A favorite "chorus" effect I use often is the dual pitch, +5 and -5 cents detuned. It makes a great chorus effect.
That’s what I do but I go +7 and -7 😅😅
I use the basic legacy plain ol' Line 6 "Chorus" a lot. It works, it's easy.

Thank You, as always. Your discussions are the best I have found. I would like to see a discussion on the Dimension effect. Seems to be a bit of a mystery, from the forums, what the four buttons are supposed to do and descriptions from Boss seem to be non-existent. Anyway, the ear is the best judge and I am using this effect and it would be great to hear you dissect it sometime....
Dimension rules!! I have one and I like it better than the chorus effects on the Helix
No Dimension in this comparison? (It's under legacy.) Arguably one of the better sounding choruses ever made.
+10000000 - still my favorite in the Helix even though it’s a “legacy” effect
All I ever use is the plain old chorus at 25% mix. It sounds great - all the time. No need to create something from the dimension that sounds sea sick warbly. Keep it simple. It isn’t that difficult.
I like the 70s chorus. It’s not something I use a lot but it can be cool.
I wish their take on the Boss Dimension chorus was in stereo. kinda lame that it's mono only

Not positive, but I think that might be a phase 90 or similar pedal.
Want to maybe make a video on the Deluxe Phaser? I've tried on and off to make it useable for the last 3 years and I've always bounced off and went back to some other modulation effect, but no other phaser has a customizable feedback control which I pretty much require for my fav phaser sounds
The phasers in the helix are a weak point imo. I had to start using an analogue one again. The ones in the helix are just far too subtle. Within the context of a mix, you can barely hear the phasing.
I love chorus on pristine clean tones. Hate it on distorted tones. Judas Priest and Iron Maiden drenched their songs in the 80s and they sounded so washed out. They needed to dial it down or unplug it completely.
Never liked the chours on the helix, really hope this video can change my mind

there's an effect called Polly Detune which is suitable for that, this simple pitch is a TRASH
I don't know why you used this instead of Polly Detune, Simple Pitch and an effect from 20 years ago,
I used it on my G3 zoom for that
