Love the new intro recordology.another enjoyable show.i have a sanyo mic very similar to your black panasonic.only difference being mine doesnt work lol
Does the new intro hint at more cassette-related content? Because if so I'm definitely here for it! And the two mics are like night and day. I've always rated Panasonic stuff and this is a good indication of why.
Must buy Panasonic microphone. On my way to eBay. Yeah these are great fun. In my young and foolish days, I used to record me and my friends getting high. Unbeknownst to them. After the weed was all smoked. I'd pull it out from under the coffee table and play it back. We would all laugh like fools at the sounds of us getting high. Ahhhhh, the good ol' days. 🙂😀😃😆🤣
I know what you mean when you said both microphones are from different technologies. I have a Panasonic model number rq 2104, not sure what year was manufactured and it records way better than my onn cassette recorder by all means , great job on this video my freind
It's a GE. 8) There's a huge difference in impedance as well. You're right..it's like the different phono carts. Years ago there were crystal cartridges. The difference between crystal and ceramic? The xtal carts put out 3V and ceramic puts out about 1V. EDIT: Xtal cartridges went away do to them damaging stereo records. They are the reason why so many people think that ceramic cartridges are vinyl killers. It's also why there were separate mono and stereo LPs for a while in the '60s.
I have a question. I have an old portable school record player like you have for my 16 rpm records. I am trying to digitize them to mp3 files. The output jack is totally MONO. Is there anything i can buy to split the sound so it comes through both speakers while I listen? Thanks.
Excellent question. Yes, you can get an adapter cable / plug that takes mono (1 channel) and splits that into (2 Channel) mono connections.... something like this; amzn.to/2NkMmKh

The second one sounds slightly "deeper" but i have heard worse ones than the first. Looking forward to the R2R test.
LIKE number 1 which is pretty fun. :)

Plus I think a lot of people didn't like original mono recordings 'reprocessed' into fake stereo.
@@Recordology LOL
I have to admit that Pet Sounds doesn't sound right to me unless it's "Duophonic"
