- One of the most expensive and exuberant writing instruments of the Pen Venture inventory is this Namiki - Emperor Goldfish Maki-e, a jaw dropping fountain pen, pained by urushi artist Seiki Chida and showcasing multiple gracious swimming goldfish in a whole pond scenery. Equipped with a Namiki number 50 18k-gold nib that makes the whole experience more intriguing once you get it writing on the paper.

My grail pen. I have seen this pen at the DC show, and can say that your video comes closer to showing the beauty of this pen than any photos or video I have seen. Thank you, Emy.
Hey Jim - happy to know this one is singing to you 😃 thank you for the feedback - means everything to me knowing I can bring a great perspective on the intriguing details on this one
Absolutely incredible content ❤

we do our best to make justice for these pieces
O adevărată operă de artă. Poate cândva voi cumpăra unul.
Multumesc :D este intradevar o opera de arta
Art 🎨 🖼
art indeed :D
Stupendous. Thank you, Emy, for the leisurely look at this magnificent objet d'art. If ever I get a pen remotely like this, it truly will be to support the arts community. And to write with it, of course!
Thank you for the kind words - it’s my pleasure to showcase these treasures with you all - 100% it must be a functional piece and to be enjoyed it must be put to work
You're speaking my language with this pen. Wow! I didn't appreciate before the transparency of the fins; thanks for highlighting that. You said, though, that this may be your 2nd favorite Namiki - what's #1?
Glad you enjoyed it my friend! That sort of details are so minute and one must see this in person or up close in order to catch these details. Hehe.... my ultimate namiki I think would be a dragon - ether the maki-e or chinkin
@@pen.venture Ha! Yup. those two are the ones on my long term radar as well.
Buenas tardes desde España. Maravillosa estilográfica
Good afternoon from Romania my friend - thank you
Namiki Emperors fountain pens tends to be the super duper expensive pens and the extremely unaffordable ones too especially if they’re in a art style form. When it comes to price compared to a M1000 from Pelikan it’s literally no comparison at all. The Namiki Emperor would still be considerably much more expensive than a M1000.
yes indeed these pens can go up a lot... but lets reflect, the M1000 is a pen made of many materials (plastic and/or celluloid acetate? - I think) but not ebonite, the M1000 has a nib which is half in size of the Namiki nib, the M1000 sports sometimes urushi and artwork but that makes it 5000+ eur pen... and the writing experience is very different (not in any case a downgrade from the namiki ,but different) ... the sheer size of Emperor is reflected more when it comes to art form (bigger pen, more surface to paint)
Namiki emperor vermilion and Namiki gold fish maki-e Two pen nib size equal...?
relative the same as size, just a little alternated shape :D
Please review Namiki emperor treasure
We review and showcase pens that we can acquire for our inventory :D
Sorry if I am repeating myself - but for me it is really an important question - where did you study this cursive/calligraphy writing? Where can I study it too?? 😍
just like I told you :D I watched a lot of videos on TH-cam and took time to practice and "copy" what I've seen others doing :D
Nice pen...I have one...just make sure you don't pay anything close to MSRP,.....market price is closer to $8k
Thank you for your feedback - the number you mentioned + is the cost of acquisition from Namiki of this pen , if someone is advertising selling one as new/close to new for that amount - I would strongly advise anyone to not go like this - is like I wouldn’t pick my Rolex if it’s selling at 50% discount is exactly how I wouldn’t proceed with such a pen
@@pen.venturedepends on the market, in Japan they sell for 7-8k usd. In the us they retail for double
