My wife and I were sealed here, and my parents before us. This is so exciting for many generations to come to receive the blessings in the temple!

You should all sit down and ponder why the prophet chose to earthquake proof the temple. God lives.

Is it the same reason the church said to build up food storage 30, 40, 50 years ago?... it's a precaution, nothing more.

Just say it, it is made to stand through the millennium. However the mechanics going on here are incredible!

The church tends to do these things because something big is coming. Think about the missionaries being evacuated from Europe during WW2. Despite intense logistical challenges, the last ones got out the day before the war started. The same thing happened in Ukraine prior to Russia's invasion a year ago. Also consider the Proclamation to the World which came out in the 1990s, and just a few years later the most basic statements about the roles of marriage and family were under attack. The church is prophetically guided and doesn't take on these kinds of preparations lightly.

Isn't it fitting that temples are designed to connect us with the divine and not have that focus disrupted by the telestial world we live in.
A good example to each of us on how we should design our lives, focused and submissive to our Heavenly Father while not being swayed by the corporeal shaky grounds around us.

Thank you for sharing your virtual Temple Structure Tour, and its progress! 😊♥💒
I love the attention to detail as well as the explanations and visual aid to better understand the wonderful process in preserving and Protecting Beautiful Temples like the Salt Lake City Temple!
I loved the explanation of not only protecting the base of the Temple, but also allowing the structure of the Temple Building to move along with it!
It's a representative symbol about how we can move With our Spiritual, Foundational Cornerstone: Jesus Christ.
As we choose to reinforce our Spiritual Foundation, we must Also be willing to Anchor ourselves to Jesus Christ and be willing to move with the Promptings of the Holy Ghost and with God's Word through Scripture and the Lord's Prophets, much like the Holy Temple does with its added structural reinforcements.

The foundation of the temple is quite literally in the world but not of the world.
