I spent 3 days trying to get rid of that cog when converting my 2wd stampedes to brushless. Swapping esc’s motors, dicking with programers.. I finally watched one of those videos by RC Bill NYE science guy who gave a 6 hour explanation LOL. And the basic answer was …. Sensored esc’s always know what resting position the motor is in so when it takes off it is Smoother and sensorless esc’s do not Know what position a resting motor is in thus causing it to “cog” around looking for a starting point. I wish I had saved that 3 days of torture and found this quick video becuase you give a great explanation of it and kept it simple. Amazing video man.
I understand for sure the new 2928 castle sensored coke can motor I put in my Kraton 8s the sensored broke on a hard landing and caused all kinds of issue so for bashing definitely non sensored I ended up unplugging it and it ran fine again but pulled all my diffs apart thinking I broke a gear lmao 🤣 great info as always appreciate the knowledge 💯💯👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sensored gives high torque with low rpm, for if you like climbing things like the crawler Like the vid you go slow and still can climb it, and it works more when you drive slow and climb
Hey mark. Hope you and family are doing well. That was a good way to show that. Deep down inside I wanted to see yea slip on the power and clear the fence behind the ramp. Lol
Yes definitely. You need a smooth power transmission over obstacles in crawling. Sensorless is for bashing since the hard landings can damage the sensored connection from motor to the esc.
Love your videos lots of information, 1 question for you, I just got the Losi ten scte 3.0 and I have to get a motor and esc for it, what do you think I should go with, it calls for a 550, sensored or sensorless, I am going to race the truck not bash it Thanks for your help
What runtime do you get on that 7200 mah in the 1/8? That should obviously get you a 5 minute race. Is the 7200 for longer races? What's the longest race a 7200 could go?
I personally love the slash because it is so versatile and upgrade able. When you understand the hobby better you can get a brushless which is faster but harder to control. Hope this helps!!
If you use a sensorless brushlessin a crawler it works finde because of the Overall low speed gearing. The Motor runs high rpm but the car goes smooth at los speed. But if you use it for professionell racing its better with a sensor.
Hey man. I'm reaaaally wanting to try the Spektrum Firma stuff for racing just because it seems so dead simple. How do you feel about the Spektrum Firma stuff specifically for racing?
Oh crap, this is me now, when you realize you should have watched more videos before buying upgrades for you rc that Haven't come yet. I should have got the sensored one.. crap

Either way your demonstration was successful I don't know a lot about electric cars but I appreciate your videos and your effort that you put forth.
Sensored motor = bottom-end smoothless. Straight and to the point. Thanks!
Best simple explanation I’ve found thanks my man!

That a fantastic example
Great video. Next is a overview of your TRD.
Thanks Mark
Thanks. I love simple explanations! (With pictures 😉)

Wow very nice cars.
Thx for the information
Thanks Mark!
Wat is your battery set up? 🔥
GREAT TUTORIAL MSM 🤙. SMASHED !!!!!!!! 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Learn something everyday, I never even knew there was sensored systems. I can see the advantage in crawling.
Thanks for that.
I love your videos
Hey mark. Hope you and family are doing well. That was a good way to show that. Deep down inside I wanted to see yea slip on the power and clear the fence behind the ramp. Lol
Sensor less and bash it! Sensored bad ass for track racing. Depends on what your doing I guess? GREAT VIDEO!
So if I want a brushless crawler, better to have a sensored system?
Yes definitely. You need a smooth power transmission over obstacles in crawling. Sensorless is for bashing since the hard landings can damage the sensored connection from motor to the esc.
Great explanation mate!!!!! 😊🤙🇦🇺🍻
Can you turn the Traxxas this all wheel drive into a rock climber yes or no I was just wondering
No vid on that ramp build?
Aw without seeing 20 secs, I already know where ur goin, so jealous

Love your vids, keep it up
So my castle xlx2 1100kv combo will run faster without the sensors wire connected? 🤔
Thank you for a get to the point video..
Best motor for bucks for e revo 2.0 without having to change a bunch of the cables???

I put mine on 2s( sensorless) and it’s as smooth as a roller
How can I stop or improve cogging, senton 3s blx
What would you recommend as a first car?
I personally love the slash because it is so versatile and upgrade able. When you understand the hobby better you can get a brushless which is faster but harder to control. Hope this helps!!
Definitely a traxxas slash 2wd or 4wd. I put links in my description ;)
I really liked the Redcat racing cyclone xb10 but it was discontinued in 2018
Arrma big rock is a great inexpensive entry also👍

Hey man. I'm reaaaally wanting to try the Spektrum Firma stuff for racing just because it seems so dead simple. How do you feel about the Spektrum Firma stuff specifically for racing?
I've run spektrum firma in my trucks for the past year and a half. Never had a single issue.
What I don't get is how come Castle was one of the main companies that make them and not a lot of others do
You should try an rc plane!
🤘🍻🤘
All of my cars have sensored motors
Was up mark
I the first peps
Mark you should get back into racing nitro
I'm actually selling my e revo because I had so many problems with it
How much are you selling it for?
@@2wyldrc195 $650 with 2x3s 5000mAh and controller and two bodies and it's basically brand-new only been drove a few times
And I will post it on mecari selling app
WHOOT WHOOT! Got the 100th LIKE SMASH!!
Racing sensored/ Bashing sensorless
The virgin sensored chad sensorless
I also think a sensorless runs significantly cooler and there is less to go wrong.
no Coggin that's all you had to say
i lost my 6cell e-maxx in a lake trying out my paddle tires. $1100 mistake :(
Nitro Prime lol... damn that really sucks. Did they work?
Honest question bro, what made u decide to make 1100$ ride on water when its not truly made for it.
Lol damn
Oh crap, this is me now, when you realize you should have watched more videos before buying upgrades for you rc that Haven't come yet. I should have got the sensored one.. crap
