Thanks for watching this devlog! If you have any game developing challenges or things you'd like to see me make in the future, be sure to let me know. Like and subscribe for more content like this, I appreciate you :*
Some video ideas I have for the future:
- Making an incremental game.
- Making a Minecraft like crafting game.
- Making a space traveling game.
- Anything with A.I (Chat-gpt API probably).
- Devlogs of my main project.
Maybe a combination of something of the above? Let me know!

2:27 remember, it's perfectly ok to google, the main point of programming ISNT memorizing the syntax, meth formulas, etc. It's the problem solving skills you use to fix your problem. If you don't know how to fix the problem, well now you can learn how to
Well put, problem solving and using the tools at your disposal is definitely 99% of programming. Should probably have made that more clear. It was just a fun little challenge to see how far I could go without it. (And METH formulas are very important indeed if you want to stay up programming 24/7😆)
yeah, i can confirm meth formulas isn't programming
@@pou-c I know a couple personally (definitely not serious, wink wink nudge nudge)
but i already memorized the meth formula ):
challenging urself is ok too.
arbitrarily deciding "i'm not gonna google how cause... reasons" for a coding project is unironically the most relatable thing i've ever seen in a devlog lmao
It's completely alien to me. Only times I've ever really coded without Google are either programming games where it ruins the point, or back when id program my calculator in class and had no access to Google.
i thought this guy was a person that made videos like this and had thousands but no.. i was surprised to see a guy like this had less than 1K subs. i really think you can be successful here loke, continue doing the amazing work you're making. :)
Wow. I never imagined receiving so many kind words and such amazing support on my FIRST video. I am truly awestruck. Thank you so much for watching, liking, subscribing, and commenting-this really means the world to me.
Right now, I'm hard at work on my next video, which is shaping up to be a banger, but projects like these take time, especially while balancing school and a part-time job, so I hope you'll bear with me.
Again, thank you, a thousand times over. Have a lovely day!
this is your first video?!?!
THIS is your first? This has amazing quality for someone's first video. You're off to a great start Loke
FIRST!?!?!!?!?!!!?!?!! I thought you made at LEAST 100 vids. Did you take a class, are you self taught, or something else?😮😮😮
i found the secret its in the description
these youtube algorithms made me laugh
1:03 that disclamer was fire
Bro has that 120k subscribers voice.
yo man, u deserve sooo much more fame. you have probably spent so mutch time editing this, its insane.
Omg i thought you were a popular TH-camr with thousands of subscribers. You deserve more than this. I’m subbing
This has been a simple scratch project for years, although a very nice implementation
This is such a squarepilled blockcore game! You're in your bouncing cube arc and i'm here for it!
Its hip to be 🟥
absolute geomaxxing
Buddy what
🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥
Things we need in the game
1. ball mode
2. make it so you can paint an image
3. mobile support
4. add custom songs
5. change the border to stretch and squish
6. add a normal reflect sound like in the videos
7. a mode where every reflect it duplicates the ball or cube
8. one of them border break things where the ball or cube has to escape
9. Any mode that they do in the videos tbh
10. Fullscreen
It is a lot of stuff but it would make the game more fun for everyone
You could try setting the screen's pixels rather than using sprites. This would put some work on the GPU, but it'd stop the squares from disappearing after awhile
Bro that’s a feature
@@Cozylion3496 no itsn ot
He literally added a customizable variable to the finished product called “despawn time”… it’s a feature

