    This is exactly what I needed to know. I know the video is old but just in case...a great idea for copying and pasting the block would have been to select the lower left corner of the internal border as copy point instead of the external and inserting it into the layout of the other project by using the direct input 0,0

    Hello, Great video. One question. When I copy my titleblock to the new layout, everything is copied except the text. I also attached a logo and the logo is copied too. Can you suggest something about the text?

    how to insert 4Mx4M box in A1 size title block . that title block in model not in view port layout .if i reduce scale then box size will reduce also. so my question is that how can i adjust that box in a1title block in model format.. viewport format i cannot use.. please reply ASAP thanks in advance.

      @007DTH 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Facto
      Refer to the video from 9:35 on-wards.
      The title block is copied to the Layout space and adjusted etc.
      Then delete it from Model space (that was just used to create it).
      Once back in Layout space, use a new viewport to view your box.

    If I use center meter as the unit. Would I still make it 11 by 8.5? or do I have to convert the 11:8.5 inches into center meter?

    Is there anyway to customize the area of the dashed lines. I made a title block but it doesn't fit in the plot area?

    • @AMR421RA
      @AMR421RA 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The hidden lines will fit around you title block once you modify your title block under Page Set Up Manager. INSTRUCTIONS **Make sure you have copied you title block into layout area before you begin to do this. Don't worry about where it is placed.*** In the Layout area right click on the Layer 1 tab the select Page Set Up Manager. Under Page Set Up Manager click Modify tab. Then under Page Setup select your printer, paper size, then under Plot Area select Window from the drop down menu What To Plot. A tab will appear to the right that says Window, click it. A cursor will appear you want to select the top left corner and the bottom right corner of you title block. Once you have done that the Page Set window will appear again make sure you have Fit to Paper and Center to Plot checked. Then click Ok then Close.

    When I paste it in the layout it became so small. Please help me how to fix this :(

    • @CounterStrikeStickerScrapes
      @CounterStrikeStickerScrapes 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      hopefully you fixed this but if not try opening the layout tab you want to use and create or select your viewport. Once you do select the drawing you want to use and type CHSPACE (meaning change space) and follow the settings. This should bring in model space drawings at the correct scale.

    when i right click in the layout it doesnt show that menu, it only shows select base point.

  • @andyternent1611
    @andyternent1611 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    good tutorial! One thing though, you don't have to try and line up the boundaries when copying titleblock at base point, all you have to do is paste at 0,0 and your don.

    How do I know if I am working with inches, millimeters or meters? And as for the layout paper size it did not came out as almost the exact size to paste. Thanks in advance

    • @TomSinger1
      @TomSinger1  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You design in full size units of choice --- Then use the viewport ( scaling) to control the exact scaling of the units to the layout
      Paper size is also based on the printer you specify in the page setup. so that may have caused the cut off material.
