This song holds special memories! My now husband stood up in the middle of a college bar on a Friday night to sing this song to me with a pitcher in one hand and beer glass in the other while I was on a date with someone else. 40 years and 37 of it married we are still going! I smile everytime~

I’m 65 years old and I played bass in a local area band. We did this song as many others have. UM does an awesome rendition and I love the crowd response...my daughter introduced this band to me. She’s seen UM more than 50 times. Now I see why!! 🤘🏻

Man we partied so much that these guys we went to the bugs on lake or cur down down there and Southside Virginia and North Carolina skiing boating partying back in the day mid '70s I'm 65 and it was all right then campfire and chaise lounge chairs in the summer and get up at first thing in the morning and go hit the hit the water and start skiing for the day and man it was so fun and right in the back of Mike's truck going from Virginia Beach to Kerr dam I think and or bugs Island one of the other and a chaise lounge chair It was so cool back and forth through the window on the glorifying it but it was good joker or Marshall Tucker or Charlie Daniels maybe some Allman Brothers but mostly Marshall Tucker and fly like an eagle with Steve Miller and I was such good music and good times back then and great memories I mean you know you're some things change and time but I don't party and do all that stuff anymore but I remember we had a blast to it back then it was so cool and if we weren't doing that we were riding dirt bikes somewhere in the mountains kind of doing the same thing having a blast flying through the air on motorcycles It was just a fun time with my friends and all had most We all had bulltaco but I think Mike had a Yamaha I don't even know if they make bull taco dirt bikes I know they got the trials bikes and some motorcycle company out of Spain and they are really an excellent bike with their really expensive to keep keep up and boring the head down and putting in pistons practically every time we went up the mountain but we had fun doing it when they were running they were running hot All right take care

WOW.... i saw marshall tucker band play this song like 15 years ago in Eldorado Arkansas, and this is up there with them. Hell umph might play it better. Genuinely incredible

Nah dude this song will never be forgotten!! Long as us old farts are still kicking. And as far as this version goes I really like it but in the original song it's just something about toy Caldwells finger picking on the guitar gives it a different sound. You should check it out if you haven't already!! But yeah just listened to this version and really dug it man. 😊

Such an awesome job on this song. I love how young the crowd is, and the fact that they are appreciating a song that is over 40 years old. This song was so well arranged by Toy Caldwell and The Marshall Tucker Band. Justin Beiber take note of real talent . Your songs will never stand the test of time.

Chris Thompson the Meat Puppets were under rated. That being said UM is amazing and certainly more versatile.

The band as a whole wants to do less shows per year at larger venues. More multiple night runs, etc. As great as some of the Omaha shows were, the turnout was weak compared to other other cities.
