Yes you should, it's an incredible experience, I've been doing this since 2014, and it just gets better, DJI have nailed it, if you need any help with installing etc I can direct you to resources Malcolm, but for sure you'll wonder why you didn't before 😉
Thanks, really happy to get this old model operational again, slogged at this for many hours, so this now flying is a great bonus. 🙂

Thanks so much for this.... !!!!!! - it means a great deal to me. I built a 5- foot wingspan Flair SE5A + 6.5cc. 4-stroke engine, Futuba remote 4 servos, 20 years ago , but everything was stolen before I ever flew it, - while I was in hospital... 😪

So sorry to hear that. Thieves are totally sickening.
Glad you enjoyed the video 👍

Love the Se5a and very interested in the batteries. Do you have a spot welder to make up then packs and do you use a balance lead for charging like Lipo's.

Made the pack myself, and yes charge on lipo setting, really great cells.

Used a spot welder too, only soldered the main power leads to cells.

I must look into the spot welder and start making up some packs. A guy in our club does this for his fpv models and gets loads of air time. He adds an extra cell to counteract the lower nominal voltage of Lilos. So for 4s lipo he would go 5s Lilo. I would like to make up some 6s 4500 packs.

Nice video. Looks like a great place to fly.
Flight time also seemed very good. 11mins? What batteries are you using? P45B 9000mAh I think you said so that would be Li-ion. Not sure that would provide enough current for all situations. Do you need to be gentle with the throttle?

Could have easily made 20 minutes, and these aren't your regular Li-ion batteries. No shortage of power at any stage, these cells can handle it, some guys use the in big EDFs too, on landing I took the battery out, not even lukewarm, the very best there is out there now.
I use their P30 cells, 4S in an arrows 50mm Hawk EDF, 6 mins flying, lots of power and actually outperforming my 1500 100c 4S Lipos ,so I'm slowly changing my batteries for these where I can, they're amazing! Molicel P45B yes.

@@mattyboy47 Thanks. I'll have to look into those batteries.

Just checked the battery, put back almost 6000 mah after that flight, so a comfortable 15 mins is doable.

Also, what's going on with the right upper aileron? It's stuck up making the whole flight look like a sideslip!!

It's an old refurbed model, I didn't build it, the upper wing was warped, couldn't fix with heat, so I cranked it up a bit to offset, as it happened it was just the right amount 😊
