Nice T-Maxx love your your videos iv'e been runnin r/c cars since i was a kid, cox associated etc.If you'e the same guy that have the Rc-Help helicopter series your'e a real good teacher you adtually taught me how to fly thanks for the videos keep them coming!
I'm building my T-Maxx .15 as we speak. Had it for a while and figured while it's getting colder why not tear it apart and clean it. Also it never had a front differential so I was running it as a 2 wheel drive. It runs pretty good but the only problem is starting it. I have to prime the carb by blowing into the exhaust hose to get the fuel to the carb. I'll be watching more of your videos as I go along with the build. Great information!
I am soooo impressive by all your knowledge and how you got all put it together!! nice job and really good car! I just fixed my mini e-revo and it is showtime for me too :) Great job on Video and nice car!
grate job I two have a t maxx it was made in 2005 model 4910 it has the 3.3 maxx when i got it the 2.5 maxx as to bad to fix so i got a good deal on the 3.3 from a shop up north 150.00 dollers brand new so its on thare now no truble starting I keep it clean and oiled . i did learn a few thing from your video so thanks keep up the grate work king
everyone says go for the 2.5 or 3.3, the .15 pro is an exellent motor when cared for. its the ONLY traxxas motor that will hold a tune for a long time, easy to tune, and hold compression for several gallons.....
Your not going to believe this he just gave it to me I know nothing about nitros but I'm taking it to hobbytown because he said it would be easy to have fixed
JP RC Don't worry. I promise these nitro engines are much more simple than they seem. There are plenty of good nitro engine rebuild, break-in, and tuning videos here on TH-cam that go through the process thoroughly. If you need more direct help there are always rc forums that have nitro specific threads and knowledgable individuals that are willing to answer any questions you may have.
I just bought a used Tmaxx 2.5 and it doesn't shift into second gear... I've held the truck up and doesn't shift any idea of what it could be?? Thanks in advance! Love the videos!
Yea, I had mine set way too loose. I should be coming out with some new T-Maxx videos here soon, and slipper adjustment, the way I do it, will also be in that series. Thanks for the comment. www.Rc-Help.com
There are a number of things that you could have missed. The first thing to come to mind is you didn't put the pin behind the hex that holds the wheel. If you take off the wheel, there should be a pin behind the hex adapter that goes through the driveshaft. If that is not the issue, then look at over tightening the wheels onto the truck. This can cause binding which will lead to pulling issues. Hope this helps.
As long as you found the issue, that is all that matters. But I'm curious, what Allen screw? The only ones that I can think of are all pin grub screws so even if they are not in all the way, the pin should still lock it in. Just curious.
@@RcHelpDotCom the Allen screw inside the wheel that screws in the control arm. But I wrecked it hard the other day and broke the motor . Have a car but don't know the name of it . I'll tell you it's alittle fast sob . Gonna put a video of it up on here shortly
