I'm stoked for the upgrading enclosures arc of The Dark Den! Been watching since your apartment days and it's been really cool to get to see such a cool collection and NOT have to do all the work lmao I bet you're gonna get really good at building cool enclosures by the time you do everything you already have, I look forwards to watching your progression!
Here is a trick for better texture and appearance for the background. After covering the Styrofoam with the material, dab the surface with an item such as, saran wrap, rock, bark or anything with a texture you like. After it dries, you'll be left with any texture you want and all you need is to paint. Hope this helps. Love your videos 👍
You could try to do backgrounds with hypertufa. Depending on the mixture it looks more like stone or more like Soil. You can use Cocofibers instead of peat.
Really nice to see more focus on upgrading enclosures for animals you currently have :) Just thought I'd mention it might be easier to use something like pond filter foam for your drainage layers so that they don't get damaged by Ts burrowing. Also nice to see sand for texture again lol
I adore how it looks! Maybe add beside cork bark some bromeliads and embed some stones or crystals in the background I think that would look awesome protruding from it, try to experiment with gravel too, if you want to I can send you some interesting rocks that I;ve collected over the years let me know
I like the way EverEvolvingExotics does backgrounds. It's super cheap and easy. He uses spray foam and he just tosses substrate, completely dry substrate, onto the wet foam. Wham bam thank you ma'am
Hey, this background you currently don't like can be painted brown to make it look like a cliff or a tree trunk. i think it would look better than black. Also, i don't know if you have time but you could time lapse the tarantula exploring the new enclosure. Since it's going to be needing webs and learning where everything is, it's going to be more active than previously.
"we can have a nice look at the fuzz.". It's the quote of the day. The enclosure and tarantula is beautiful. Where is the sand from for this enclosure?
What about using bark cut in half for the background placed horizontally then the tarantula could go behind and you have another way to view if they use it for a hide
I love your energy! I wish I could meet you someday. I know you won’t come back to hamm show but you should consider Nijmegen or Houten, those are good shows with better vibes.
How practical the other enclosures are holding the lid.... I was thinking how poorly designed the lids are. Hopefully no clumsy accidents enclosures all over 😅
Always brazilian tarantulas. Im not saying its your fault, but its funny how they keep prohibited for we in brazil to create them, and the tarantulas end up being sold for the exterior kkk. Doesnt make any sense, sad to see our native species getting exported
I agree with you, Petko. The background looks MUCH better, along with the sand, for the texture! Have a great week!
She is stunning 😍 and so is her new enclosure
You want to see my Egg Sack?
She’s super huge I’ve been a fan since 2018 love your videos man
Enclosure builds and rehousing are my favorite videos.
love the new back grounds and holy I wasn't expect her to be so gentle , and that pose on the old tank was like "NO I don't wanna go" LOL
The grammostola pulchra looks awesome. Bought one last summer. Around 1,5 years old and greyish. Can't wait for her to get that black shine
I like your idea with the backgrounds. The best of both worlds. Looks amazing. And isn't she a chill T? Beautiful😍
Wow, that background looks great. Nice idea!

I think it's a great idea to put more effort into the enclosures, really fun video to watch 🙂Nice work.

I always thought these n. T.'s were more of a spicy species. Really glad to hear they aren't all angry because they are gorgeous.
great vid
One of my favourite T's I ever had, 'Blondie', was a N.Tripepii. Honestly one of the best T's I ever had, definitely need to get another
nice design! 💪🏻
That Nhandu is gorgeous! I need to get one =)

Damn, a minute ago? Gorgeous enclosure, I'd name it the Cave of the 8 giants
She’s absolutely beautiful, I’m looking forward to seeing my little N. Tripepii grow into its full adult fluffiness 😊
love this species!
tarantula ASMR, I love it 😂
Love rehouse videos

Im sorry, I missed what the background was molded from and is it permanently stuck to the glass? I love the the new background, looks great!
Smearing time! FUN!!!😮😅😂🎉
❤
i have bought any years a young Nhandu tripepii and it`s still an male, but if i see your giant female i think i will got an female too!
How practical the other enclosures are holding the lid.... I was thinking how poorly designed the lids are. Hopefully no clumsy accidents enclosures all over 😅
She is so cute..
Tbh the sand feels like a meme 😂
3:29 we need some more Tarantula crunching ASMR! xD
How old is your gramastola pulchra? I bought one years ago and it is smaller than yours so I'm curious.
11:20 Made my day,and it always does! Lol
Hey are you working with Ants Canada by chance? Heard he is collaborating with a spider channel
I dont want to sound like a negative nancy, but I think the spider likes chewing the styrafoam. Its something to do.
Not all, some never do it, some always!
How did you make this enclosure Petko? With the dubbeldoors? Any way to try this out with your terrarium parts?
🎉🎉🎉🎉
I still don’t get why you don’t add water bowls I quite often see my drinking
Which leaves do you always use? And where can I get them? I want to step up my Enclosures too!
Is it hit or miss that the plants 🌱 you add will survive ?
Has there been an update on the arboreal and terrestrial tarantulas he cohabited?
❤😍😍😍♥️
Nice video, but I have one question. Why in the name of the god you have a wall , full of energetic cans ?
Why do the Ts do that to the background in the first place Petco?
That’s my drawing ahhhhhhhhhh literally 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉I’m on my mom’s account
👍
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
15:45, just like my chromatus, why hide when you got a perfect wall right there
What size enclosures do you use for your tarantulas?
Salt bae the sand
natural wood?
Are you sure that Purple Pamphobetus is female? All the ones I have had that have turned purple were males!
Sand Bae
Can you lick the frogs ?
pass xD
@@TheDarkDen 😄
An update on the two tarantulas in that big enclosure would be nice.
:D
maybe gloves next time :)
