GO ON GIRL!!!! Happy memories of my old explorer i had to sell back in 1994 when my business went bust. 😪 i think he needs different tyres on that or new ones! Like mine not much tread left of the old sand tyres! Proper job though she got out!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😂👍🏻🇬🇧

The Dinky Toy model of that still resides in my collection, must have been around 1958-9 it was described as a Tank Recovery Vehicle to go with my Centurion Tank and Transporter (still got those too!
Those are tyres that will have an almost impossible job of supplying traction in those conditions first time.

Trying to get out of the hole the Scammell was 6x3 or 6x4 at best, diff locks would have made a big difference, but he got clear in the end, well done.

if you don't first succeed then try and try again, and i've only seen three of these amazing power machines two was back in the 60s at an army show and the other one in the 90s at at a recovery firm.

Shouldnt you put tracks on both pairs of rear wheels on such terrain?

Why are not the rear axles "locked" and spinning when the front axle is spinning? My circa 1967 US Army Deuce in Vietnam had a lock up selector that would lock all 6 wheels, combined with the low range low gear for amazing crawling.

this is a lot older than a 1967 truck haha diff locks wouldn't even have been a thing when this old girl was built

A 6 cylinder Gardner, natural aspiration, could be 8 or 10 liter engine
