Just finished up doing this on my black 18 reg cab. Was nervous to attempt but super stoked how it came out. The 18-20 trucks have 3 bulbs with the reverse in the center, so even though it is not as bright as stock It’s still just fine and brighter than this truck shown here. Thanks for the vid homies!
Perfect timing!! Finally ordered new headlights, but HATE all aftermarket tail lights! But was looking at spray tinting, but think this may get the look I'm going for!
Time to black out those sidesteps and bumpers. If you “scuff” them up with a flap disc and a grinder, raptor liner sticks amazingly. Doesn’t chip with rocks. Cleans easy. Easy to apply. And the texture looks great. Even did my factory chrome grill with it and holds up amazing. Way better than paint.
No problem. Don’t try other brands of Bedliner. Have done those and they won’t stick. But raptor liner is another level. Can buy a tintable version and mix in the body color if you want
Hey do you have Instagram? I can dm you night pics! I wish I would have included a better before and after as well as night shots. Follow me on Instagram or send me your email. My Instagram is @abrianlewisvlog
It works on the 2021 but sad to say I didn’t read the “fine print” about not doing this if you you have Blind Spot Sensors. 😫… twilights look great but now my BS sensors don’t work.
How visible is the chrome strip where the lense is clear? Hard to tell how dark these really are. Maybe add in some daylight shots outside, or post on instagram. Also did the degreaser hurt the 3rd brake light foam seal?
Degreaser did not hurt any part of 3rd brake light. Yeah the video or pics really don’t do it justice. They look phenomenal in person. I’ll try to get some day light outside shots. Dm me on Instagram tomorrow. I’ll get some.

Awesome! Thanks for watching man! Glad yours turned out great!
Beginning this like right now. Im my chrome delete rampage as well on my 2018. Thanks for the vid and content
Awesome 😎 good luck with it man!
Super stoked to do this, Excellent vid fellas, I was going to wrap them but Fuck that going to the Zep!. Much love , Dan "The total package" Dillon.

Yes I definitely reccomend this method! Not only looks great but is the cheapest option. I'm about to do this on my Focus ST.

@@tannerthuringer6272 did you try the body color or just black?
@@ABrianLewisVlog I just did black. But I’ve seen great results with color. Just browse some forums online.
@@tannerthuringer6272 will do thank you 😊
Sweet! I can’t stand the white stripe on mine. Was it too dark once finished? Wish we had some better evening after pics. Thanks.

Does it affect the illumination, or did you go LED?
Can you do this to the headlights as well? I’m driving a ‘14 f150 5.0
I’m almost positive you can. We are eventually going to try it.
Anyone try the headlights?
Not bad at all, noticed this vid a few years old, some guys just blacking them out too hard and risk getting pulled over, I like the subtle blackout
It’s a better option in my opinion. Still looks good till this day!
Wow right on, shout out from SoCal👍😎
Did the truck pass inspection? Worried about doing this and it fails state inspection
In the state I live in we don’t have any kind of inspection.
@@ABrianLewisVlog
Nice must move there
@@miked6523 lol good ol state of Kentucky.
Wow! Let me say that backwards, woW! Do you think this would work for the ‘22 Mave?
More than likely the same material so yes!
I’m giving it a go.
This does work, one tail light is more stubborn than the other. But it looks great.
I like the Chrome look personally I know that everyone else goes with blackout look, but I guess I still think chrome is still cool.
Nothing wrong with that
Would this work on headlights as well?
Not sure! I’m pretty positive we’re gonna do a video on that soon! I’ll let you know.
Do the factory bulbs work after doing this or do you need to put led bulbs in afterwords?
Factory bulbs
Jala también para las headlights?
Hard to tell...did it lighten the chrome 'ring' outline around the taillight too?
I dunno if it did or without the chrome you just see it better.
Hmm.. think looks pretty cool .. accually
How is this holding up and do you regret it? I have a 2020 f150 with aftermark led ligh bulbs I'm thinking of doing this too.
Holding up great and no regrets! I’m about to do my focus as well.
I need someone to try this in some headlights too lol
One tail light turned out amazing within 5 minutes. The other one has been soaking for over an hour and won't eat off part of the chrome. Ugh lol
@@RustyBurch keep shaking and moving around. Try adding fresh Zepp as well!
How do they look with the lights on in the daytime?
Still very visible and bright.
Distilled water after rinsing with hose. Won't be water spots from minerals..
Nice thanks for the tip!
Did you ever do the headlights?
Not yet lol 😆
Wouldn’t this weaken the glue holding them together? That’s how they’re sealed.
No that I’m aware of. No issues so far. We will do a 6 month update video.
No, they're friction welded
How’d it do two years later?
@jordigomez7017 still looks just as good as the day we did them!
Do you think this would’ve removed the chrome on your door handles or on your front and rear Ford emblems?
Worth a shot! I dunno if it would or not.
Why would you want to?
Chromes dead Jeff
@@ABrianLewisVlog you do realize the chrome door handles are part of an upgraded appearance package which costs extra when you order the truck right?
@@AxelsPokedex I’m sure some people like that. We didn’t order this truck new. We prefer anything but chrome.
ABOUT AS FIRE AS A FORD EFFIN RANGER BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
That’s what I was thinking 🤔
Any Condensation build up inside the Lens?
None its been well over a year now too.
Mine has the bliss sensors. Guess I am out of luck.
Fire........Super nice!
Thanks my dude 🙂
Hi…will it work on 2021 f150 tail light?
Someone recently commented on this video and said it did not work. But I’m not sure if they used the right stuff, let it sit long enough, etc..
It works on the 2021 but sad to say I didn’t read the “fine print” about not doing this if you you have Blind Spot Sensors. 😫… twilights look great but now my BS sensors don’t work.
brilliant!
You need to use distilled water for rinse or you'll get water spotting
I’ll do that next time. Thanks for the tip!
What year is this truck?
2016
Looks dope 🔥🔥🔥
For sure! Turned out good!

🔥🔥🤤
That is sweet. Maybe you can dump a bunch of rice in to absorb all the moisture??
Heat gun did the trick and a little sunlight!
Nice garage, paint the floor.
I plan on it one day and the lower half of the wall is getting painted gray
Did not work on a 2021
Really? Didn’t eat away any of it?
@@ABrianLewisVlog none of it... left or in for an hour with zero effect
That’s wild they must have used different chrome plating
Thanks for doing it! Sad it didn’t work
Worked on my 2020💪
If only the headlights were that easy to remove lol
agreed lol not a fun time
So washing the truck with zep is probably a bad idea
Lmao for the chrome plated parts of the vehicle yes.
@@ABrianLewisVlog 🤣😂
Looks good! Sent you an email.
I’ll ask Stephen to send me some pictures. Thanks for watching.
Makes video on how to make your taillights darker, then talks about upgrading to led bulbs so his taillights are brighter…
Just trying to delete this chrome homie
Yeah and? What’s your point?
Think you post enough adds?? Jeez oh man..
