🐝 Checking on more mini mating nucs and the Apimaye 4 way hive. Orara Valley Honey March 2024.

🐝 In this video, I check on the progress of mini mating nucs made up about a week ago.
🐝 Most of the nucs had queens removed from poorly performing hives, which were requeened with ripe queen cells.
🐝 They were suffering a little due to robbing.
🐝 Interestingly two of the mini nucs that had ripe queen cells introduced were doing much better than the nucs that had laying queen introduced.
🐝 We also looked at the 4-way Apimaye queen mating hive, which I am hoping to use for overwintering queens.