Wow! I love your editing style! Great video!
underrated creator! this video got recommended to me so i clicked on it and i really enjoyed the video! you deserve at least 100k subs!
i want this OUTSIDE laymans terms for all the nerds
This is your first video? You nailed it dude and what a fun project! Keeping at it is the only thing you need to do to have a huge channel :)
thank you layer sorting man
Loke: makes a sound feture
Me: does all of them
Loke: 😰
Me realizing that I cant do that: :/
this is legit good content for such a small content creator. subbed.
holy shrimpcake that editing is so smooth
I watched the entire video, and at the end I was baffled to see you only have 87 subscribers. Like and subscription most definitely earned.
exactly what i wanted to see lol, didnt want to write 87523 lines of python code with 43 libraries just to see a cube bouncing. thanks! great video. you should add like custom songs that you can make yourself. like manually making a song to a code that the game can read and make it a song inside.
NOO I was too late to find the secret 😭😭
Nice video, it's clear you put a LOT of passion and dedicitation into it
Also, spending an hour butting your head against a problem and only googling when you need to is a great way to get better
Thank you! And yes, it certainly helps your creativity, which is an important aspect to programming that I feel is easy to overlook
now we do the ball bouncing and the ball gets bigger and such
i saw 166k subs, and saw the actual number. you deserve way more subs for this. cool everything
ONLY 31 SUBS?!?! Man you deserve more
he got 40 subs in hours wtf
FROM 31 TO 333 IN 3 DAYS??? DANG THAT IS INSNAE
0:
DUDE @@emer486 HE GOT 396 NOW
1.5k subs in 3 weeks. 😯
this seems like it's easier to make without a game engine rather than with a game engine
it is
Here’s how I do reflecting on scratch (I’m very bad at coding but here is how I do it)
Make a variable at how much it moves (dx and dy)
Then every frame it moves by dx and dy
When it touches the wall the dx or dy multiplies by -1
just not clearing the framebuffer has the same effect and doesn't litter your memory with tons of objects.
I love long-form brainrot /j
Great video

amazing games here dude!!!, hope you get 1m subs
bro is TOO underrated
To reflect you have to invert the y if hitting the left or right wall and invert the x if hitting the top or bottom. You can invert it by taking 0 - x/y.
editing this good does NOT deserve only 70 subscribers HOLLLLY SHITTTTT
Just the voice is enough to get millions lol
now 300!!

genuienly how do you have only 113 subs

if you spam numbers in input box the edge of the options area gets color
This video is so high quality for someone with 50 subscribers! Hope you remember me when this blows up!
Thank you! And of course I will never forget you, @roaling, no matter what happens. 😘

