i havent been to a single touchless car wash that actually does a good job. your car basically needs to be clean to go in these things. like pollen or road dust the day after a proper hand wash
I think there’s a lot of variation based on the chemistry. Our D&S IQ 2.0 does a great job, we do a double pass of pre soak even on the cheapest wash and it makes a world of difference. But a full detail is always going to be better etc
Touch free works best with frequent washers. You can only put the chemicals on so strong and it be safe for all vehicles. . I tell customers if they wash less than three times a month to use friction wash.
She's doing her best! Some of the short comings are operator error, for example the boom wasn't dropping low enough to get below the trunk lid on lower sedans. Bizarrely the boom down is set using seconds rather than inches / percent of travel etc. I'll get an opening day video once we've chased out the remaining gremlin
Good video. Wizards are tanks. First gen was ok but Coleman no longer really supports them. The 2.0 has many great improvements (except tri foam)and you can find them used for 10K. Recirculating presoak is an option that purges the line with heated product and dumps the cold presoak in the line back in the tank. If your presoak doesn't have a working tank heater it's useless.
Having the customer have to navigate between the brick pillars makes my anxiety go through the roof. It's been my experience that customers have trouble driving... everything... everywhere. I had a guy drive over the tire guides, and one drive right into the corner of my building.... and one that started leaving the automatic mid cycle, and couldn't figure out why their car was still covered in soap.
There's something about the rails on the water wizard that make me uncomfortable. Our IQ 2.0 doesnt have those so you just thread the needle yourself. I guess that's a higher risk for customers crashing into it. But that's what cameras and insurance are for 😬

@@BayouBrit That's how my HydroSpray units operate.... very time consuming to fine tune that in... once you do though, it works pretty well!
