I've had my eye on this one for a while (have both the regular and large print regular journaling Bibles which I love) but am put off my the double column for the reasons you pointed out. Unfortunately it would be massive if they did a single column, but I realized a solution while watching your video! They could create one with the double column text block split between the two pages, leaving the entire half of the page empty for notes. It would be the same size as there would be the same amount of text per spread, and you would have the same amount of note space just spaced out between the text I stead of on a single page.

I made a transition to the ESV a few years ago. I have several ESV bibles including the ESV study Bible standard and large prints. I love it. I did buy this one as well but I still need to get into it. Thank you for this video. It is very helpful. Durban, South Africa

I also like the single column centered on the page, but I prefer paragraph style rather than each verse as a separate line, but I’m not preaching out of it. In the digital Bible I am creating, I also widened the space between lines of text so I can insert word definitions between the lines. You are so right - we each need to find HOW and WHY we use the Bible to find the one that works best for us.

I have an ESV Large Print Journaling Bible and I really love it but I just take so many notes and many of them are so in depth that I have a hard time having enough room for all my notes. That’s why I’m considering the interleaved

Just found this video. I´m using the NKJV Interleaved Bible from Thomas Nelson and I absolutely love it!! I´m making so much stuff in it! I too first thought that I´ll just write all my notes on it. Wel I havent. But I do hae a lot of study notes on it but also some sermon notes, personal prayers, journaling, It´ll be my nr. 1 Bible for many years. Thank you for this video, really liked it!!

Sick Bible! I love that style with so much space, but I still stick with my logos Ipad bible, I know not a popular opinion, but I freaking love it!

Nah, Logos is the bomb. Would love to see the set up you use to walk through using those.

Excellent video/review. Really like how you stayed on topic and didn’t spend the first few minutes talking about yourself. Pure beef, as a podcast should be. We share the same goal - having all my notes in one place. However, I passed on the ESV Interleaved Bible because of its small font and black letter version. Instead, I went with the NKJV Interleaved Bible because of its red letter text, larger font, and thicker paper. I plan to use it to record my highlights from 4 sources: (1) the NASB 2020 Thinline or my LSB, (2) the CSB Study Bible, (3) the Wiersbe’s Expository Outline commentary, and (4) the NIV Life Application Study Bible. Since some of the material will be duplicated over the 4 sources, I should have enough space for just the relevant highlights. If not, I’ll simply use a journal for the excess. My only wishes are that the ESV could have come in with a larger font and red letter, and that NASB had an interleaved version. But no problem, the goal was to capture my notes in one place next to their applicable verses, even if the translation wasn’t my favorite. Thanks again for your thoughtful and well done review.

Thanks so much for watching, I appreciate it.
I totally understand, I have started using a journal alongside to keep longer notes and moved away from the interleaved.

I have it on my wishlist. It’s not in my budget. I’ve turned my Message Bible into an interleaved. The spine is broke and it won’t close. Lol

Thanks for this and your insight after a year. Looks like a new studio setup for you. The audio is amazing. Looking forward to more on the LSB.

I ordered the ESV interleaved journaling Bible and found it too heavy to enjoy it. I ended up sending it back