looking great bro keep it up!
Thanks man, will definitely do!
love this kind of video
this is the best underrated video ever
speaking of which... people are probably going to use it to make videos
(i always wanted to make a game that is highly customizable to your liking with simple gameplay mechanics for background footage but idk how to do that lel)
edit: i subbed
UNDERRATED CHANNEL ALERT 📢📢🔥🔥🔥
RAAAAAAAH UNDERATED TH-camR SPOTTED ❤️
I don't know if it would work because I don't know how you made the song works but it would be cool to be able to add custom songs with MIDI files.
1.1 is insane for something like this
The intro music goes HARD my man, HARD i tell you!
the first 5 minutes are just the dvd screensaver
also it took me 3 notes to get that it was undertale
Im sorry, did you say you fixed the corner bug? Cuz I just got it lol 😆😂
Hi, David Fiesta here.
It’s cool looking at a game like this! Looks like Tik Tok trend or smth… anyway, awesome video and so cool game! Anyway, bye ✌️
Thank you, Mister Fiesta! Glad to hear you enjoyed the video🙏
This video looks like a video from a 20K sub youtuber. Good job!
Idk if I’m right but my smol brain can comprehend this but if you just make it move one direction like 2pixels x or 2pixels y every frame just make it negate or reverse the x or y value based on which wall it hit but idk
as an update you can make it so the user can change the dimensions of the cube and/or the box around it
most underrated youtuber
Nah he only has 1 and a half thousand subscribers? The algorithm needs switched out NOW.
Instead of deleting the last box when reaching the limit, try converting the last 10 boxes or layers into a seperate layer, for performance and more boxes, this way you can have 1000s of boxes
ngl all of that code in The Core section could be just simplified into a single block of code in Scratch - (if edge; bounce) 💀
did anyone else get flashbacks of the DVD logo in 4:57 ?
I remember the reflection formula by thinking of noses n=-(o-s)+s where n=new angle, o=original angle, s=reflection angle
underrated AS HELL
you need more then 196 subscribers, you are such a better creator then me and some other people.
Can You Add A Map Editor?
Good idea, maybe I will!
6:02 it is so good
Honestly, PLEASE sub to this guy. The editing is Very good, AND ONLY 631 SUBS?????????????? Wait, Make that 362.
crazy how 269 people unsubscribed
@@TheCrignryeah ik right
Underrated
I don't know if you would do it, but there arent enough "real" rhythm games out there (Like rhythm heaven). I would make it but I don't have a good computer at all (it's a MacBook air 2013). I think it would be cool, that's all.
I play this on my phone, only watched the cube for a few seconds then stopped playing but I can see how this can possibly get a mobile build in the future.
ONLY 396 SUBS?! UR SO UNDERATED!!
With the gravity option on it looks like the win animation from Microsoft Solitaire.
Hey, nice video :)
add mobile support
👍
Yeah
Agreed, it would be appreciated
I use a mobile device so I can’t input numbers
If no ads then game not free so this game gonna cost some money
@@ArchiniaxOasiswatcheron screen keyboard
I feel like this is one of those projects that might be *easier* without a game engine (think PICO-8, monogame, etc). For collision, `if (player.x < left_wall.x) {}` etc. Reflections? `player.x_velocity *= -1`. Trails? Dirty update (not clearing the screen). It seems like adding a game engine in for something like this is overkill.
Broo I could just apply rb without physics on the cube, make the air drag and drag 0 with physics material that have 0 friction, and just use the add force at the start
has anyone found the secret yet?
if you ever update this could you make a small music tab where you make a short song that loops everytime it bounces/j/j
Do more types like the ball has only [X] seconds to get out of the circle
Or the bouncing music block
people might use this to make the tiktok trend easier, just crop the ui out in a video editor and boom
Yeah definitely. I used it just like that to make 3 shorts, actually
@@LokeMakesGames lol
Me when the hypnosis
8:57 SANSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
It took me multiple days to try and find the mathematic formula to get here an object should go after bouncing Here are the results:
For Horizontal Walls its: 0 - (Current Orientation)
For Vertical Walls its: 180 - (Current Orientation)
the first random direction code + rigidbody + a physics material ith friction to 0 and bounciness to 1 would work too!
bad board game simulator, basically you get to play one of magic the noah's bad board games. I'd play that and it sounds simple enough since they're made in google slides :>
You need to add a border / cube shape modifier
1 whole DOLLAR? YOURE SO RICH DUDE!
Damn, I was about to do the same thing but you beat me to it.
Ok this is epic
I hope that you will add there things like bg collor change or even other shapes of map and cube
Um did you try inverting the x and y speed by touching the corispinded wall?
Suggestion: Make this into an actual game: There are now levels, with wall layouts, and a winpad (Upon touch moves you to the next level.). When the cube bounces, you may affect the bounce direction: For example: If the cube goes from right wall to left wall, and you are holding the right key, the cube will bounce right back. Up key is going to push it up-right, down key down-right, since your chosen direction will not be completely selected, it will just affect the bounce. (probably needed to be calculated.). There may also be damage blocks you need to avoid. There will be 2 modes: Normal and gravity (just like in the selection of this one). You may choose which one you want in a level. You can also make a level editor, where you can place wall squares, winpad squares, damageblock squares and choose modes and other settings.
Additional Ideas: Maybe adding health to a cube, (damage blocks will not insta-kill.)
Also gravity controlling explained: When it bounces downwards, and you have the up-key pressed, the jump will be higher. When you have the right key pressed, it will go right, It will not stop, until you hit a wall (you may also balance out the rightway trajectory by pressing left when bouncing of a floor (wall))
If you have any more questions or ideas, please ask or share.
I think it could be a golf style game, with levels and stuff like you said.

✨d i s c l a i m e r✨
That actually scared me
reflection is easy. just make the velocity negative when it gits a wall
Issues to fix:
-Chaos not doing anything
-Music (notes) being REALLY off and late
-The cap of size not reaching the full box and speed to reaching immense speed
-Make a trail that constantly changes its values
-Make the box with gravity be bounced higher
-The box with gravity randomly gets stuck and doesn't move
speed is broken with increase speed

How did you find this TikTok trend?
I want to learn how to identify such trends.
I literally just scrolled through Tik-Tok, saw a video like the first one and immediately thought, "That can't be too hard right?". Then I saw a similar video pop up on my S.O's feed which settled it.
yep, im traped inside this game ^^’
now make the bouncy balls and the math stuff
yes yes, nice and all... but just a small question if i may. why are you using vector3 for a 2d game?
Matter of habit really. I usually work in 3D :P
you should of used rigidbody.velocity insted of transform.position as it would of allowed for easier computing and calculations for the reflection
