    The intros just keep getting better and better lol! Maggie; you helped make the world a better place for the British people and you put the Great back into Great Britain! Long live your legacy. May the words of Jill Knight become true; that a thousand years from now when we are all dead dust, you alone will have your hallowed name in the history books! 3 u Maggie!

      The legacy of privatisation and the funding of shareholders by those of us who pay bills and buy tickets. Such an improvement on what went before. Especially now we've stopped the railway workers strinking for....Oh, wait a minute...

      Why are you voting in labour in 1979? Still in your younger eras and get mellowed out as you get old?

      She ruined this country. The deindustrialisation that occurred under her ruined communities across this country just to please a select minority of southeastern and London based managerial types and yuppies. The changes also encouraged social ills, it’s no coincidence divorce, teen pregnancy, abortion etc all went up drastically under her tenure. She conserved sweet f all. The day normal conservatives realise that like Reagan in America she did nothing but empower the leftist forces that would destroy our culture later down the line the sooner we will have any chance to make Britain great again. Thatcher sucks, she was good for the Cold War, Falklands and for forcing the trade unions to accept some necessary and fair changes to make them more democratic, that’s it that’s all the good she did. By contrast the economic, social and cultural damage she did to the country is unforgivable. If you want to truly known how fake a “Conservative” she was simply know this, when asked what her greatest achievement was she answered with the name “TONY BLAIR” need I say more. Enoch Powell was the last hope for this country plain and simple and the establishment destroyed him for wanting to tackle the true evil at the heart of the rotting corpse that is the British political establishment.

    I am a committed socialist. And yet, curiously enough, I find Maggie enormously fascinating. I have for decades. Mere politics aside, I admired her formidable intellect. And her discipline. And her ability to stick to her convictions. That last trait may, in fact, have been her undoing. Remember the poll tax? (Or, as she preferred to call it, "the community charge".)

    • @stevebbuk
      @stevebbuk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was shifting tax away from property. She wanted to abolish the rates in 1974 when she was shadow Environment Minister. Nigel Lawson turned against her by refusing to bail her out, then resigned. She described her downfall as "treachery, with a smile on its face."

    • @mrinman7407
      @mrinman7407 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some intellect: do you really think she understood what she was doing? But then we now we've had Liz Truss and Crazy Kwarteng and the possibility of advanced warning to cronies about the mini-budget. Oh, so very clever.... If what I suspect is true they should probably be in prison with Tony....Maybe Maggie was reletively intellectual after all - or pragmatic (in a nasty way) at least.
