former air force pilot that invented it. Easy clean up
Great to hear that Shawn
Are you going to put new glass in whiskers
I was watching the Benny Hill show last night, and I feel that Robbie has a resemblance to the main character
The boss is looking mighty fine these days! We can see the weight loss. Keep on keeping on! You're doing a fantastic job
I need to watch the old video again
Always interested in seeing how others wire up their vehicles.
I love that you and Matt post back to back! It gives me an hour plus of pure entertainment!!!🏁🏁🏁💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Fab Rats too. I watch all 3. Robby comes in 1st, then Paul comes in, then MORR. Great little coffee time!!
Rivnut the bracket for the corner light.
I just installed a new control system in our factory, spent 2 full weeks wiring every day for 12 hours. Still love wiring lol.
ROBBIE, you can use a trailer wiring junction box for all the lighting wiring...
I’m glad you are good at wiring. I suck at it 😊
I used Raptor liner in my ute, it held up in the 5 years I had it in the hot Australian sun, it took a punishment of having motorbikes, firewood and all sorts thrown on it.
It was good seeing Cody in the vids again! I was hoping he was gonna be a regular 🤷♂️🤷♂️😁😁😁
I don't need to watch your channel,...... but it helps! I love it !
hi Robby , the raptor lining has taken off in Australia , half the serios off road 4wd's are fully painted in it , its a rugged , durable coating which also covers alot of Sins
Nice job on the electrical work and the roof, now it needs to be painted and have all of the broken glass replaced.
that rapter works pretty good, I like it and you can get untinted and tint it any color you want
Whiskers needs a complete paint job, great video 👍🇺🇲
00:29 dude that's a cool video affect !
Half moon spacer is called a muffler clamp Colton. Come on man!!
Haha. You are a nice addition to the team.
Colton has gained confidence and ease in front of the camera, well done.
Robbies wiring skills are greatly improved.
When summer comes, Bobbi, will need to be painted.. inside and outside.. The roof looks great..
This is the second snow cat video ill watch today and i live no where near snow.
4wd 24/7 uses Raptor on their bar work… it holds up very well.
Really wish you could make whiskers look cool with a paint job and some cool seats maybe a little bit of power upgrades but the wiring is going to be huge help.

Robby needs to get one of those new laser rust remover machine, it really cleans up parts really nice
World couldn't put up with two three or four Robby Layton's 😂
It's the blow tack and static man himself lol..
BTS is TCB
I used bully liner on a truck frame I stripped down and sprayed for off road it's held up to the use and abuse very well.
Great to hear that
I just bought a 1963 chevy c 10 sw with a 454 big block it was some one hot rod back in the 90s in min west city oklahoma I got it running today
I've never seen before, on the big flatbed tow truck, electric window heaters in the windshield, at the locations where the wipers would build up snow...Live in New England, I understand that build up...1st time ever seen, but great idea

I think 💭 they could simply "GLOSS SAUCE" her now with the Rhino 🦏 Roof and she'd look 👀 Awesome 👏 😎
Just so you know Robby.. Wait, wait. IT IS TOMORROW! I LOVE THIS SHOW. IT'S SUCH A JOY TO WATCH.
Gotta love Cody. Quietly competent, and not here for the glory.
I like the black raptor finish. I did my entire 94 12v in it. It's held up surprisingly well. Love the videos!! 💯👍
I hope you put in some onside lights eazier to find things inside. HAVE A GREAT DAY!
painting cars is so easy! ya right!!
Whiskers is finally going back to work!!! YEA!!! Looking forward to seeing it in action!! Good job!!
Very cool.. putting the work in to make it an official fleet vehicle 👍😎✊
