- Finally the GLaDOS in Minecraft 2 is finished! It took me a long time to complete this short film but now it's done! Hope you like it and share it to other Minecraft/Portal fans! I think this is my last portal & Minecraft video I will make.. Thanks for every possitive comments! Have a nice day!

This is not animated in any kind of 3D-animation software.
When I first started I thought alright, this is going to be the Portal 2 ending IN Minecraft.
Legit!
So, the first thing I did was to of course install a shit load of mods. At the time we didn't have creative mode so I had to use mods that replicated things like that. I used the portal mod, different camera recording mods, eeh some creative tools you could use at the time to edit chunks easy, world editing tools etc.
I textured all the skins and blocks my self in Photoshop. Downloaded tons of inspirational photos from google and videos from TH-cam of different angles and things from the portal game to know how everything looked.
Too bad I have lost the private Minecraft Portal texture pack I used for this video. The models are made in Sketchup. The map I made in Minecraft by hand. It was made perfectly scaled of how it was in Portal 2. The map is also lost with time, sorry : (
Well anyhow I used my school laptop I had to play all the actors. And my stationary computer was used as the cameraman. I didn't have any friends that would know how to move perfectly as I imagine in my mind so I had to be creative haha.
I Pressed record on the stationary computer and the camera would move on it's ow path while I used the laptop with a second account on a fucking Bukkit server to make the player act live on camera. I studied film and graphic design in high school at the time and watched many documentaries about film directing, behind the scenes etc.
So, therefore I wanted to film everything the same way like a real movie company would do it. with special blocks textured green or blue. I even made red stone wired scenes timed perfectly so that the sealing would explode timed with the camera. I really wanted to make this as minecraft authentic as possible.
GLaDOS
I made Weathley and GLaDOS the same way in Sketchup. They are not animated or anything. They are legit moving in time synced with how they move in PORTAL 2 game ending.
I modeled each of their body parts in a green screen rooms and recorded them separately synced to how they moved in the ending. Each body part I would move with my mouse while Fraps was recording the desktop.
After that I would place all the parts together in Sony Vegas and manually stick and edit them together. That's why the parts move so smoothly.
Some special effects was added were I just pixelated and placed on top for finishing touches. A lot of layering and green screen elements. The rendering of the official video took 8 hours! I had to render it 6 times because ONE clip had the wrong color edit or something had to be re-shot.

Dang, welcome back I guess, lol. I honestly think this is amazingly done, at some certain parts it DOES seem like you used an animation software (I know you didn’t, but it’s still impressive.) Would love to see more portal stuff from ya.

@@GREiy45 No, that's for Bedrock edition and uses some of the textures from iChun's Portal Gun Mod, which came first and is the most popular.

The reason they dont is the mod used (the portal gun mod commonly seen in FTB) only has code for doing the four turret easter egg, it doesnt have code for the turret opera, so yeah

For the 2nd core, Chell bounces on blue gel to get it.
Dirt house on the moon was kinda funny.
Also I like how Wheatly doesn't have his handle sort of things in GLaDOS's body when he does in the game but they show up in the moon scene.
Where are the co-op bots when Chell wakes up?
I understand the walls not turning redish when GlaDOS talks evilishly.
The initial turrets are missing laser targeting.
Again, I like the video and am not hating, just felt the want/need to post some of the flaws.

ok first, I didn't have the time to add the Wheatley's bomb shields, since I didn't know much about 3D or anything about 3D animation. 2. The blue gell is because I edited this when I was tiard and didn't notice it. 3. Yeah the dirt house was kinda funny xD. 4. I didn't notice that. 5. The co-op bots got stuck in some kind of test chambers on the recording day. And the walls, same with wheatleys shields, didn't have the energy or time to do that. And the lazers form the turrents didn't work out well when I edited that in. Hope that gave you some sort of answers.. I hope.. derp, and I'm glad you liked the video! :D And sorry for my bad writing.
Just a little fact: You don't have to jump on the blue gel to get the Adventure Core (2nd). He's swinging side to side, and if you jump at the right moment, you can grab him in time. The blue gel is primarily placed there in order for you to bounce onto the other side of the broken catwalk if you miss, so that you can try again. :3 There are multiple ways to solve the tests in Portal, so there isn't a specific way to do it. I just mentioned one of the other ways. Just letting you know. :D

What alternate ending? I've never heard of a real one. I think you're talking about where Chell is stuck on the Moon, which is a fake ending.

i miss some things:
1. at 5:32 when glados "tow" her head on floor, her "eye" (that yellow thing) moves, i know it is a little thing, but it change very much
2. Atlas & P-Body should appear near elevator when Chell wakes up
3. elevator in this animation dont look even simliar to one in Portal 2
4. in Portal 2 this scene was in First Person, i expected it to be at least at Portal to moon part

This is fucking amazing. Two of my favourite games in one. Best i've seen so far. Like, Favourite, Share and SUBSCRIBE.
However, if you could make this that goo, you could probably make the first one even better, for it is shorter and therefore, much more time for you to focus on effects and animating, diamons to you my friend.

Why does every good game have to have a minecraft mod and a dozen or so different videos about it these days? Wasnt the original game good enough? I know plenty of people love minecraft, but it isnt the best game of all time.
Thats why people mod it, make amazing animations/videos in general. Because minecraft vanilla is good and all but it does tend to get a bit repetitive. Mods change it up. Animations/videos give love to the game by showing how amazing it is. These things make it better to at least get it to one of the best games.
Fireguy 36 it isnt the best game ever, and requiring mods(which i call legal hacking) to be fun is pretty lame.

The only issue I say was that when chell got on the escape lift when the first 4 turrets were singing part of the guns weren’t attached to the turret’s body. But overall, this was a great animation
