    I just finishing balancing out eight of the Power Queen batteries. I think this format is the next phase in our battery evolution. I like Power Queens service as well. Good communication

    Great review Brad

    Hey guys! Roland just did a fantastic job tearing this battery down so check his video if you're interested in such: th-cam.com/video/sUO7YmEpkYA/w-d-xo.html Spoiler, it's the same as the Redodo, and LiTime Mini internally.

    mini is the new hot product .. i feel like this should of came out like years ago for the price and weight of it is really good compare to building you own ...looks like ill just buy this instead of building my own ..saves me time and money..DIY will cost as much or bit more depending on your needs but this is more than enough specs for most people needs plus no one really has charger can do 100amps.. i have a icharger in dual mode can do peek 72amps but i never use that much amps to charge thats so over kill but nice to have when i go very big system later

      I was thinking the same thing. Mine's for RV use and so 4 of these in series (48V) is more than enough, take up a lot less space and weigh less. Who can complain?

    good review as allways, eventhough its most likely the same as the li time and redodo, the gremlins in my brain are really wanting to see a teardown just so theres 100% no doubt its identical.

    Is there a reason why these mini batts can only charge @ 20A vs 100A with regular 100AH LFP batts?

  • @Golfreak
    @Golfreak ปีที่แล้ว

    These new "mini" 100ah Lifepo4 uses pouch cells. The advantages are lighter and smaller. As long as longevity, I don't know. I suppose if they pack these pouch cells properly, they will last just as long as the prismatic cells.

    Question! Can these new mini style batteries be used in series in a 48 volt golf cart?

    • @BradCagle
      @BradCagle  ปีที่แล้ว

      They can be used up to 4 in series for 48v. Now I'm not sure the BMS can handle the acceleration surge requirements of a golf cart. You might ask power queen, or the other if they recommend this.

    I have some questions for anyone that knows more about these batteries than I do I have zero experience I’ve had Solid lead acid golf cart batteries 6 V wired up for 12 volt I usually run about four of them 2 strings.I have thought about getting a 200 amp hours redodo or maybe power queen something along those lines however I am kind of scared to purchase these batteries because I have read where people were using them and something happened and the batteries are ruined maybe the charge controller didn’t do something right maybe the inverter didn’t do something right I also understand I would have to have a special inverter? I would be running a 12 V system I think I may end up going with Victron blue Solar. as far as these new lithium batteries are concerned I don’t know how to charge them I don’t know what charger to get I understand you have to charge them and recharge them and charge them again or something like that? Another question is what these batteries species to have in my house? And can I get at least 95% of the rated 200 amp hours out of a 200 amp hour power queen Battery?

    • @BradCagle
      @BradCagle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, I've had probably close to 30 of these batteries, and I've only had a problem with one that had a faulty BMS. You don't need a special inverter. Also a Victron MPPT is a great choice, I would recommend the SmartSolar over the BlueSolar version. Watch my video here th-cam.com/video/Q5GYv2iU5mk/w-d-xo.html for a simple build with a Victron MPPT. I show you how to setup the charge controller. Also the Victron has low temp protection so it will not charge your batteries if it's too cold. Freezing temp charging is what can kill these, the victron will prevent this,

    Have you ever run into a scenario of getting voltage spikes when the lifepo4 battery is full while running a inverter running at about 100w.

    • @BradCagle
      @BradCagle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Voltage spikes where? on the AC side, or DC side?

    • @JMACK1
      @JMACK1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BradCagle on the dc side inverter and solar chargers go into high voltage disconnect then reset and repeat a couple times.

    • @BradCagle
      @BradCagle  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JMACK1 Maybe your battery is going into protect. This can happen if one or more cells are too high. You might try lowering the charge voltage a bit to see if that helps.
